This is a great half price books location. Very convenient and well stocked. Funny enough when I first moved to the area I tried to find it, maybe about 15 years ago. I went on an adventure on a rare snow day at that, it was gorgeous. I drove to Arlington and all over northeast Tarrant county looking for Harwood because 3 gas station attendants gave me bad directions. Turned out I actually only lived 3 miles from Harwood. What a day but totally worth it.

Compared to a couple of the newer stores Ive been in, this location in mid-Cities is older, dirtier, messy and, based on 1 visit, not as friendly. As always, I find a large selection, but most of the times cant find the "latest" titles in paperback that I like. At this store, the clerks check out - no one available to help out with browsing questions. I find Half-Books a change of pace from Barnes & Noble - but not a replacement.

Absolutely the best way to buy books! Love this place...employees care about this place and they are really interested in helping you get what you want and need. Their selection of books, cds, old records, and other music related items is fabulous! You really cannot beat their prices in any brick and mortar store. Did I say I love this place! Just get here and you will know 1st hand what I am talking about!

Going to this store is a joy each and every time. The representatives are helpful. They have a large selection. The prices are GREAT! And once you are done with books or records, you can take them here to get some money for them. They also have a great selection of journals...and you can also get brand new books there for a much lower price then most places. Highly recommend this store!

I love HPB. Cant go wrong here. You never know what you are going to find, but if you are looking for something specific, ASK! If they dont have it, but another store does, they will get it for you and hold it at the register. Really helpful for school assigned books and the like. Be sure to check out the DVD section for all kinds of movies and tv shows.

Place isnt that bad, but went to sell books and it took an hour and a half. I went outside to make a phone call and when I came back in I asked if they were done. The manager said "first of all dont leave the store. Ill give you 10 dollars." It wasn the wording as much as the way he said it. I will not be back.

I love walking to HPB since it sits in the shopping center next to my neighborhood. I have learned though not to sell my books/movies/CDS here cause they dont pay anything. But the staff is always very helpful if I have any questions. I love browsing the Clarence sections for movies & books.

A little bit more costly than I would think used books should be. Good selection though. Dont sell more than about 5 books at a time and dont put all your great books together. Also, dont take it personally when you get offered pennies on the dollar gor your books.

Was looking for the last book in a series so I could send to my niece in Ft. Worth and they had it in the store. The gentleman that answered was very helpful, went and got the book for me and is holding for my niece! Just made her night!!! Thank you so much!!!!!

I always love to come here first to look for books before going to a bookstore because of the great prices! Great selection and staff. More than enough parking and easy location on a slightly busy street. They have great games and records available as well!

Possibly THE BIGGEST CD CLEARANCE RACK at any Half Price Books. Service is fine (never experienced any issues here), store is clean/organized well. Selection is fine, but like any other Half Price Books you may or may not find what youre looking for here.

I waited 30 minutes for an offer of .50 cents. Then was basically laughed out the door. I was embarrassing and I will never sell anything here again. Only good thing is coffee and Wifi. Do not sell your books here. Prices for buying pretty okay.

Good selection of vinyl and books, store is a little older and has limited seating if you want to review something prior to purchase, has a decent selection of other items as well Ive bought reasonable board games and videos here

generally "OK" experience, mostly when they sent out coupons via email. have seen multiple examples of the general staffs "liberal" ideology influence how customers are treated when dealing with "conservative" material.
