I absolutely love Ulta! When they added the Winston-Salem location several years ago because it meant no longer have to drive to the Greensboro location. The employees are typically pretty friendly and it will help if you need it. They arent pushy if you tell them you are just browsing. I love their fragrance section. They always have my favorite matte Bare Minerals foundation when Sephora is typically out of it. Last Christmas they had a great deal on their travel size hair care products, which was actually cheaper than the professionals only beauty supply store in the area, so I stocked up for gifts. Their sales area was pretty messy and nothing was organized last time I visited, as was the drugstore section. I was looking for a Nyx lip color but everything was so out of place I had no idea where to look. I payed with a paper gift card and cash on my last visit, that had been emailed to me so I had to print it out. There girl at the checkout seemed very perturbed by this as she rolled her eyes at me and said "I dont know if we accept paper gift cards." She paged her manager over who showed her where the barcode was located at on the paper. She proceeded to roll her eyes again once her manager had walked away. So I dont know if she was having a rough day but it wasnt exactly an ideal customer service experience. I got what I needed at least.

Ive been there a few times and nobody really ever asks if I need help. Today I called about their conditioning treatments, etc. Laura told me to go in at 5 and when I got there she was busy, which is fine, but the girl at the front, Brandy, was having a non work related conversation on the phone. I just stood there for a good 5 minutes until the skin care lady walked over to ask if I needed something. Laura was nice but by the end when she was blow drying my hair she was rushed due to the fact that they were turning off the lights. I understand they close at 6 but I called in advance with what I wanted done and she shouldnt have scheduled an hour before closing if she couldnt do a nice job. I told her I wanted side bangs and she kept asking where to cut. Like, I came to you because I dont know how to cut hair. I thought we still had ways to go when she told me she was done. My hair was still damp and it seriously looks like I blow dried it in a hurry after showering right before walking out and letting the rest air dry. I hate having to have paid for THAT. I look the same as when I walked only with shorter hair damp hair.

I usually dont write reviews- however Im so tired of going to this location and not receiving any help. Not one single employee offers a "hello," or "how can I help you." The ONE time someone did offer to help me I was looking for a primer. She tried to push a primer on me from the makeup line I guess she was working for because as soon as I said I wore bareMinerals and wanted to stick with that brand I was left, yet again, to figure it out on my own. Yesterday I wanted someone to help match me to my "summertime makeup" color...but alas, no help. So I just left empty handed. Looks like Ill be going to Sephora from now on!

The management must be terrible, the staff basically sucks. I made a hair Appointment, and they had me waiting for almost an hour. When I first arrived no one was even keeping an eye on check in. Luckily I was haphazardly helped by the skin care technician. They would text me while I shopped around. I never even got a text, so about 40 minutes When I finally went back in to check on when I could get my hair cut. The girl there, Laura said it would be another 5 minutes, not even sorry. No apologies. Will not be back. Can easily buy all products off Amazon anyway.

Today I went in to have my eyebrows waxed by April. I had never been to this location before because I only come to the area to visit my long distance boyfriend. So of course, when you go to see someone new to handle your eyebrows, there will be a bit of trepidation. Not only did April do an amazing job, she was also incredibly friendly. I would like to repeat that she did an amazing job. My eyebrows look better than they have in months. I wish I could take her back with me when I go back overseas, where I live!

Went shopping for my Daughter for Christmas. I was overwhelmed by the available products. The customer Service is terrific. I asked for help on one item and she showed me what young women my daughters age likes and stayed close by to help me with other ideas. If youre a dad or husband and dont know what to buy go there and youll walk out with the right things.

One of the larger stores Ive been in. They have a great selection of drug store and high end products. The layout divides they types of products in a way that is super easy to navigate. The only down fall is the lack of staff. There were not enough cashier and the employees on the floor seemed to only represent a specific brand not the ULTA store itself.

Have had a great experience here when it comes to simply shopping for makeup; the staff arent so pressuring when it comes to asking if you need assistance. Also, the salon is wonderful as well! Had a great haircut by Kerry. She listened to everything I asked for and made great conversation. Highly recommend this Ulta for all beauty needs!

They have almost everything you can think of. They should think about doing letting people ordering online and picking up in the store like other stores. The store is always clean and in order. Unfortunately, (when I go) there is limited staff for help and 1-2 cashiers with an extremely long line.

My favorite makeup store. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the store is usually clean and organized. I love the fact that Ulta carries both high-end and drugstore products. Their reward program is wonderful and they offer good coupons for their drugstore items as well.

It never fails...whatever the particular product I am looking for, they are out of it...lipstick, eye-shadow, foundation, eye-liner, eye-cream, moisturizer, mascara etc. Then they suggest, I try and order it online. Really....

My wife and I have been to quite a few Ulta stores around NC and this is one of my favorites. The layout makes sense and things are easy to find. Also, their return policy is fantastic, but that is an Ulta thing in general.

An excellent selection of cosmetics, perfume, hair care, and bath/body selections. They have awesome sales, regular coupons by mail, an awesome rewards program, and really cute/useful free gifts on certain purchases.

The store itself is nice. But God forbid an issue ever arise with a purchase, because the staff sucks at customer service and resolving issues. Shop at your own risk.

I drove 30 minutes to winston. To get color matched an get a new bronzer. I walked around in the store for 15 minutes NO ONE offered to help me. So I left.
