Wondering Aloud
Because of this store and Best Buys overall policies, I will never purchase from BB again! Purchased a dash cam January 31, 2017. I asked the salesperson what their return policy was if I didnt like the item, and he specifically told me I could return it within 90 days, no questions asked. On April 6 I returned to the store to return the item, and was told there was a 15 day return policy unless I was a member of some exclusive club they have, which would have allowed me a 45 day return policy. Got a notice near the beginning of March that my payment was past due. I was not aware of it, so got online to look at the account. Had a horrible time trying to access my account online, so called their toll free number to get help. Was routed and re routed five times "in an attempt to collect a debt". Even when I managed to get a human on the phone, they refused to speak to me about the technical issue until I paid the bill. I went to the store to pay on the bill, they refused to take a credit card as payment. Went back a week later and attempted to pay, but they refused a debit card! Told me it was cash or check only. Who the hell writes checks anymore? They sure dont have a problem accepting either of those methods of payment when I purchase something! A debit card is the same as cash! So I left, went home and wrote the CEO of the company. He referred me to one of his minions, who, a week later, has not returned my calls or answered my calls. Another person called to get payment over the phone, and I told her the issues I was having, and that I wanted the late charge taken off the bill since Id attempted twice to pay the bill but they wouldnt accept payment. She said she was taking the late charge off, I set up a time for the money to come out of my account. Three days later I was back in Best Buy to get a Zagg glass put on my phone and my iPad, and the Best Buy card was declined!!! I called the number, got a recorded message "an attempt to collect a debt" of $27!!! WTF? I called the minion from the head office and left yet another message, to which I have received no reply as of yet. This morning the CEO gets another email from me, I still have not been able to achieve online access, I dont know where this past due $27 comes from, I have a $200 dash cam that is useless to me, the cracked Zagg cover for my phone is in their trash can because the guy didnt return it to me, and I got home to find out I need to return that to Zagg in order for them to honor my lifetime warranty! The salesperson seemed very knowledgeable about how Zagg worked in those matters, I have never dealt with them so had no idea, etc. Nope, once the dust settles from all this, I will not be spending my money there again.

*****BUYER BEWARE ******** After visiting this store on 3 seperate occasions and speaking with Home Theater Expert Skip Almond, he sold me a Samsing 65 inch, 4K tv Model number 8585. Upon getting the TV home, it was apparent that the TV had issues. I consulted numerous help suggestions on the internet to no avail. Trying to return the TV, Skip informed me to try and work it out as 4K content would not be released until next year around Jan-Feb and the TV should improve. I told him that the HDMI port that I have my Blu-Ray plugged into was just as bad and that the Blu-Ray movies looked terrible. After numerous hours of trying to get the TV looking better, I made the return to this Best Buy Store #1385. The Assistant Store Manager who helped me informed me that the Samsung 65 inch model 8585 has many issues and they have had the TV returned more than any TV they have in the store. I asked him how long they knew about it and he said " awhile". I asked him if the Home Theater techs knew this and he said yes. Knowing this, why did Skip Almond sell me this TV ?? Why does Best Buy allow a TV to have a known issue be sold on the floor ?? This is about as unacceptable as it could possibly be and I for one will never purchase anything from Best Buy in Waynesville, NC, Store # 1385 ever again. Also, buyer BEWARE of Skip Almond in Home Theater as it is obvious that all he is concerned with is his daily selling numbers and could give a crap about customer knowledge or taking care of anyone by his actions. Knowing this TV had issues, he should have never sold the product to anyone. This is the type of salesman that should be banned from anything retail. *****BUYER BEWARE ********

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE OF ANY BEST BUY I HAVE SHOPPED IN. I recently moved to the area and have bought several items at this store. First a new PC, some software, a pedestal fan, and today, a portable hard drive. I had a hard time locating the portable hard drive but as I walked around the PC area, I saw 2 employees nearby chatting. Further over in a different department there were 2 more chatting. It took about 10 minutes to find what I was looking for and took it up to the customer service desk to check out. (I didnt see any other customers in the store.) I put my item on the counter and the girl says "Are you ready to check out?" No greeting or "may I help you". Then after I paid, she pushes the item toward me, so I asked if I could please have a bag. She got one. Then there was a pause, so I said "thank you" and she said "youre welcome". By this time I was ticked off, so I asked her if the employees ever get customer service training. She just looked at me so I told her she should be thanking me for my purchase and greeting me in some way. She made some kind of noise that I heard as "haha", so I told her that haha would get this store a bad review and walked out. At my previous residences, I have always had good luck at the local Best Buy stores, but this one consistently provides TERRIBLE customer service. I have complained before about employees standing around chatting when I cant find what Im looking for.

Wow, I went into Best Buy to buy a TV. I was actually planning on leaving the store with a TV, but I could not get anyone to help. A man was sitting at a desk in the TV section, I told him I had picked out a TV, could he get one for me. He didnt have to sell me one, spend any time with me, just get the box. He said he wasnt actually working (although he was on the Best Buy computer at the Best Buy desk. I asked if anyone else was available, and he said yes and went back to playing on the computer. I walked around for about 15 minutes. I tried to flag down someone who could retrieve the box that held the TV I had picked out. The other workers would not even make eye contact and would walk away if I came up to them. I finally decided that there was no way I was going to be able to spend the $450 on the TV I wanted because no one would stop for just a moment to hand me the box. The store was almost empty at the time. I will never go back in this store, I rather drive to ASheville and spend my money in some store there. What a sorry excuse for a business. If I were the owner or shareholder I would want the $450 I was going to spend, but I guess if I were a worker I wouldnt. Hate to see folks lose job, but this place either needs to close or get actually employees who help. By By Best Buy
