I took a vintage Soviet military watch to them yesterday. a part in it called a cannon pinon was just loose. I know for a fact that was the issue because I have another slightly different model of the same watch with the same movement that had the same issue and it was fixed by another watch maker whom I cant seem to get a hold of now. The first guy I talked to agreed with my assessment and said their master watchmaker would look at it and call me tomorrow. I said ok no problem. So I wait all day for a call and get no call....ok strike one. So I call up there while Im in rush hour traffic after work. After some shuffling around and some whispering I get a very abrupt come pick up the watch its un-repairable. I said how can that be just tighten the canon pinon I would do it myself but I dont have time or the tool anymore hence why I had to take the first one to another watchmaker. Then i get some about a part is broken and parts arent available. Go on ebay and look up 2414a movement they are a dime a dozen and parts separately are plentiful. I said just order the part and add it to the invoice. Yes, the watch isnt worth much and its not a rolex or anything but I like it and want it fixed. I was then met with a no sir we arent going to do that come pick up your watch up anytime. I said fine be there soon. I get there and the girl working there pulls it out of the drawer and doesnt say hello or sorry we couldnt fix it nothing, just tosses it on the counter and turns back to watching tv. Thats strike two and three. I get home and I open it up and all the watchmaker did was turn up the spring tensionor. That has nothing to do with the cannon pinon in the least and all it does it just speeds up the second hand and throws the time off. so I had to set it back to what I know was the proper setting. Thats strike four and they are beyond out. If you have any kind of vintage watches or jewlery dont even waste your time. I work ten hour days and they wasted my time over a period of two days and didnt even have enough decency to or apologize. The funny thing is the watch runs and holds time just fine. Its just hard to set the time due the loose cannon pinon if the spring winds down like if I let it sit over the weekend when Im mainly at home. So they part that i was told was broken wouldnt even move the minute hand and keep time. I dont know if its a case of being incompetent, just didnt wanna do it because of what the item is, or simply just didnt know how to work on that movement. All I wanted was an honest answer and I wasnt given one nor was I told about the adjustments that were made to the watch that I had to reverse. I know im the odd man out in the reviews here but thats what I experienced and should anybody else have something similar they should know what to expect. Dont get me wrong its not that they couldnt fix it its that they didnt even try even after I gave them the go ahead to order whatever parts were needed off ebay and said to just fix it. The tossing the watch on the counter and not even looking at me didnt help matters either.

Dont go there! I brought my wedding ring to them to fix it because I lost one stone. That was a big mistake. First, they put the wrong stone in my ring and then after I complained they replaced the wrong stone but they put the stone way too deep so the ring didnt look the same like before. Furthermore, they replaced another stone that was supposedly broken without asking for my approval. And that stone was also put way too deep. So I was totally upset. Then I gave my ring to a very great jeweler and fortunately, they could fix it. It looks great again like before. The jeweler was indeed more expensive than Treasure Isle but it was worth the money. Never go to a cheap jeweler if you have a valuable jewel. That was a lesson to me.

My engagement ring was much too large, but I couldnt stand the thought of dropping it off to be resized and having to wait several days. I went to Treasure Isle the day after my engagement and they were able to re-size in just 2 hours. My band is engraved, which makes re-sizing tricky since you lose part of the engraving. The jeweler went above and beyond, taking the time and care to make a new engraving to cover the re-sized space. He was also very knowledgable about the diamonds, giving me some fun facts about their age and make. There are some fancier jewelry places in the area, but I doubt that any will provide better customer service and care.

I had an antique family diamond and needed a setting for an engagement ring. Several of my friends had done business with Treasure Island and were very satisfied. I met with Phil and he helped me design a platinum ring for the diamond. It turned out beautiful and the price was outstanding. Easy to work with and great craftsmanship. I recommend them highly. I read the other review about someones ring being damaged: thats not my experience at all. They have repaired and sized things for me and my family; Also, appraised items. I am a very satisfied customer and highly recommend them.

I have purchased items, had items repaired and also had items designed at Treasure Isle. I have had outstanding customer service, great prices and would do business there in a heartbeat! All of my dealings over a multi-year period have been excellent with great customer service - especially from Phil Sykes. I have sent many friends there for a variety of purchases and jewelry repairs and they are all happy customers. Anyone can have a bad experience. Mine at Treasure Isle have all been great

I wear a size 10 womens ring and I have taken all of my rings to be resized to Treasure Isle. They have never disappointed me. They have done excellent work on all my jewelry repairs as well. They warn you if what you are asking them to do will change the shape of the jewelry or might harm it in any way. I have been asking them for years to get a store in North Raleigh and Yahoo, they finally have. I would recommend them to anyone...Oh wait! I have recommended them..quite often!!

In the past few days, my wife and I decided to shop around to try and sell some jewelry that was not being used. Upon comparison to other jewelers, Treasure Isles salesperson could not even look us in the eye and offered us an amount that was hundreds of dollars lower than the next jeweler. When looking to sell gold of any kind, please shop elsewhere unless you want to be paid about HALF of what it is worth!

I needed to go down one size on my ring and ended up with a lot worse. I have diamonds on the side of my ring and they crushed both sides where they held the ring in a device. Four diamonds fell out and i had to send it back to California where it was orignally bought. Another company fix it, but the ring has never looked the same. PLEASE STAY AWAY!!
