I am on the fence between liking Duck Donuts or loving Duck Donuts. My first experiences ordering at Duck Donuts were a little embarrassing. I tried to order a Boston Cream and a jelly-filled only to find out they do not serve any donuts that have fillings. I know the uniqueness of Duck Donuts is the ability to customize a donut anyway you could imagine, but sometimes too many options makes the process semi-confusing. Its not like going to Dunkin Donuts and seeing a plethora of donuts behind a counter and picking from what you can see. You have to choose from a list of options to "build" your donut, but without really being able to see what youre ordering. Its kind of like Chipotle for donuts if you werent able to see any of the options available to make your burrito and werent able to watch your burrito being made. I tried to order a "chocolate donut with sprinkles" on my second visit but that didnt fly either. The cashier wanted me to build the donut from the base up to the toppings. Now that I have been to Duck Donuts a bunch of times I feel like Ive gotten the hang of it. I think if I had gone in knowing what to expect it would have made the first few experiences more positive. Once youve been able to make the perfectly crafted donut, it is definitely worth it! Make sure to eat them warm!

On my first trip to duck donuts I had a horrible encounter with a very rude employee. I had walked in and started to take the place in and figure out how it all works. I was there for 2 mins before anyone spoke to me and when they did they told me they were closed. I was surprised because the OPEN sign was on and lit up bright and the door was open. When I mentioned that to the employee who was speaking to me, another employee rudely shouted at me. Apparently this commotion got the attention of the manager who came out and tried her best to smooth it all over. But given the fact that hard words had been spoken, I did not trust that employee to make my food. I asked for and was given the contact info for the owners. I sent them an email concerning what happened. Apparently they really dont care too much about it. I did not receive anything, not ever a general reply. So it is fair to say that my first attempt at Duck Donuts to see what other kind of donuts are available other than my krispy kreme was a miserable failure; therefore it will be my last. So I think this will conclude my attempts to find a different place other than my good ole krispy kreme

Delicious, "self designed" donuts. This is a fantastic idea. You go in, they have a list of the icings, toppings, and drizzles you can top your donuts with. You can pick one of each per donut. Dont be afraid to mix and match. One of my favorites is the Lemon Cooler, powdered sugar with a lemon drizzle. These donuts are the best Ive ever had. You create your own donuts, every donut in your box and be a different donut if you want, go crazy. The space is a little small, not like they can help it though, they are in a shopping center, not like they can expand. Depending on what time you go, they can be busy. Be patient, remember, they are creating each donut to order, unlike Krispy Kreme or Dunkin Donuts, they arent premade. If you want to try something other than your typical Krispy Kreme or Dunkin Donuts, give this place a try!

The donuts are so good here. The only problem I have is the small space. This place is so popular that everytime you go, the line is probably to the door. Its packed and you have to smush together with strangers whenever you go at a high traffic time. Maybe its not that bad as it sounds for some people, but knowing me, i tend to not like higly packed places. Conclusion, they need a bigger space to accomadate the demand of this place. Other than that, they have amazing, high quality, cakey donuts and good coffee.

Where do I begin? I am sitting in my car, parked in a nearby lot, slowly devouring the maple bacon masterpiece. This is my second trip to Duck Donuts, I really tried to only purchase one donut, but of course, I happily walked to my car with a dozen! I love these donuts! The perfect balance of a cake donut and a yeast donut with a subtle sweetness that invites your palate to experience more. The Duckies/employees are always wonderful and smiling when greeting you. Quack on Duck Donuts - youre the best!

Amazing donuts... My fiance and I never heard of this place and were like hey why not... Very fresh and made to order with speedy assembly... And a huge plus is that these donuts dont give us heartburn or indigestion which is a bonus because they are delicious... I have recommended this place to so many people and now they are hooked. Just off of 540 interstate exit 9 next to Kroger. Great place to sit outside to enjoy the morning/day

When the Gods want donuts, this is where they go! It was a cold and dreary day when I decided that I needed something sweet to satisfy my hunger. When I opened the doors to this amazing bakery of delicious delicacies, angels started singing and trumpets started playing. The smell of home entered my nose and at once there was peace in the world. For real though, this place is freaking amazing!

The people were extremely busy, but never let that effect their service. I rode my Harley to pick up the donuts. Problem no saddlebags. They wrapped the boxes together to make it easier for me to balance them on my gas tank. I surprised my Wife at her workplace with them, and her coworkers loved them as well. Now for their department treats its duck donuts.

This place is awesome! You basically get to build your own donut! You start with a donut base, pick your flavor of frosting, pick toppings and or a drizzle and your done! Theyre served hot and I like to eat mine with a knife and fork. They are so good and the staff is very sweet. There is a bit of outdoor seating but only one or two tables inside.

Pretty busy made-to-order donut shop. Cake donuts hot off the line dipped, drizzled, and covered to order, much like the Fractured Prune donut shop that used to be in Brier Creek. Both times Ive been the donuts were OK, but a little too oily for my tastes. Names for popular topping combinations would also be beneficial.

WOW! What amazing donuts! What I loved? (besides the taste) You actually "design" your donut - glaze, topping, sprinkle - and no extra charge. Fresh and delicious! My favorite: maple with bacon bits! Add to that, they are LOCAL! Only, only (small) downside, seating is extremely limited BUT dont let that stop you.

Its a fun experience for any kid or adult to visit a Duck Donuts location. Good customer service. Samples. Lots of options. I love the ability to customize my donut with flavorful icings and toppings all at no extra charge. Your donuts can all be the same or each very different. I highly recommend a visit.
