Driving from Burlington to this dealership takes over an hour. So I told them that if they wasnt sure if they could help then dont tell me to come. They PROMISED me that I would drive myself home. They ran my credit and i was approved, but i needed either a bigger down payment or a cosigner. I told them BEFORE I came up ther that I only had a certain amount and no cosigner. They still told me to come. The only ride I had had to leave for work and they once again said that I would drive myself home and to tell my ride to leave. Once they found out that i couldnt put any more money down he pretty much kicked me out. Im stranded and hour and 15 mins away from home with a newborn and J.R. tells me that i need to walk to the convenience store up the street because he is not going to wait for me to find a ride before he closes. He said that its not his fault that I got dropped when he told me to tell them to go. He kicked me out of his dealership with a newborn baby on my arm. I was skeptical about it from the start because I had been getting turned down at every other dealership for a week. But this man PROMISED me he would get me in a car. They wasted my time and money. And who kicks out a young mother and her baby in the cold? If he couldnt help me then I would not have made that trip. He shouldnt have promised. I shouldnt have trusted. I would not recommend anyone making this trip until these people have approved you. I wouldnt want anyone else in the position that i was in today. Mean people who laugh at you when you are crying because youre stuck and hour away from home. People who did not care if u got home or not because they live up the street. Do NOT shop here.

I purchased an 85 Yamaha Venture Royale 1200 trike from a dealer in South Dakota (after extensive research), knowing I needed to replace the air shock compressor. I brought it to Kevin Powell and after scouring the country, they replaced and fixed the issue. For that, I give them 5 stars. However, after the bike sat during the winter, I replaced the battery and could not start it without the choke (giving throttle choked it out). I again went to KPMS and they cleaned the carbs (there are four of them and they have to be synched after). $700 later, I drove the bike home (early June). The bike sat for 3 weeks and I went to drive it to work one day (even though we were in a heat wave) and I have the same issue - though it will now idle with half choke and will run VERY ROUGH, while trying to cut out when using the throttle. Ive put less than 50 miles on this bike since I purchased in January 2016 and spent over $1700 in repairs. The original dealer stands behind it and is trying to get in touch with Kevin Powell Motorsports to resolve this lemon, but KPMS hasnt responded to repeated calls. I could bring it back up there, but assume theyll just say its something else and charge me another $700. (sigh) I dont know if its a lemon of a bike or the work done on it by KPMS, but I know have a 1000 lb doorstop in my parking lot. Mark Moore

First off I would like to say that Kevin Powell has the cheapest prices on parts of anywhere I have found. With that being said, I ordered parts from them on Monday morning. Tuesday afternoon I received a call saying that I didn’t select the facility (which I did) to ship it too. I called back and told them the Greensboro facility. I called on Thursday to acquire a status and they said they needed to transfer me to parts. Once transferred, I was on HOLD FOR 15 MINUTES! Then I hung up and called back... once again they patched me through and were on HOLD FOR 10 MORE MINUTES!!!!! This time I hung up and told the receptionist that I have been on hold for nearly 25 minutes (almost my entire ride home from work). she said let me see if I can help you. All of a sudden she has the capability to check my order... She confirmed it hasn’t been delivered. Today is Friday, I call again for a status update and was put on HOLD FOR 10 MINUTES and they advised that the part still hasn’t arrived. Going by the way they handle their phone calls, my assumption is my order is LOST SOMEWHERE!!!!!! I am personally going to their facility today to figure this out; I will let everyone know how it goes. My advice- Please just spend the extra 5-10 dollars and order it off the net and ship to your house..... This is a HEADACHE!!!!

Shady business being done here. I went to purchase a 2012 Honda civic with an out of state license which was stated to the salesman Mark Tucker who told me it wouldnt be a problem as long as Im working on getting an NC license which I am. The dmv doesnt take copies of SS card or birth certificate they need originals which I paid for and am waiting to receive in the mail. Needless to say after they let me pull off the lot and drive the car for almost three weeks I get a call saying the initial finance company changed their mind because mark lied and said I was at my job for a year and 6 months which I also told him I was at my job for 9 months. Then by switching finance companies my payments go up from $358 to $406 then the finance people say they wont allow me to sign the new papers until I get a nc license which was fine. The next day I get another call saying I need to return the car and theyll hold it until I get my license transferred.......not with my down payment so I returned the car and asked for my money back and they tried to make it seem like I did something wrong when they fudged numbers just to get a sale. I wouldnt deal with this company ever again nor will I recommend it. I told three people to come here and after my experience I turned then away

Worst customer experience at a dealer. EVER. I originally called in and setup an appointment to purchase a bike, when I got there, the paperwork went smoothly even though the financing rates I had discussed with my salesperson, Joel, was quite a bit different than I we had discussed over the phone before I came. It was about a 2% APR difference, but wasnt big enough to sway me from purchasing the bike after traveling over an hour to come see it. So I got the bike and and the bike has been great so far. Now, fast forward to post-purchase experience. It took me 2 MONTHS to get my valid NC plates after repeated calls to the dealer. So I ended up paying payments and insurance on a bike I couldnt even ride legally because my temp tag expired and the dealer kept forgetting to send me my plates after repeated calls. At the same time, I also requested my owners manual for the bike they never gave me. To this date (3 months later) and 7 phone calls, they keep promising to send me my owners manual and STILL have not sent it. I need to service my bike now and cant do so because I have no owners manual. Great. Bottom Line: These guys will love to sell you a bike just like any dealer, but post-purchase help or care? Non-existent. Would never buy from this dealer again.
