My wife and i had the worst shopping experience we have ever encountered. We entered the store on Bridford around 8 pm on a wednesday night. The store was not busy, one employee was standing at a display , texting on his phone. After being ignored for several minutes, we asked the young man where we could find binoculars. Without looking up, he said in firearms. We then went to the firearm section. The employee behind the counter had his back to us. He purposely ignored us for over 15 minutes. Another employee came by left some merchandise , looked at us and left. Finally the employee behind the counter turned around and said " I do not know what you need, but i can not help you. What do you want ? " I said binoculars. He hatefully said " you just need to go some where else. I responded, "If you feel that way , i will " His response, "good , go on ! On the way out we stopped at the counter and asked for the manager. Nobody assisted us. We showed them what we wanted to buy , but since they did not want my business i left. I drove a half mile and went to Dicks where i was greeted with smiles and helpful assistance. I purchased a pair of binoculars and made plans to buy two shotguns . When I got home i called Field and Stream and asked for the manager. I was placed on hold for 12:23, then the person who put me on hold came back on the line. Needless to say , i will never step foot in that store again. I want to add, at no time did i or my wife complain or argue or do anything to deserve the treatment. Thanks DICKS.

Went to this field and stream and had my bow set-up. Let me tell you these guys have no clue what there doing or telling you. Im 6 3 tall and from finger tip to finger tip I am 75". They told me my draw length should be a 27 draw and thats what they set my bow at. My D-loop on the bow folds against the nock and the guy instead of putting new one on says we can just bend it around a little and it will be ok. Told them I want my bow set on 60lb draw weight and the guy just starts turning my lugs on my limbs loosing them. First things first you should tighten your limbs back all the way down and then start from there rotating to each limb turn after turn. After dude didnt even check my tiller on my bow. Once questioned about each thing guy kept telling me that basically I was wrong. Everything should have been free but I believe with my questioning them and all I ended up getting charged with and extra 20 dollars for a tune which I didnt get. These guys in the archery department are not at all skilled at there jobs. All they want to do is sit on there stools and chit chat. Need to hire better personal with better experience. Will not go back and buy or have anything to do with the archery department at this store. Also Im not one for doing any types of reviews but people should know. Go to local shop for better service and experience. Recommend Bob Morgan he knows his stuff.

I have found the store to be very nice and the employees helpful when I am in the store. I tried calling the Greensboro North Carolina store for a simple SKU # check to see if 2 items were in stock. The first employee that answered had to direct my call to the department for the check. When I said that they were two different items and not in the same department, she said that I would be transferred to each department. Seems archaic but shouldnt be a problem, right? Apparently no one can simply check inventory in a computer there because each department employee had to put me on hold to go find the item with my description of the item i wanted to know about. Ultimately I was transferred and on hold for several times and minutes to simply check 2 numbers. Additionally because I only had the SKU number and not the make and model of one item, that departments employee couldnt help at all. Ill call Academy, Bass Pro and Cabelas to see if they can easily pull their inventory information up to save me a wasted trip to the store if they are out of stock.

I gotta tell u, the fire arms manager Michael Cox, went above and beyond to help me get sold on an eotech hologram sight as well as a G33 magnifier for my Ar. He didnt stop there, he made sure it was mounted and sighted by his ppl in a professional manor and built an awesome store/ consumer relationship with me that is rarely seen in Greensboro or even in any retail capacity in greensboro period. Customer service doesnt exist in greensboro anymore. This guy keeps me coming back and is totally knowledgeable about what hes doing. This guy that drove 45 minutes only to be mad at the world,probably went in beating his chest instead of understanding why the manager couldnt do what he wanted done. The ole saying goes u get more with sugar then u do with a salt.. Lol the store is stocked nicely and staffed with ppl that are pleasant to talk to that share your same interest in outdoor life. Totally recommend this store and hope I dont run out of money at the gun counter! Good job Michael Cox and the whole gun counter team. Im sold!

1st off my overall experience was rather good. They have a large selection as well as plenty of representatives that are more than willing to help you find what youre looking for. My only problem was that when I was checking out the manager overheard the conversation I was having with the cashier. It was nothing that had to do with him and he was extremely rude. The topic of the conversation was simply that they had to check my age to purchase paintball mask. I went about it in laughable matter, he took it as if I was challenging his authority. Thats just pathetic, Im a customer who isnt causing a probelm, having to puff out your check for being a retail manager is ridiculous. So I wont be visiting for a while, Ill take my business elsewhere.

Extremely POOR Customer Service. Bait and switch. Called the store about a firearm that was on the website. Was told it was not in stock but I could come to the store and order it. Drove 45 minutes to the store to find out the firearms manager and the outdoor manager (Reid) could not honor the online price but could order me a different firearm for 3 times the price. Completely useless customer service. The management there is a joke. That is ok I will spend my money elsewhere and in return they can have this glowing review.

Excellent experience at Field and Stream. They had two Glocks on sale that I wanted, went in to check them out and they were able to help me determine the correct one for my needs and answered every question I could throw at them. They were able to make excellent recommendations for everything I was looking at. I worked with Michael, Lucas, Wes, and Jordan in the firearms department and they were all extremely knowledgeable!! I got the gun and ammo I wanted at great prices! Ill be back soon for a holster!
