Due to some scheduling issues my shower was fairly early in my pregnancy and a few months before my due date. After the shower, I had wanted to purchase a few things off of my registry. I had hopes of getting my nursery set up while I was energized and mobile. When you sign up for a registry they tell you that they will provide a coupon near your due date to use on the registry items you did not receive. I specifically asked before purchasing the registry items if I would be able to bring the 15% coupon in with the receipt, once I received it in the mail. They said yes. Well, I got the coupon in the mail and went in today w/ all of my receipts and they rudely informed me that my receipts had to be from the last 30 days. No one ever mentioned the 30 day time frame when I made the purchases a couple of months ago. I called and spoke to a manager, to no avail. She acted like it was odd that I had wanted to purchase things so far in advance of my due date and acted like I was to blame. If they do not write this info on the receipt, or on the coupon, or tell you, how on earth are you to know? It seems that every time I am in this store I leave frustrated. SO GLAD they are getting a little competition from BYE BYE BABY that just opened up in Durham (which also takes current Bed Bath coupons), so that they cannot monopolize baby gear. I will do everything in my power to never shop at Babies R Us again!!!

I bought 2 boxes of diapers during one of their promotions where you get a free gift card if you buy so many boxes of diapers... My daughter was only 3 weeks old so I wasnt sure which sizes to buy because I wanted to buy for the future. The gentleman that was grabbing diapers from the overstock (because the shelves were empty) to give to mobbing customers recommended that I should get 2 boxes of size 1 pampers and told me that if she didnt need the 1s to bring the un-opened box back to exchange for the bigger size. Long story short, I needed a box of size 2s and when I went back to exchange them they wouldnt do it for me and proceeded to charge me $14 and change (after I had already paid full price for them in the first place) I was fuming... But walked away as to not create a commotion... Their explanation, I had to have made this up because this is something they teach their employees on the first day of employment. If you buy something on promotion there and need to return it, expect to get the short stick. managers are NOT helpful.

The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. We purchased over $3K worth of products on the Registry at one store for pickup at this store. We spent a lot of time on the phone with the employees from this store who could not find the status of our order in the computer AFTER getting a call from the same store telling us that they hsd our order ready for delivery!! We went to the store hoping to get an explanation and the manager acted as if the mix - up was our fault! Three weeks later, part of our order arrived and was delivered 5 hours later than the promised delivery time and the furniture we purchased was scratched. Not to mention, the delivery crew spent 2+ hours setting up a crib. We are still waiting for them to find the remainder of our order. This is absolutely the last time we will purchase absolutely nothing from "Idiots r us".

I am eight months pregnant and have been here multiple times to shop. Rarely do I leave a happy customer and only return due to its close proximity and occasional sale. I have registered at two other stores and compared to the other places, have received the WORST customer service at this establishment. This is a disappointment because I live right down the street but would rather drive the extra miles to be treated with some respect. The employees are mostly rude at the checkout counter or when looking for an item and rarely does someone ask to help you when in the store. If I have a question about a price Im made to feel like a nuisance and not a paying customer. One employee in the middle of stocking items was particularly helpful but other than that I have been very dissatisfied.

This was our first experience with any baby store. From the time we walked in till the time we left, our visit was more than pleasant. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Jill the registry person was super informative and honest. We loved her and cant wait to make an appointment to go back. She said we could schedule a time to do all of our scanning and she would walk the store with us. That sounds great!! We have decided to cancel all our other registries and just go with Babies "R" Us because they have everything and they also have wonderful incentives, oh and of course the friendly staff.

We try to order the crib for our baby in the store in Durham. First, the staff was not helpful (they would not even get up from their desk to see what item I was pointing at!). So, of course, they ordered the wrong item, and refused to acknowledge their mistake. The manager had a horrible attitude, even when we were trying to be reasonable and polite. I do not have to say that we will never go back to that store!
