Ive been going both to this store and its competition up the street for nearly 25 years, and my opinion has gone back and forth which one is better. B&M certainly has grown a lot over the years and had a truly impressive selection. Like many used bookstores, interactions with staff can be problematic, and here as with Books End, staff issues keep it from getting 5 stars -- two of my three most recent visits to B&M have involved strange confusions with the clerk not being able to correctly use either the cash register. Im a pretty patient person, but 15+ minutes of confusion over the total price of a small stack of book is bizarre. Still, great books, and I always find something good (favorite sections are novels, poetry, and science fiction) when I am passing through (I live in nearby Ithaca).

Great store! Its surprising well organized. As a book store, they have a great selection of ever changing books, however many books (especially hardcovers?) are very very pricey, even for a used book. Basically if I am going to buy a book about art, (for example) I could get the exact book I want on amazon for a few dollars more, or a book similar to the exact one I want for a few dollars left here. As a record store, this is not a place to find a crazy bargain (for that, i recommend the flea market) but it is a place to get a quality record for a reasonable price. They have a nice selection of old records from popular artists that are easy to look through!

Today was my first time in the store. It was busy but what I thought was great was it had the busy energetic feeling of people finding treasures. Records, CDs and books. I was greeted with a friendly smile, though I didnt get his name, and was assisted in a reasonable amount of time. I sold some books and will certainly be back again to shop and sell! Highly recommend and have already been telling people what a pleasant surprise this gem of a store is!

A wonderful used book and record store. It has a great selection of LP records. Books are well organized, and range from almost new to old and unusual. Lots of surprises like a basket of magazines from the 1950s priced at 3.00 each. I used to live down the street from this store and miss being close to it. I try to go there whenever Im in Eastwood.

This is the best used bookstore within 100 miles-- its huge and sprawling and you can get lost in it for hours. Also has a massive record department if youre into listening to vinyl, and a huge selection of DVDs. The owner is a really great guy as well, very knowledgeable, eccentric in a good way, and groovy all around.

great selection of new and used books, TONS of vinyl, old games, comics; you name it, they have it (and for a great discount). friendly, helpful staff. theres even a little play area with building blocks for the younger kids.

A cool local shop that has far too many fun things to look at. With the rows upon rows of books, reasonably priced DVDs, and records its easy to lose a couple of hours here without knowing it.
