Cant overstate what a gem this shop is. The building itself is small and easy to miss, but is actually just a block up Broadway from the main drag. The shelves are overflowing with a mix of standard fare, as well as unusual treats that you could never expect to find in most other bookstores. Every single time Ive come here I have found a new book by my favorite authors that I never even knew existed. Most of the paperbacks are just a few dollars, its really easy to pop in for a browse and come out with 4-5 books. The storekeeper is a pleasant, soft-spoken gentleman who is happy to help customers. The resident cats meander the store to offer their company. If you have ever felt nostalgic for an independent book store experience that you thought had been replaced by those terrible chain stores, fear not. This is the place.

What a gem! This is the finest bookstore in quite a big area. An incredible hand-picked selection of used books in great condition at reasonable prices. I always find something here that I never knew about. The owner is extremely knowledgeable. A must-see for visitors of Jim Thorpe and definitely worth a special trip for book lovers.
