Ok had to edit my 4 star review this business is unbelievable I spent 80 bucks on a game that did not work I live an hour and a half away from this store! They did make it right by getting me another game but that was after a second trip and 70 dollars spent on a console that was not needed just because they got it to work 1 time on a seperate one. I gave the place a second chance and went with two buddies. One buddy bought a console from them, and asked them before we leave can you test it. the guy behind the counter refused stating he was too busy even though he hadnt even boxed the console and it was clearly not busy. We trucked an hour and a half back home to find out the controller was absolute garbage the only button that worked was start the analogs/d pad didnt even work. My other buddy had bought a basic GameCube game to just get all the way home and find out they had given him the wrong game. Now we have to travel again another hour and a half to this store for them to fix a problem that could have been clearly avoided combined in the last two weeks we have spent over $400 on old video games at this place. We will not be doing business here anymore.

Since I last went to this place 4, 5 years ago, it was not the best of the game stores. Staff was rude and quite a few of the things I bought didnt work right. (I was sold a broken PSP at one point). But, coming back to the Sound Go Round now, its much better than it used to be. Everyone is really friendly. Everything Ive bought works as intended. Basically, its a much better shop than it used to be. The reason for 4 stars, however, comes from the fact that they dont really test their games first, like a lot of game stores do, and in my opinion, should. This still adds to the risk of people buying a used game thats pretty damaged. When I sold them two games, they were taken in without hesitation on whether or not they worked; the only thing checked was whether the disc was in the case. On top of that, some of the music they choose to play in the store is anything but kid-friendly, though Ive only heard some of that music a few times out of the several times Ive been there since October alone. Overall, its an amazing store, and theyve improved over the years tenfold. Like video games, movies, action figures, music -- old and new? Id advise taking a visit.

Im a vinyl junkie, so I try to visit as many record shops I can whenever I am on the road, and I must say, Sound Go Round blew me away with their selection, pricing, and merchandise display. I found some obscure gems, and saw plenty of newer releases. With its top notch staff, I was able to ask questions, and get quick, polite responses (If you shop as much as I do, youll know how valuable that can be). Is the place perfect, no...but thats just because theyre not in Columbus, Ohio! Ill give the place 5-Stars, Two-Thumbs Up, a Chest-Bump, or whatever it takes to make sure more people know SGR is the real deal, and they should check it out, if they are so inclined.

I go here often to trade and buy new games. Today I went there and traded a game and got $8 for it and bought another game for $16 with tax the difference should come to $8.63 but was charged $9.73. This isnt the first time this happened. Last time I bought something for $11 and gave the guy $21 so I get a $10 back but he only gave me $9 and when I told him he gave wrong change he tried to tell me I gave him a $20. If you do decide to shop here pay close attention to the amount you are being charged they have a tendency to add few more dollars. Never going to this place ever again. I rather pay more somewhere else than be cheated

First time stopping in here - Ive been collecting vintage games for quite some time and decided to stop in. What an excellent selection! Tons of NES, SNES, Playstation One, Atari and Gamecube games. They have a great selection of music, books and DVDs as well. Everything is extremely neat and tidy, well maintained store. My only criticism is that the NES games I bought were in pretty rough shape and add to clean them out (a few times) to get them to play. Maybe take some extra time to clean these games out? Other than that, great store! If youre in the area definitely stop by.

Im amazed of all the nostalgic this store has to offer! So many comics to flip through. Bought my nephews T.M.N.T. comics for X-Mas and they were thrilled. Chit chatted with a guy on crutches who was more than happy to hobble over and help me find what I was looking for. The prices on video games are very fair and I enjoyed seeing all the old Nintendo games from the past. After watching YouTubes Angry Video Game Nerd reviews, I cant wait to play some Castleviania and Simons Quest! Looking forward to coming back! Evan Johnson

Love this place. Staff is usually super friendly and helpful. Great place to find little treasures you cant get easily. Love to get old games from my childhood here. They have a great new card section here, too! Great for collectors and they have regular events for it. You can sell things here, and I think they will search for a game for you if they dont have it in store. Great place to get old pokemon games, as they replace the batteries for saves. Never had any problems with games not working, either. Would absolutely recommend!

Years ago in a messed up community !!! When SG was on north st. I was doing alittle business with jay the owner of selling him rock t shirts to him for more than I paid. Some how he broke the deal off and never gave me the exact amount I wanted. So I went to confront him and he was yelling swear words out me telling me to get out of my store. Sadly this guy is a tottal L for loser. Other people have told me the same thing in the mall too stay away from this business it will hurt you in the long run

I loved their selection--especially DVDs. The "shopkeep" definitely knows music, too. I could tell both by talking to him and by browsing an eclectic selection of music. My metal, female folk and alt-country personas were all very pleased. Im not a gamer, but Id bet you wouldnt be disappointed in that department either. Oh, most importantly, he was the first guy to give me a good price for what I sold, and he was actually pleasant throughout the process.

Love the great selection of retro video games, dvds and blu rays. Good selection of vinyl albums. Also features a seemingly always expanding comic book section. Customer service can range from amazing to poor though. Most are friendly and knowlegable, some seem to not really care / indifferent and on occasion a small few are outright rude. In my experience the rude service seems to take place in the late evening while all other hours have great service.
