Just a fair warning to customers: Dont ask if he will negotiate his prices...he gets offended easily. Also, if a book isnt marked with a price, dont ask him what the price is. If he hasnt marked it, then it means its "not ready for sale". He is a miserable old cook....but has a great selection of old books...and his prices are reasonable....but dont expect to get a smile out of him!

This is a great little used book shop. There are books in every corner, which is a guarantee that youll find something you like. Its perfect if you like a bit of a treasure hunt and can spend an hour or so browsing. The shelves are organized by genre, which is helpful. Books are reasonably priced - most titles I opened were between $3-$10.

The Somers bookstore is a truly interesting place. There are thousands of used books of every genre, but you must allow time to look as they are not always easily found. There is a great variety of biographies, and we have had good luck with Revolutionary War books. There are new books all the time, do have fun browsing!
