Just happened in there this morning with my great grandson Liam who is two and a half and was welcomed by a woman reading a book to a group of children of similar ages. Liam has never been introduced to this kind of event and he was so eager to join right in, we sat for the whole presentation. The woman who was the reader was wonderful and very gracious to the children. Liam had such a great experience that I will plan once a month to take him there to your book reading group. What a wonderful experience for me to have shared that with him. Thank you for this and I look forward to my next visit. He listened, sang, danced and was the last one to leave the dance floor and he enjoyed those cookies. A great event! I took many photos that I will cherish!

I purchased a book online which came wreaked in the mail (not by mail it had red marker all over it and had obviously been read as it had damage to the binding) and was not new. I went into the store with my order forms and the book that had a Barnes and Noble label on it to get a book that was not wreaked. The manger then told me that they were positive that I had not bought it from Barnes and Noble but a site that Barnes and Noble transferred me to and were unwilling to give me a new book. From now on I will either buy my books from Amazon or other bookstores in the area such as the one in Stuyvesant Plaza as both seem to have better customer service.

I love books, and I love to read. I do most of my shopping on Amazon, as I have a Kindle and find the ease and convenience of immediate delivery of texts unbeatable, as are Amazons prices more often than not. However, I recently received a Barnes and Noble gift card, which I wanted to use. What I learned in the process is that I take serious issue with Barnes and Nobles pricing policies. Their brick and mortar stores will NOT match their own online prices, which are CONSIDERABLY lower. Why would anyone purchase in store and pay almost twice as much when he/she could shop online from home and have his/her money go so much further?

Its a little small and the rows are tiny, but come here when the mall isnt too busy and its a welcome reminder of how awesome buying books was before Amazon. Theres something special about holding the physical manifestation of an authors vision. At the end of the day, though, this is another big box store, so while the service is friendly and the shelves are stocked this wont change your life the way a locally-owned used book store will.

Staff is always eager to help with any situations. I have no problem when using coupons or the like. Selection is good and the place is always clean and orderly. I Make an effort to support local Bookstores big and small because if we dont they will not be around. Half the book purchasing experience is be able to browse the selection and pick up and read what you want. You cant do that online.

I BOUGHT A MEMBERSHIP CARD AT THE STORE AND THIS COMPANY AUTOMATICALLY CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD A MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL. THIS IS JUST WRONG. I WAS NOT TOLD AT THE STORE THAT SUCH A RIP-OFF WOULD OCCUR! IM BOYCOTTING THE STORE!! I HAD TO CALL AND GET A REFUND AND THE STORE ONLY GIVES YOU 30 DAYS TO GET A REFUND.

I do love this store, they sell not only books, but also funko pops, games, toys, and other accessories. My only complaint is that it can be pricey. But they do have good sales and if your a B&N Member, you get great coupon in the mail once a month. I love theyre Harry potter section and their manga section.

I absolutely love this bookstore. The employees are always incredibly helpful, there are plenty of couches and comfortable seating as well as a decently sized cafe area. This is where I come nearly every day I am not working, and I should probably start purchasing more things. I spend way too much time here.

As bookstores go, this is our default go to store. The childrens section is always well stocked and the variety is good. I have found that the knowledge of the store employees has gone down - so I have had less luck getting good recommendations from employees than I did a few months ago.

I love books, and this spot always has what I am looking for, and when they havent had what I am looking for they eagerly find out if it can be ordered and help place that transaction! Great place to stroll through and browse and enjoy a rainy afternoon!

Very rude and imposing sales people who constantly push memberships and discounts on you while trying to shop. Basically was treated as a criminal - "can I hold that for you" - every moment as they watch over your shoulder. Wont return.

There is no other book store like B&N. Fab selection of books n materials n gifts to choose from; kids section; excellent customer service; coffee shop. Its just the best book buying experience. Enjoy going there!!

Awesome book store, staff is very friendly and helpful. The books are always organized and the store is always clean. They have a Starbucks in there for some dessert and coffee while you read.
