Wow. This place hits the spot on every level. I had the eggs with the spicy tomato sauce and feta and grilled eggplant. They said it was like a medeterrian version of eggplant parm. It was incredible- served all hot and crusty in a little cast iron pan. Some of the best tomato sauce I ever had. And the pita is to die for! It tastes like the inside of a doughnut, even though its definitely a pita. Its just so well made, and so fresh. Also the salad with the nut and seed mixture was Fantastic. This place is a knock out. And nyack is an adorable town. We will definitely be back!! And its funny there are so many great options I didnt even realize it was vegetarian!

Casual spot I found perfect for an after work (and pre Nyack Library/Carnegie room concert) glass of wine at the quaint bar with tasty, well prepared sides such as olive spread bathed in olive oil, creamy hummus, both worked harmoniously spread atop a portion for one of soft, fresh pita. The menu leans Mediterranean with healthful selections. Upon entering, the friendly host welcomed and directed me to the attentive bartender who happily poured tastings of some of their reds before my Malbec selection. The inviting and relaxing soundtrack of melodic jazz makes you want to linger. I couldve been somewhere in Europe.

We went for breakfast on a lovely Saturday morning. The patio was open, and we were able to sit outside which was nice. The regular coffee was good, but I was disappointed with the ricotta pancakes. They looked delicious, but they were hard as rocks. My husband had a goat cheese and egg pita, which was much better. Our server was very helpful and apologized and offered something else, which was appreciated. Id try it again because of the service and the atmosphere; hopefully I just ordered the wrong thing.

Today was the first time that we had the pleasure of the excellent food at the Art Cafe. The ricotta pancakes were delicious as was all of the mediterranean/Israeli dishes ordered by the rest of our party. Service was crisp. Good thing that we arrived by 11 a.m. while it was still easy to get a table. They do not take reservations. It got very crowded when we were ready to leave. We will definitely be returning to this charming place with wonderful food.

The atmosphere is unique and cozy, the staff is always friendly, and the food is GREAT. My favorites are the ricotta pancakes and the hummus especial. My bf loves the hummus too, along with the cheese mallawah and the cappuccinos. We are not vegetarians but we are always satisfied here and will go back again. They have a really nice fruit and cheese dish if youre ever in the mood for something light. I highly recommend this place.

seriously, art cafe is life My wife and I are vegan, so we thoroughly enjoy the Kahlo and Hopper bowls. Also, GET THE STUFFED GRAPE LEAVES, ask for the 12, 6 just wont be enough (I mean it will but theyre just so good). The ambiance is amazing set in an older Victorian style home, and dining in the front yard when its warm is so pleasant. This place gets packed out on saturdays so go early. Art Cafe, you are my Spirit animal.

Art Cafe is one of my favorite places in Nyack. The food is always exceptional, the service is good, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The food itself is a Mediterranean and Middle Eastern mix with plenty of interesting food combinations for the adventurous and, being a cafe, you can always find the tea-and-muffin kind of light breakfast food. You can also walk in and purchase from their bakery counter.

This quaint little coffee shop is a haven for quality beans. I come here very often for delicious pourover coffee that you generally have a hard time finding. The menu is filled with wonderful Israeli treats. Pastries are most l moist and I recently realized they also have truffles! Friendly staff and good service. A must for anyone who enjoys great coffee and good food. Dog friendly outside.

Stopped in today (Oct 3rd) for a bite to eat and a coffee. The atmosphere here is pretty charming, having a pretty cozy feeling to it. Despite this place being a bit pricey, it definitely hit the spot. I had the zucchini soup and a goat cheese malawach, with a latte to drink. Everything was delicious and hearty. This joint will absolutely get my business when I visit Nyack again!

Yummy Israeli food. The restaurant is a converted Victorian house. Gets very crowded - had a 20-25 minute wait on a Monday for a party of 5. Loved the coffee and food variety. The men in our group were disappointed at the lack of meat on the menu but were won over once they received their food. The Ricotta pancakes and Shakshooka were top notch as was the strawberry smoothie.

Amazing. What a wonderful cafe. The shakshuka is a wonderful dish. Cozy feel and warm character is the Hallmark here. The staff is friendly and helpful. Everytthing served is organic and heartfelt. Do not miss this cafe. Super fresh coffee and attention to detail. Just visited again. 11/25/2016. Staff is warm and friendly and the coffee was delicious.

I really love this place. Ive never had a bad meal here, the coffee is also really good. Wish it was bigger so I wouldnt knock into other tables and people while trying to sit down or leave. Dont expect s lot of privacy when you go here, you can hear everyones conversations if you try hard enough. But its totally worth it if you get the rice bowls.

Really cute place, excellent food... the waitress we had was quite incompetent ... forgot to order half our food, took 30 min to get our drinks, took almost an hour to take our order. She was a nightmare.... but despite her incompetence this place is worth it. Food is great, atmosphere is great! Adorable place in an adorable city.

i ordered a toastini, it was suppose to come as a sandwich--sesame bread, goat cheese, onions, and sundried tomatoes and a side salad. what i got was a sesame bagel with cream cheese and rotten tomatoes with old lettuce for 11 dollars. would never recommend this place if you want quality food. cheap establishment, wont go back!

The Art Cafe in Nyack is a wonderful lunch spot with an eclectic menu serving different Mediterranean inspired dishes as well as American favorites. Their lack of meat options however may be a problem for some. The outside eating area is my favorite. Overall a great spot for a lunch date with friends. Oh and dog friendly!!

This cute cafe sits in the heart of the bustling downtown of Nyack. You can always tell a good spot to eat when you have to wait 20 minutes for a table for lunch. I found the staff to be attentive and courteous and the service was great, including meeting my request to move to a different table mid meal due to the heat.

Cozy house-made -cafe with excellent coffee and great food menu. I was able to indulge with a gluten free bagel, something I havent found in a restaurant for a while! They made an excellent coconut milk latte and the season french press was bloomed correctly and was deliciously smooth. Definitely worth a visit.

The ambiance, service, location, speed, options, and food quality and presentation are all strong points that Art Café hits with ease. Ive never had a negative experience here, only good things and incredible food. Would recommend to anyone willing to try a filling, delicious vegetarian Mediterranean meal.
