Ive been waiting for years for my favorite Philadelphia coffeehouse to move up to New York. I knew it was inevitable... with the success other Philadelphia eateries have had in New York (Morimoto, Buddakan), La Colombes time would come. And finally it has! While smaller than their Rittenhouse Square location, the Church Street cafe has the same placid atmosphere and excellent coffee that brought me (and many others) to that location time and time again. Two beautiful Faema E-61s are the centerpiece of the coffee bar. The baristas are excellent and have great attitudes. Though all of their drinks are excellent (and made in the Italian tradition despite the French name), Id recommend a double machiatto. Now I wont need to make as many trips to Philadelphia!

Maybe not the greatest place for doing work but always dependable for a great cup of coffee. This is a pretty small location (but equally pretty) compared to its NoHo spot. I did appreciate that I was able to get a table on a Sunday afternoon. *praise hands emoji* Pros: I love La Colombe coffee. Its one of my favorites, and Im a bit of a coffee addict. My iced mocha was expectedly good. My coconut muffin was fine, a little bland in my opinion. Cons: small tables, only one outlet, no bathroom, no wifi (unless you have TWC and then you can log in to their hotspot), and perplexingly very cold. And I mean shivering cold after a few hours of working on my laptop there. Brrr.

Hands down: Best ice redeye in New York City. If you like ice redeye, just go here and you will discover why. Wish they would open more stores in this city. Been going here for 8 years, and it has gotten to the point that whenever I see a new specialty coffee house or cafe, I do not even bother to try them out, or try them knowing they will not be as good as La Colombe. No place in this city can match La Colombes ice redeye.

Coffee Artistry and the reason middle America laughs at NYers. We stand in a long line single file as we await our coffe almost ceremoniously. The arches of the room add to the ambiance. I only wish there were more seating and low-fat milk placed out so that I wouldnt have to ask the baristas which again only adds to this lengthy in/out time for a cup of joe.

super crowded especially during peak hours. however, the mochachino is worth the wait. its the best in the city. their cold brew coffee is a powerhouse. the elegant Deruta Raffaellesco coffee cups reaffirm the level of the excellence that la colombe has stood by for years. ive been a fan since the first la colombe location off rittenhouse square in philly.

Cozy location- I like how efficient the baristas are and regardless of the crowd, you can always find a seat (just dont come in groups larger than 2.) I did not know this till recently but their americano actually comes with 4 shots of espresso.. which is DELICIOUS but they will absolutely make one for you with less shots if you specify :)

This Philadelphia native coffee chain consistently produces some of the best coffee on the east coast! I fell in love with their draft latte and pure black cold brew, and I frequently find myself getting what Ive dubbed a "Black, Tan, and Red" - a black & tan with a shot of espresso, perfect for waking up in the morning.

Some of the best coffee in Manhattan. Strong, tasty, fresh and the staff are fun and knowledgeable. Little on the pricey side for latte-esque drinks, and dont order the iced coffee if youre the faint of heart (although I love them). All in all, one of the better coffee bars in the city.

I have consistently met with friends at this coffee spot. The employees are friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere is laid back and I have never been disappointed with the beverages or the service. $2 for a regular coffee in a mug plus 50 cent refills are perfect.

Espresso made the same way its been made since World War II, except for the foam art. There tends to be a line because its sightly overrated (New York has lots of other great choices) but you wont be disappointed when you put that cup to your mouth.

Ein toller Ort und gemütlicher Ort. Der Espresso ist zwar gut, aber nicht uberragend - daher "nur" 4*

Quick service & good coffee. From the renowned coffee roasters, this place has a clean atmosphere but is more for the person on the go to grab a great cup of coffee as they head out to work or wander the neighborhoods art galleries.

Coffeee here is creamy, strong, delicious and probably nutritious. This is the best coffee in the city in my opinion. A cup can be a little too small for what they charge, but you definitely get what you pay for- in a good way.

Coffee was excellent, so good in fact, I will happily commute 20 mins for it. Coming from Australia we found it near impossible to get a normal non - sweet coffee. No savoury food was the only let down with this place.

Nice coffee shop in the heart of SoHo. Ordered the iced latte and it did not disappoint! Good quality espresso. Line was out the door however it moved quickly and efficiently. Will be back to try the pastries!

Best coffee Ive ever had. Its on the high side in terms of price. The quality is off the charts. The service is good. Seating space is rather scarce, considering that it is a very busy coffee shop.

One of the best almond milk lattes I ever had. It had foam and when I put the sugar in it the foam didnt sink right away. Service was fast and pleasant. I can see why there was a line! Great job!

Their coffee is marvelous, and the coffee shop is large and inviting. My one critique is that theres no WiFi here, so while its a great place for meeting, its not an ideal space to do work.

Tidy little neighborhood coffee place. Good flavors. Small selection of pastries and limited seating. Nice ambience and very convenient to the Broadway / Avenue of the Americas in TriBeCa

Grabbed a triple expresso or something to that effect for a co-worker and myself. I was extremely chipper for the rest of the day. And like the next three days. Great coffee, nice staff.

To me is the best coffee store in the city. The taste is unique and thick, which I loved. Atmosphere is very formal/casual and inviting. Will always go back when in town.

Not sure what the best coffee in NYC is, but its between this place and Stumptown. This place is just terrific. The coffee has so much flavor, and the staff is great.

Great! Coffee is just as good if not better than in philadelphia (the original). Service is amazing. They noticed my cappuccino was cold and made me a new one pro bono
