Starting coming here last year or so, for betta fish after a nightmare in petsmart, was very happy with how well kept these betta fish were kept. While looking at Bettas a wonderful man named Matt asked me how I was and if I wanted to take a look at the new bettas he had just gotten. He started talking to me about about fish and care and etc. Was very knowalable and made me very happy bc I was getting ready to get fish in my New 46 gallon freshwater aquarium. And was debating on going to a fish store that wasnt a Chian. I decided I wanted to go here bc he and the whole staff was amazing and New what they were doing. They didnt just work there to get paid they were happy and friendly. Anyways, back to Matt he told me about all the discounts and told me what fish would be good together, recommended products for us and really helped us out like he ran the business. Anyways after coming back to replace an old fish we found out that new people worked there and he had moved on looked like New mangament and the fish looked terriable the fish I wanted which is common wasnt there. I went back a few weeks later and still nothing its not that the fish were in bad condition or anything it just wasnt a good selection of fish and no one was there to really greet u. I feel like I have to go to a different store now , I guessed I learned my lesson and not to rely on a chain store bc you dont know how quickly it can change. Miss the Knowledge and care the Matt provided.

Great stuff, great service. Everyone is always very nice to my new Goldendoodle puppy. They helped me from the 1st day I brought my puppy home. Kerry is great, super-enthusiastic, and always willing to help. The other professionals like Lauren and Tara are also spot on the ball. The Puppy Play Time feature is outstanding -- I hope they extend it to puppies up to 1 year of age (they phase the puppies out at about 6 months now). I highly recommend Petco @ Nanuet. NOTE: Some people with REALLY BIG DOGS have complained that stores like Petco cant properly do their dogs. Sometimes these dogs are simply too big (125-150 pounds) and a bit aggressive for smaller women/girls. My uncles 125 pound German Shepard needed to be cleaned by a big strong adult man. Cant blame smaller women for that. A 15-20 pound dog is simply easier for most people (but especially female groomers) than a dog weighing 5-6 times as much. Especially if the dog isnt that docile.

Had our dog groomed there when we first got her had a great experience. Went back for second time and was absolutely terrible. They charged extra because she said it went into her next appointment even though they said it would be around 4 hours, she was finished in under two hours. However when we went to pick her up she said or dog was aggressive and not welcome back. This is the same girl who groomed her last time and said she was fine. Now I am bringing my dog to real professionals to actually finish her haircut and nail clipping. If you care at all about your pet do not go here for grooming. I should have listened to people I know that said not to use them. If you go to petco and Nanuet prepare to be extremely disappointed. The girl Ashley was unprofessional and rude.

I went to ask about getting a parakeet and they were really helpful. Two people helped me and gave me all of the information that I needed. They worked with me for 20 minutes and were very informative. I didnt give five stars because I feel that petco is over-priced in general but the people there were great!

When you go into this store not one person will ever ask you if you need help, no one is ever at the register ready to ring you up, and there are always dog messes on the floor. Everything in the store is at least 3 dollars more than it is at petsmart

Best visit ever somebody helped right away tell them what I need it I need it harnesses for my dogs and they came over they measure them they help me get them all on them thank you so much

Excellent ! I feel so safe bringing my dog there to be groomed. Alexa Marinelli is wonderful she exhibits patience, and her love for dogs shows in her grooming . Highly recommend.

Petco In Nanuet Is Great. Lauren the dog trainer really knows her stuff. Matt has helped me lots with fish and aquatic questions. Very friendly.

Only a couple of competent people on staff. Parking is very inconvenient. Only two or three shopping carts for the whole store.
