I have been here dozens of times, and have always been satisfied. The employees behind the counter are always a huge help when it comes to repairs, honest opinions about games, and the physical quality of the game that youre getting. Theyre all quite knowledgeable about games and hardware, so just about any question you need answered, theyll likely have. The prices of many of their products are quite fair, and theyre willing to knock off a couple of dollars in case the quality of whatever product youre getting is less than ideal. The range of games they have at their immediate disposal is wide and varied, so youll probably find what youre looking for. If they dont, theyll check with the other Voltage store to see if they can help. 5/5: a high recommendation!

I used to come to the building when I was younger for tutoring and such, but since then I was excited to hear that it was becoming a video game store. The building itself had a very special place in my heart but now my love for video games has made it grow. The staff are nice, helpful and friendly. Theyre attentive when you need it and answer any questions you have. Their video game selection is big and varying and if they dont have it, ordering is quick and easy too. Voltage has classics all the way to the new generations of gaming and youll most definitely find things here you wouldnt find in a gamestop or other generic video game store. I recommend this place to old and younger demographics.

Great service. I was looking for Super Mario World (The first game with Yoshi) to see if it was remade for DS. The people there went out of there way to not only help me search the shelves but actually search for it online, where they soon found that although it is only made for Gameboy and Super Nintendo, I could get it for my Wii U on the Nintendo Online Shop, and I did. I have already purchased a 3DS here and some movies (1 for $3 and 3 for $8). I plan to come back for more because this store is great! They really care for retro games more than places like Game Stop, who just focus on the newest things in gaming.

Without a doubt the best place in the Syracuse area to get your vintage & retro gaming. They have the best selection, they test everything so you arent buying faulty items and they even sell the new stuff too (PS4, X1) if you really want that too. They even have homebrew carts if you want to try out new games for the NES or SNES.

I cant say enough good things about Voltage. The guys there are VERY collector friendly, incredibly knowledgeable and very very reasonable both with trade credit and their prices. I cant think of a time where I was treated as well or better at another store. Im a customer for life. Thanks guys

For the sixth time I drove out from the city to find the place closed during business hours and a Post It on the door telling me they werent going to be open (either lunches or employee emergencies or other.) Staff is good when they decide to allow customers in. Just not sure when that is.

Both this store and the Syracuse store are great. Both have friendly staff and a phone number to call if you want to inquire about a game/system/whatever. However, this store usually has less staff members than the Syracuse store, but I’ve never had an inconvenient wait.

I bought a couple games and sold some and it has good plus I got a super retro trio for only 70 dollars and its served me well, they have reasonable prices and make good deals so of course Im going to rate my favorite video game store
