Jim is a total joker. He came to my house to repair my refrigerator. He solved the symptom but not the problem. He removed the ice and it fixed it temporarily. When the problem came back I did the research to figure out what was need to fix it. It turns out that Samsung created a part that had to be added to the the refrigerator. I told him about it and he promised to come and install it. That was November and now it is April. Ive reminded him several times and he told me he was coming twice and the last time he just didnt show up and didnt even have the courtesy to call me. He obviously has no regard for his reputation or belief in standing behind his work. I like giving people the benefit of the doubt but Ive gone above and beyond giving him chances to redeem himself.

Unreliable and Unprofessional. Last month, I called Jim on a Tuesday when my washing machine broke. He happily came to my home for an $80 service fee and told me that the machine was broken. He promised to email me a list of replacement models later that day. Jim told me to choose a washing machine when I received this list and that he would deliver it and install on Thursday. By Wednesday, with still no response, I emailed Jim AND called and left a detailed voice message. That was 4 weeks ago. No one has ever called back. I had no choice but to call another appliance store who delivered a new Maytag within 24 hours. If I could give Mamaroneck Appliance 0 stars, I would have.

I recently had an issue with my refrigerator leaking water. When I called Mamaroneck Appliance & Services, Jim came out later that same day to diagnose the issue. It was a simple fix, but I needed to shut the fridge down for several hours to defrost the frozen drain that was causing the issue. We scheduled the repair for 2 days later. I appreciated his text letting me know he was running a bit behind schedule the day he was due. He was professional and I really appreciated him being able to fix my issue quickly after calling him, since I was going to be out of town for several days. Highly recommend.

Shocking customer service - first asked Jim round in January to fix my dishwasher. He didnt turn up. When he did turn up, he then couldnt fix the problem. He then turned up again after two no shows (with no notice) with the wrong part... and four months on, Im still waiting, despite repeated missed appointments and now he wont even respond to calls. Awful, just awful. Ive wasted so much time. He DID fix my tumble drier, but that took three attempts. If you do use him, dont pay him till hes done the work. Maybe hell turn up then?

What a farce and a dishonest man. Ordered a washe/ dryer from him when mine broke. He lied about delivery date, never returned phone calls or emails, lied to me in emails about calling me and when the items would be delivered. I am now at home being stood up with a pile of dirty laundry for my family and having to call a big box and wait another couple of days. Do not use this man or his company. Oh, and when i drove by his store, it did not exist, it was a po box. The owner, Jim Arcadipane, is not a man of his word.

After having a Maytag washer and dryer for 15 years i was not used to many repairs. However when the bearings went on the dryer then the motor in the same week I realized it would be cheaper in the long run to buy a new dryer then get the old one repaired. Jim, at Mamk appliance was very professional in his knowledge of my dryer problems as well as his recommendation of a new brand of dryer to buy. I would certainly call him first with any appliance problems I might have.

The staff was very helpful with our last minute needs. Jim helped us understand the issues with our washer and the options available to us. He got back to us right away and made himself available any time we had questions. Not only was the customer service FANTASTIC the expertise was spot on. Thankfully we havent had any further issues since they help fix our washer. We highly recommend Jim and Mamaroneck Appliance & Services!!

I should have read the other reviews before I ordered a washing machine from him. He advised the wrong machine and when I asked for it to be replaced (originally with restocking fees) he promised to take care of it and then disappeared. This has been going on for over a month. Dishonest and no integrity which is too bad since he originally was super reponsive and friendly. I guess that is only when there is money to be made.

I have had only positive experiences with Jim. I have used his services twice for both my LG dryer and KitchenAid dishwasher. Neither problem seemed particularly straightforward, and on both occasions, Jim diagnosed the problem efficiently and then returned in a very reasonable time frame (in both instances, parts were needed) to complete the job. Ive also found Jim to be very personable and easy to deal with.

Prompt, easy to schedule appointment. Unlike other companies who could not give a definite appointment time, Mamaroneck Apppliance did so which is essential to a working homeowner. The repair was costly, but it may have been the cost of the part, I have no idea what another company would charge.I would use them again and refer them to friends.

Jim was the best on our first appointment. He was responsive, diagnosed the problem, took a part to be repaired and then .................... never came back. He stood me up three times while I waited at home for him to show, he stopped returning phone calls and he did not return the part to me. I am now forced to go buy a new oven.

We have had them in several times to fix our washing machine. Each time he was professional, identified the problem and fixed it. He even came right away when needed. We also recently had issues with our stove. He came and immediately identified what the problem was and the easy fix needed. He fixed that too.

Jim was great. He diagnosed the problem with my refrigerator in no time. Made a temporary fix. He even called that night to make sure the temporary fix was working. When the part for my refrigerator arrived, he installed it immediately. I would/will definitely call again if any other appliances need repair.

Had trouble with my Samsung washing machine...these things are complicated...nothing simple any more like just an on and off switch......all kinds of gizmos...called Jimmie...he came right away, diagnosed the problem and fixed the washer...now we are back in clean cloths...thanks Jimmie...your the best !!!

Jim and Mamaroneck Appliance are the best! Like having your own personal repairman! Totally trustworthy and willing to come whenever needed! We have been using them for years...in two houses..and wouldnt go anywhere else.
