At some of the registers in front of the store, lines are getting long, esp. from the front towards the register to the back, where the racks are where they keep the magazines, candy, or newspapers at. Sometimes there are 4 or 5, or even 6 or 7 people in line ahead of me that they have carts full to the top that takes about 25 or 30 minutes for me to go to that register. There are not enough cashiers. There are about 30 registers in front of Walmart, but there are only 5 or 6 registers, or only one open, to me that is shocking. Wal-Mart should hire more cashiers so that the lines could move much faster, or more quicker. McDonalds at Wal-Mart in Glenville closed down in June 2016, and Subway takes over that spot. At some or most Walmarts, there are Subway Restaurants at its stores in Latham, Albany, Cobleskill, Saratoga Springs, East Greenbush, and in Amsterdam. Walmart in Glenville will be the next one to have a Subway restaurant just like those Walmart locations that I mentioned above, which takes over where McDonalds used to be. It will be good for people who shop at Walmart who want to lose weight, but McDonalds sells the food that make people gain weight. People who dont like McDonalds will be glad to see it gone, so people who are on the diet who are losing weight that shop at Wal-Mart will be glad to see Subway there. On November 17, 2016, Subway finally opened at Glenville Walmart, five months after McDonalds closed. McDonalds was at Glenville Walmart since it opened on April 17, 2002 (14 years ago, see photo of Glenville Walmart during the day of its grand opening below). Next year (in 2017), Wal-Mart will mark its 15th anniversary at its current Glenville location. In this maps app, I took some photos of McDonalds at Wal-Mart, to download for Glenville Walmart, just about four weeks before it is going to be closed forever, because these photos will act as farewell photos of McDonalds at Walmart (see photos taken by Walter Clark). At each entrance at Walmart in Glenville, they have security alarms that make a sound to prevent shoplifters from leaving the store without paying, when it goes off, it makes a sound very similar to a three-note theme from the NBC TV network (or the old familiar sound of its chime)

In a moment of desperation from a road trip gone sideways, I looked up locations with Auto departments and tires. This Walmart is 24/7 but unfortunately the Auto department has limited hours similar to the pharmacy. I called up this location ahead of time in a panic asking if they carried tires that I could just purchase and install myself. The woman on the line was helpful and understanding and let me know a manager would be able to help me out upon arrival. Despite the initial confusion/miscommunication internally at the Customer Service Desk someone surely did help me as promised. We rushed back to the Auto department and I gave my tire specs to one of the associates who went back to check. Unfortunately for me my sub-compact cat has somewhat uncommon tires so they did not have that in stock. However I really do appreciate the great service and empathy. My SO and I ended up just purchasing a tire gauge then grabbing a bite to eat at the Subway inside. Another moment of stupidly on our part we forgot our backpack on one of the seats then rushed in an hour or two later. Thankfully they just put it in the lost and found in. We confirmed nothing was missing! I wish there was 24/7 super center closer to me, especially with such helpful staff. This place will have a special place in my mind. Thanks for your help!

Store Pickup and return policy is very slow...every time for pickup I have to wait at least half hour to collect product. Store coordinator will keep on moving around that counter but will not do anything for customer assistance. Also yesterday I picked an item from their clearance section but at payment counter they took my half hour just to check the price and later on they said we can give u 10%discount on original price( At clearance section that product was half the price) because we do not have its record maintained.

Horrible, I went to customer service ask if they carried an item and the woman behind the counter responded by saying "I have no idea" , I then said well can you check with someone ? Oh no! she actually had to do some work. Then waited 10 minutes in line while the cashier kept chatting with the customer in front of me. Then she put my 4 pack of muffins and 2 venting size bags of chips in 2 separate bags but only handed me one, didnt realize until I got to my car. not good !

I have no problems with this Wal-Mart been my local place to Shop ever since I lived Upstate. but there is one Issue that I hadnt had Good Experience with, plus the staffs at Electronics are Extremely low. they litterely have nobody some who I talk to are mostly very Rude or too busy to help me. Overall the store has Potential! one Problematic Situation would be that they dont have enough Workers. especially that they will be getting more Business I think that would be a Plus.

Just like going to any other Walmart I think this Walmart is nice and clean. It is also a supercenter that offers all the same groceries you would get from any supermarket chain all in one place and the prices are cheaper. It also has a McDonalds inside including nail salon, optometrist, and a bank. Has lots of Cash Registers and self checkout lanes so you dont have to wait forever to leave the store. This is one of the best Walmarts Ive been too.

When I called Wal-Mart, a woman who spoke broken English was answering phones at the customer service desk. I asked her if they carry potassium bicarbonate. She literally asked me 11TIMES what I was saying!!! I asked her to put me through to the Pharmacy and if it wasnt for that helpful girl.....I wouldnt have given any stars to Wal-Mart what so ever. People who cant speak and/or understand English well, have no business answering the phones!!

This a Supermarket Wal-Mart that is in a convenient location for anyone that is in the Scotia, Glenville, Burnt Hills, Alplause area. The supermarket is well stocked and the whole store has good prices. The store seems understaffed a lot of the time, from the registers to the service desk. The self check out seems to always have self checkout machines that are down as well.

Your typical Walmart. The bathrooms in the back are always dirty and recently they have removed the doors. Something Walmart should look in to. Also at peak times they usually have 5 out other 35 checkout lanes open, always a nightmare. Customer service has 6 registers and only one was open at 5PM.

I called this morning at 9.55 am to find out about a Christmas tree,and i was put on hold for 20 minutes then after that some other assoate pick up the phone an she help me after that I didnt finesh talk to her an she hing up the phone on me.NOt GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Lines are always long and take forever to be checked out. This place was great when it first opened now its like all other walmarts. It can be a bit scary with the clientele. Returns there are horrible and take at least 20 minutes if anyone is in front of you.
