My husband and I recently checked out Sun auto in Cortland to find our first car purchased together. We were greeted by a friendly sales man and were left to browse the cars on our own. When we ventured inside to talk to a sales rep about some vehicles we were interested in, we were ushered into an office and as one thing led to another, went for a test drive. After getting back, we stated that the car was not what we wanted and we would like to try another of the same model. The sales rep kept arguing that there wouldnt be any differences in the two vehicles. We then asked for a different sales rep. We were then greeted by another sales man who was very friendly. Made us feel welcome so no complaints there. After driving another vehicle of the same model and year (was like night and day to the previous model) we told him we had some decision making to do. He kept saying that the model wouldnt last long because of the October sale they were having. He then informed us that if we left a $100 deposit then they would take the car off the website and we could have some time to think it over. All said and done, he had us sign a few papers, which we thought (and he never explained) were our credit checks. After we told him that we could no longer stay (we had been there 4 hours) he told us we had nothing to fear and to think it over. We shopped around the next day and found a much better deal elsewhere and when we talked to our sales rep, he informed us that he could no longer send back our deposit check and that we had signed a "buyers agreement". We were never told that we were signing a binding contract, we were also not told that if we signed said paper, that we were roped into that car and if we backed out, we would loose the deposit. For first time buyers, it was a very clever scheme on their part since we told them we were NOT SURE about the car and we needed to think on it overnight. The rep kept messaging me over Facebook saying I needed to finalize insurance (even though we had not said we wanted the car yet). Long story short, be careful when buying from them and for first time buyers, be ever vigilant cause they see you coming! Read everything!

I had poured far too much money into my old car, and I was looking at even more expenditures for repairs, when my friend suggested I go to Sun Auto Warehouse. I cited my concerns about my credit score and recent re-finance of my car; however, my friend was certain that Sun would find me something. When I was finally convinced to go to Sun, I met Regina DiOrio, the salesperson who would assist me in my search. She listened to my concerns and had me test drive a couple of later model vehicles that I thought were in my price range. When the first one that I chose didnt work out due to the banks decision on financing, I started looking at the older cars that were less expensive. Regina went to bat for me; however, the bank shot down financing for the older models. The banks processes started to dishearten me and it felt like I would never be able to get approved for a good car. Regina continued to work for me. She went ahead and chose a different car for me and assisted the process, working a deal to get me bank approval for financing with payments that I could afford for a much better vehicle. To my surprise, instead of driving home in a 2012 Impala, I drove home in an immaculate 2016 Chevy Impala with only 13,000 miles on the odometer! Though the process began to feel very stressful to me, Regina did a great job, staying calm even when I expressed misgivings about payments, etc. I can be a very difficult customer, but Regina was not swayed, and continued to do her best to provide me with an awesome car and payments that I can realistically fit within my budget. I love my new car! Thanks, Regina!

Tom was absolutely the most professional and lighthearted sales person AND individual to work with! He and the team at Sun Auto made a very trying experience for me so much easier and allowed me to feel confident and certain of the decisions I was making on my next vehicle purchase. They took extra time out of their schedules to accommodate my crazy schedule as a nurse; which for anyone is SO APPRECIATED!! Not once did I feel pressured or rushed to make a decision.... Not once did I feel uncertain of the process...Not once did I feel under valued as a customer. As a long time buyer of vehicles from another dealership... Which my family has also purchased multiple personal and occupational vehicles from.... Switching to a different dealership was at first uncomfortable for me.... (Because all sales personnel are out to get a sale... Right?!?.... No matter what?!?) Not at Sun Auto!!! They listen to you and your needs.... They make sure that you are in the drivers seat the entire time.... They guide and direct you to options that will work the best for you.... Thank You Sun Auto and Tom Burk!!!! You have gone above and beyond... Making my purchase one of the easiest investment choices I have made in a long time!!!! You have a new lifetime buyer!!! And I will direct and refer anyone to you in the future!!!

Rene was not only a pleasure to work with in finding a vehicle, but he was also very helpful! I was in a tight spot after getting into an accident and totaling my car. The financing bank on that car was refusing to give me a new loan. I had visited 2 other dealerships of whom would only help me if I put down more of a down payment then I could afford. One of them even promised me financing if i met a few conditions, and once i met them, they told me to travel over an hour to test drive stuff, just to say they wouldnt finance! Rene, took my situation into consideration, treating me more like a person than another commission. He did his best to get me into a vehicle that I really wanted on the lot, but that fell through due to my own financial issues. But in less then a day he picked out another vehicle for me, got it financed at low payments, and listened to me well enough to know what I liked, even though his own preferences differed. Im not disappointed in the slightest with his choice for me. To boot, after the sale, I noticed a small issue with the cruise control functionality, and hes still going above and beyond to get it solved for me at no additional cost. Thank you Rene! Tom Burk is a awesome sales person. He is a hard worker and always on the move. I did not have a lot of time to shop and buy a car..been there and done that.. Beifly talking with Tom we had a conversation of what I was looking for and how I was going to use the car. To keep this simple ...he found the perfect car for the application. 2015 Chevy Sonic LTZ. ( cool little ride ) I did my homework on line for blue book on this type of car and met with him. We agreed on a price I was willing to pay for the car in a very short time frame. I would recommend Sun Auto Warehouse ! This is what they do. A very kind sales team with no high pressure sales. Picking up the car ... No hassles what so ever. Everything was done a head of time and all in order. I signed the paper work..he synchronized my phone to the audio system any away I went all in a half hour. A+ Tom on your hard work and finding a car to match my needs.
