From what I know of Sun, and my ability to spot shady business owners mediocre writing skills, I strongly suspect many of the positive reviews here are fraudulent. By that I mean fabricated. Their attempts to reconcile with low raters is not to fix their mistakes, but to mitigate the poor reputation. One could say that claim is speculative of me, conjecture even, but one would be speculating by saying so! My first car buying experience right out of college, my reasoning for 1 star (technically a zero, but it wont allow me to assign a zero) is thorough and well-documented, probably too long for this venue. I filed a claim with the BBB and Suns response was riddled with half-truths and a few outright lies. Their shoddy workmanship couldve literally killed me, and they admitted as much over the phone, but denied it with the BBB. In fact, tehy touted how I didnt have to pay for that "repair" and how I should be grateful. One would assume Id be worshiping such pillars of the community. Despite the fact their salesmen did ultimately threaten me (he was fired soon after). Heres a taste: Free Car Washes for Life of Car? Ha! Unlikely!! Another promotion shamelessly used by Sun Chevy to sell cars is the free car wash tickets for the life of the car. For the first 3 years of owning this vehicle, I lived approximately 2 miles from Sun Chevy’s headquarters in Chittenango, NY and was able to obtain only THREE free car washes during that time (keep in mind the car was there over a dozen times for repairs. No, they dont automatically wash it for you, even when youre paying them $1000s for repairs, I had to wait in line after picking the car up!). The reason is the limited availability of car washes. Car Wash station opens at 9:00 am, but doesn’t start washing cars until after 9:15 am (staff needs to chat and have coffee first). Then, car washes are unavailable during the 2 hour lunch period from 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM. (who takes 2- hour lunches?) The Car wash station in Chittenango closes at 4:00 PM, and is open only Monday thru Friday. The hours available make it difficult to obtain for someone with an 8:00 am to 5:00 PM job. My experience is the wait times are long, if you actually get there within the few hrs a day they’re actually washing cars. The few car washes I got required a min. of 1 hour at the car wash location.

I thought a business was about providing exceptional customer service, however it appears that Sun Auto does not care about customer service whatsoever. I went there to buy a truck. When I look for a dealership I could care less about prices and the amount of cars that they have on the lot, I look for a business that provides exceptional customer service and has great sales people. Apparently Sun auto does not provide this. As I was test driving a vehicle that I had expressed that I was extremely interested in the truck. While i was test driving they had sold it to someone over the internet who didnt even come in and look at it. First of all who buys a vehicle without test driving it or looking at it? I travelled almost an hour to come test drive this vehicle with the expectation of buying it afterwards. I dont understand why they would do that to a customer. They Didnt even apologize nor did they even try to rectify the situation....they just apparently did not care that they waste my time nor that they were going to lose business. They do not care about Customer Loyalty nor do they have any common decency. Not only were we looking for a truck in the next couple of months we were going to buy an SUV as well so they lost out on two sales. They have officially lost my business and I will not be referring anybody there. I will be taking my business to a competitor who is willing to provide exceptional customer service.

If you are reading this 5 star review then you are wondering what makes Sun Chevrolet Chittenango better than other car dealerships? It’s sales representatives like Greg Cunningham, it’s the HUGE selection of cars, and it’s also the FREE services after you purchase a new or used car. What dealer do you know that gives you free car washes, NYS year inspections, oil changes and car detailing? Sun Chevrolet. My wife purchased her first new car from Sun Chevrolet Chittenango. After going to four other dealers, no others could compare to this one. She ended up with a great new 2017 Chevy Cruze with all of the amenities she wanted, and I can guarantee it was the best price in upstate NY. We recommend that you, your family and friends at least stop by and see Greg, no matter what kind of automobile you are thinking about purchasing.

In all of our years buying cars we have always bought locally or as close to locally as we could. This time we went outside of our comfort zone and bought from Sun Chevrolet! Its 2.5 hours away from our home. Megan was our salesperson and we only knew her from the voice on the other end of the phone. It was a kind voice that invited us in and instantly made us feel welcome and comfortable. Today, I met Megan and we would both agree felt the sale was destined to happen. We love our local dealers but we always say there is room to grow and Megan at Sun Chevrolet will always have a place in our heart because she went the the extra mile with two strangers from 2.5 hours away and made that distance disappear instantly. We would highly recommend Megan and Sun Chevrolet. Superb customer service from beginning to end!!!

One of the easiest car buying experiences Ive ever had. Brandon Martin, new to Sun Chevrolet, Inc. in Chittenango was experienced and attentive ensuring that we were offered the best deal possible. Bill walked us through the purchasing information and our options allowing us to save money on our monthly payments in the long run. All the employees were kind and willing to help with whatever we needed which made this experience more enjoyable. The VIP program at Sun Chevrolet is like no other- free car washes daily, free lifetime inspections, and your choice of a free oil change or car detail on your birthday (how much better can it get). I would recommend Sun Chevrolet to anyone looking for a new or used car (even if its not a Chevy)! They have all makes, models and years available at their disposal.

Its always a pleasure working with sun Chevy! Ive done business with them for 15+ years/ 4 cars. They are fantastic! From working with you to find the perfect vehicle until youre ready to turn it in for another! Chuck grimes was my past salesman and he (as always) made the process extremely easy, fun, and straightforward. There website is great to work through as well. Reese helped me narrow down my choices as there inventory was a little overwhelming. But I was able to pinpoint specifics that I wanted in a new (used vehicle), and Reese made sure to set it aside so i could meet with Chuck to test drive that evening. All around great experience!! Rob Curcio and Jesse Echard have always gone above and beyond with a personal level of service that we have not experienced anywhere else! We rely on them for all our vehicles and service. Their service area has always been accommodating and fast. They even have a technical specialist to explain and set up all the bells on whistles on our vehicles! I cant say enough about how great they are. Only that we will continue to do all of our business there and encourage our family and friends to do the same!
