I have been a customer for over five years and even recommended them to many people, but after my most recent experience I will never buy another vehicle from them again. I had received a post card asking to set up an inspection appointment as my lease was coming up. I had contacted Kia, as my only other experience with leasing a vehicle was approximately 10 years prior, so I am by far not an expert of the ins and outs of the lease process. I spoke with a salesman by the name of Dave, and informed him that I thought my lease was up in April and I was interested in coming in to look at a new vehicle. I went in a few days later and test drove a new Sorrento and informed Dave that I was interested in financing this vehicle instead of going into another lease. Dave asked if I had made my payment in March and I had, so he said I should be paid off and to remember to bring the spare key fab so that I wouldnt be charged when turning in my former leased vehicle. I should have known there was a problem when I was going over the paperwork with Sam, and he pointed out that Dave had overlooked something that could have given me lower payments and he attributed it to Dave having worked in their used car dealership before coming over to the new car department. I thanked Sam for the catch, and he even pointed out that there was no turn in value listed on the paperwork since my former vehicle was a lease, which made sense to me, as I have only ever leased one vehicle prior over a decade ago, so I am not too familiar with the process. I drove off with my new Kia and approximately a month later I received a letter from Kia finance, stating that i owed over 1500.00 dollars as my lease was actually not up until July. I contacted the number on the letter immediately and was told I needed to take this up with the dealer. I contacted Dave and he asked me to fax a copy of the letter to them, which I did the same day. The next day I got a phone call from Dave asking if I had faxed the letter and I stated I had and asked if he had not received it. Dave said he would check and call me back. A week went by and I had heard nothing. I called and spoke with Dave, who basically said it was my fault that I told him that my lease was up in April. I said had I known I would have waited and if I had walked in and said my credit score was 850 he wouldnt just take my word for it, he would have checked to ensure it was valid. Dave said he needed to speak with a manager and get back to me, which he never did. It got so bad that I had to play the girl card and get my husband involved, and he was given the run around as well. When he called the dealership they told him that they had no record of my prior lease and that they dont do the inspections there, and that I never traded in another vehicle. My husband went there the next day and miraculously they were able to look up my lease and told him it was not up until July, and to go back home and get the paperwork they gave me to compare to what they have, and then he could speak with the owner. My husband did all that, went back the next day and was told that he couldnt talk to the owner or a manager as he was not present during the actual transaction. I have since called the owner twice, and my husband called after he DID NOT return my calls after two messages. We have filed a report with the BBB and consulting with an attorney; however, Kia finance will only extend the due date to the end of this month and has already put a derogatory remark on my credit report. This has been a complete nightmare and I will never go back again.

Horrible customer care and service. Definitely paid for my car out right and up front and was given a lemon. Dont tell me youd trust your own daughter in a vehicle with tires that just BARELY passed inspection. No fog light, transmission pretty much shot, not to mention my father was a friend with the gentleman that sold me the 2006 Subaru Tribeca. Before our purchase I was told the vehicle was in great shape just needed a new headlight and brakes. According to them that was it. Not once was I told the tires had cracks in them and that this AWD would have no traction and a slow leak, or that every time you put it in drive itll have a thud because the transmission is pretty much going. Didnt even have the vehicle for 4 months couldnt even put 10,000 miles on it because every other week I am forking out more money I do not have to fix their mistakes. They have been rude and unwilling to help considering my situation at the moment. If I buy it from you shouldnt you be at fault or helpful towards getting the problems fixed? Nope, instead I am out a vehicle and $12,600 when according to them the car was only worth $11,346. Make sense to you? Only given a 30 day warranty already had problems before that and they still said there was nothing I could do or them. Because I previously had tried to bring them to court I suppose it is okay for them to be ignorant towards me. It is called having manners and dealing with your customers accordingly cannot be mad at me for your own faults!! Very displeased with their employees and service I do NOT recommend them to ANYONE! I am in the works of a legal dispute and will hopefully obtain a fair trade or my money back to take my time and money to someone who is more reputable!

I only traveled an hour to Kia Of East Syracuse in response to a flyer I Received in the mail. Although the deal the offered me was ok there were a lot of reasons I left without buying a car. At first everything was ok I took a car for a test drive and talked a bit about the car then things took a turn for the worse when it came down to putting a deal together. The sales man came out with a preliminary offer that was not what I was looking for so I told him thanks but no thanks and got ready to leave and then he came back and said how about I have them run this and see if we can get a better deal so I agreed. The salesman assured me I was in good hands because the OWNER was working on this deal for me. The deal they came back with was ok but was not where we were trying to be payment wise so I said I needed to call my wife and discuss it with her. Together we decided to wait on any final decisions and discuss it later. When I told the salesman that I needed to wait until I talked a little more with my wife about it thats when things went wrong. He returned to the Office to tell the OWNER our decision the owner was very loudly complaining to the salesman and basically calling us idiots for not taking the deal. then the salesman came out and said ok give him a call later to let him know what we decide. I got in my car to leave and out came the sales man trying to guilt me into the deal telling me how the owner had to call in all kinds of favors to get me the deal and its a great offer and so on. The customer service was pushy, unprofessional, and down right rude. I will never shop here again and definitely will not be referring a friend.
