In general this is a good store - wide selection of fruits/vegetables, open 24/7, and they have most of the other stuff youd expect - though not nearly the same section or price as the Stop & Shop 1 block away. However, I hold a grudge because of how they try to avoid NYs bottle deposit law. I go there at least twice a week and, among other things get Ronnybrook/FarmFriend/Straus glass-bottled milk. Each bottle has a 2USD deposit, so its worth putting it through the dishwasher & returning. A backpack full of glass bottles is about 20USD off my grocery bill and the bottling company gets to reuse them directly. Every single time Ive tried to bring bottles back Ive gotten resistance. The first time, they said they dont take them, so I gave up until I read through the text of the Bottle Bill... It turns out they are required to accept any container they sell, up to 240 per person/day (a limit Im nowhere near hitting). The second & third times it worked, but only after the cashier called over other employees and I showed them that they did sell that brand of milk. On the fourth time the cashier had to call over another cashier and then the manager. They took half the bottles, but refused to accept Ronnybrook bottles (even though I bought them from their store) and only took the half-gallon glass bottles after I showed the manager that I was buying the exact same type & brand of bottle that I was returning. I shouldnt need to spend this much time explaining to their employees how the bottle deposit system works. Also, this is not just one employee whos screwing up - Ive gotten a different cashier each time I tried to return bottles.

I would rate this store 6 stars if i could..the variety is mesmerizing! Prices are decent. They have an incredible produce section. Theres so many aisles and shelves with tons of all natural, gourmet products. Theyre nutz with the nuts selection :p ..their fresh coffee is out of this world. I dont eat dairy nor pastry but this section seems phenomenal as well. They have lots of imported drinks, seltzer, etc. I can go on. And its easy to get lost in there..which Im not sure if thats a good thing or bad. Lol..nonetheless, the only gripe I have is that their return/ exchange policy isnt the greatest and another strike, is the fact that dont bother asking questions about wheres this, wheres that, whats that..it would be in vain..cust serv is 180° from say WF or t. Joes..but regardless, they are friendly and will attempt to assist..only way to acquire some decent communication is if you come from the same intl country as they do. Oh well..overall great supermarket. OH, and cant forget about the 24 hr thing..huge plus..especially for an insomniac like myself ;)

This is, hands down, the BEST fruit and vegetable market in the entire city of New York! Bold statement? Yes. But this place lives up to it. There are dozens (literally) of varieties of apples, pears, oranges, melons, etc. available here that you just can not find anywhere else in New York. PLUS, the quality of their produce is excellent, and they have organic produce also! As are the prices! It is almost too good to be true! And they are open 24 hours a day...365 days a year!!! I travel from Valley Steam, NY to this market at least once a month and stock up. They have a large variety of nuts, baked goods, candies, dairy, spices, cold cuts, you name it! Just one trip here and I guarantee youll be back. A true gem in the heart of Brooklyn! I highly recommend it!!!

Good place to find everything you need for your table. Always fresh vegetables, rare to find spices, large variety of meat, cheese and sweets. They also have fresh bread they baking them self. They have they own parking lot in back. Why I rate it with four stars ? PRICES!!! This place is not cheap, some of the items are seriously overpriced. But you have to come and see for yourself.

Food is always fresh and tasty very good presentation , fruits and vegetables always fresh a delicatessen to die for, bread baked on premises simply delicioso, pastries galore yuuuummm. I have not been in a store that has such a vast selection of honey. The choices are sooo good that you have to be careful not to spend all your money. Its truly a one stop food store.

Amazing shopping here, open 24/7, I live across the street and shop here day and night. Giant variety of fruits and vegetables as well as nearly anything you need for the house. You can get organic or not, I come here 3am to get ice cream. Not sure how I will live without this place when I move...

great fruit and vegetable selection and great security that follow you around and watch you from a diagonal view to make sure your not stealing even though you come in there at least once a week because its the best place to get fresh dried ginger!

I like, always fresh and clean. Stuff are good except some of cashiers. Some of them are very nice and polite, some are rude and do not know how to speak with costumers.To be honest didt like Nargiza B. Otherwise all are perfect.

Huge selection of fresh fruit and vegetables as well as various eastern European/Mediterranean/Turkish delicacies. Fruit and vegetables are very reasonably priced, deli not so much. open 24 hours so thats a plus as well.
