My father needed hearing aid batteries which were advertised as on sale through a buy two get one free offer. The catch is that they only have two of each kind available, and "I would need to talk to the manager to get any kind of discount off the third one from the different brand, and hes not in." Two men working the store by the way. So I thought ok, so we buy one, its on sale anyway, at three dollars below the normal price. The sales man sat there as we talked price comparisons and all, and then rung us up for the full price. So I asked why? "Oh, well often they are hung up on the wrong peg." Nice, right?! So I go take a look, and they are ALL hung up on the wrong pegs, in a neat and organized fashion (all yellow ray-o-vacs with yellow, red with red etc), so that they look like they are in the right place. Meanwhile, these deceptive sales guys are outside the store when we arrive hanging out kibutzing. I have no problem with that either by the way, if the work inside the store has taken place, which clearly it had not. Also tried to return some Radioshack brand huge junky gps mount they talked him into buying, and they wouldnt take it even though it was sealed and still had the price tag on it. Very lame. Radioshack...I guess you get what you pay for. Avoid it, maybe it will close like all the other businesses in that location.

Sorry to see R/S close especially given the growing maker trend. This brand has been a favorite for 40 years from the battery club to the TRS-80 (jokingly named the trash-80) all based on a famous z80 chip when things like lower case letters was not yet a feature but computing had its first chance to be wide spread consumable. The store played a purpose for us original makers who fixed our own radios and home electronics and cars before they were made disposable. Thankful that for many years they balanced their utility as a destination to outlive its rivals like Heathkit. The manager of this store was a very nice and helpful woman that worked hard and memorized everything including the entire battery section and the cross reference equivalent for every button battery. I wish her well as I watch them close the doors today.

The people here are awesome. They solve problems, theyre low-key, pleasant, they know stuff, and dont make you feel like a dope. Really hope they stay in business, would be a big loss to the area if they closed.
