I have just begun the journey of searching for my bridal gown. Prior to visiting with Tina at Lady Gray I experienced the mass market bridal shops in Manhattan and boy could you tell there was a HUGE difference in service. Tina, who is the current owner and has been at the store for some 30+ years took over the business from her mother who opened the store 50 years ago! Now there is something to be said for a small town Mom and Pop shop that has been able to survive that long. Tina reminds me of "your best friends Mom", meaning she was happy to give her opinion and honesty but was not overbearing or pushy. My best friend/ MOH made the appointment for me, they asked her all the right questions over the phone in order to be prepared for the appointment. Once we got there I was amazed by the large selection of bridesmaid and mother of the bride gowns they carried! This shop has everything you need in one spot, including beautiful unique jewelry pieces and veils like I have never seen in magazines or other stores, and that because Tina makes them all to order! Not only does Tina make custom veils she also does all of the tailoring in house, once your dress comes in it never leaves the shop! I was further more amazed that the price of the gown included all of the tailoring and fittings a bride would need! After describing the style I was looking for Tina pulled gowns she thought Id be interested in and honestly I couldnt have done a better job if I was the one pulling the gowns myself. I tended to lean towards the gowns designed by Maggie Sottero, however great quality and design was found in each dress. I have read some of the reviews below that make a point to bash on the fact that they do not allow photos to be taken of the gowns. I of course was saddened and frankly nervous once I heard this as well, how was I going to remember all the gowns and their detail?!? Tina explained that she had good reason for this and after hearing her explanation I could certainly understand her point since I experienced EXACTLY what she was talking about after visiting the bridal shops in Manhattan. I loved so many dresses when they were on me, perfectly pinned, and held in/up by the stylists. The image in the mirror looked great, but when we all went to get drinks after and my mom and bridal party showed me the photos they took I started second guessing everything. With that being said Tina assured me that I could come back and visit with "my dresses" whenever I wanted! My MOH also took diligent notes about each dress and their details and my opinion of them. I will certainly be coming back to Lady Gray, and I highly recommend that any bride in the area do the same, if not only to experience the compassion Tina has for her work and the industry, she treats each dress as though it belonged to a bride that was part of her family.

Going to Lady Gray was the best experience I had choosing my wedding dress! I went to Kleinfelds in New York City and I thought I found my dress but I didnt have the feeling that I know I was told that you would feel. I decided to go with my mom one Saturday, we were on our way to Lady Gray and I called and spoke with Tinas mom, she immediately connected me with Tina and Tina made space for me that day! I went there and tried on 3 dresses, the third dress I had the feeling and I knew that this was my dress! I went back for many appointments between fittings for myself and my bridesmaids. Every experience was always amazing and I always felt like I was family! What made this experience at Lady Gray the best experience was that my dog got sick and we werent sure if he was going to make it to the wedding and I had always wanted a picture of my dog and I in my wedding dress! She allowed my dog to come into the shop and we took pictures and staged the experience that I would have on my wedding day! It was an amazing experience and I couldnt have asked for a better experience! Thank you Tina for the fabulous experience!!!

Had a great experience from start to finish at Lady Gray shop! The atmosphere of the shop is very relaxed and inviting. The owner was extremely knowledgeable and staff very friendly. The dresses themselves are also gorgeous even for my more conservative price range and the owner made sure to respect this range and only pull dresses within it for me to try on. Only thing I wish is that these types of boutique stores let you take pictures of the dresses! It would be so helpful in the decision making process to have an actual visual to look back at and reference. Besides that I had no other cons what-so-ever and would recommend to anyone getting married! Tailoring is also included in the price of the dress- a huge pro!!

Meeting Tina today at her Lady Gray Dress Shop was the best experience Ive ever had at a dress shop. She is not only a delightful, warm, honest person but she was incredibly helpful in choosing dresses that were appropriate to my taste, after asking me what I like, and was able to let me know that these were available in the color I need for my daughters wedding. I found THE ONE and ordered it. Tina also helped with the zipping, pinning and rehanging so that the dresses would look as good as possible in order to give me an idea of how they will look in my size. I am thrilled that I found this shop in Beacon and extremely happy with my choice and Tinas input.

First impression — the store needs a makeover. Wood paneling, green carpets and smells like a grandma. But then Tina, the owner, revealed beautiful designer gowns behind a glass wall and I was in heaven. Her least expensive gown (excluding the sale rack) started at $1,000, just FYI. I thought the service was excellent. I found the perfect wedding gown there after visiting 6 stores from Albany to Beacon. I do wish Tina would take down the sign in her dressing room telling brides not to ask her for a discount. Overall though, I think this is one of the best bridal shops in the mid-Hudson Valley.

I went to Lady Gray for several bridesmaid dresses. Each experience was horrible, Tina was friendly to the bride but never to the bridesmaids. She made my mother leave the shop in tears after telling her that she was too fat to wear a nice dress. Tina is rude and thinks she is being helpful about your wedding when in reality she is being rude. If she likes something on you then she pushes it and what you actually like she makes negative comments about it!! She needs to update her place and the dress selection.. There are plenty of other bridal places I would recommend over Lady Gray!

I got my wedding dress there. Before I ordered it I was concerned about alterations. She answered questions like she knew how to alter, but when the time came to alter my dress for the chest to fit properly, she wouldnt do it (claimed she couldnt.) She wanted me to just pad it so Id be about 3 sizes bigger. I had to make three trips with other people (including my husband) to convince her it needed changed. She finally altered it, and it was better but not ideal. Unless you have a perfectly proportioned body, Id stay away.
