December 9, 2014 Receipt Time Stamp: 4:55 pm This was absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever encountered. I have never left a store feeling the way I felt this evening. I went in to pick up some wood pellets for our wood pellet stove. I went to their small fireplace section and could not find what I was looking for. I then proceeded to a customer service representative who was running the return line. He (Jeff) could not help me as I needed, but did call another store representative in the Lawn and Garden section. I believe his name was “Don.” He gave me very general directions to get to this location, and I ended up circling around back to the same spot I was previously in. While in route, I asked a female representative (I did not see her name tag, but she was wearing a purple shirt, blue jeans, and purple New Balance sneakers) just to see if I was in the right location and she rudely let me know she had no idea what I was talking about. When I returned back to the front of the store, I explained to Jeff that I did not find “Don” and ended up in the same place as where I started. By this time I was obviously getting on his nerves and he told me that Don was there waiting for me to arrive. During this conversation, the sweetest man ever personally walked me to where I needed to be. He had the absolute best personality and executed great customer service. I actually called the store back so I could get his name to let you all know that he was absolutely wonderful (Bob A). Once we got back to Lawn and Garden, Don was standing there waiting for us to arrive. Before he placed the items in my shopping cart, I asked him if the pellets were low ash because my husband asked me to make sure they were. His reply (Don) was, “That’s all we sell. It says it right there on the bag.” Taken aback, I answered, “My apologies, I was unaware of that.” I then asked to double check the price. I read off a sign of $6.99 and asked Don if that was correct. He rudely replied, “Yea. If you want a folding chair.” By this time I asked Don no further questions. He was quite rude and made me feel uncomfortable. I politely thanked both gentlemen and pushed my cart back to the front of the store. I proceeded to checkout, but noticed all of the lighted registers were labeled “Self Check-Out.” Did I mention that I had 4 40-lb bags of wood pellets in my cart, so I would have definitely needed assistance ringing this up. I went back to Jeff’s register and asked him if I could check out there. Again, with a slight attitude, he said to me, “There are people at self check out to help you just so you know.” By this time I was more than ready to go, and slightly annoyed with the service I was receiving. After I checked out, I asked Jeff if there was someone available to help me put the bags (remember 160 lbs) into my car. He asked another female representative if someone was available and she said yes just call. After about 5 minutes of waiting, Jeff asked me to pull my car up because it seemed as if he was going to have to do it himself. I return back into the store and wait for an additional 5-10 minutes before someone would come. No one came so I proceeded to my vehicle (which is parked in the yellow lane, as per your store associate’s request) to place the bags in the car myself. Jeff meets me outside after about 2 minutes of struggle and says, “Now that the register has calmed down, I can help you.” I told him to have a great evening and thanked him again before heading home. Just to recap, I was spoken to as if I was an illiterate individual, I hold two Bachelor’s Degrees and a Master’s of Education degree as well, just so it’s clear that I do have the ability to read, and felt uncomfortable because one of your employees is rude and probably dislikes his job. I did not deserve this treatment, being as though I was a paying customer. I will never again visit this location. My suggestion would be to offer some profession development workshops for those employees who lack professionalism.

Go to lowes nearby on rt 73 N instead! Lowes has much better customer service and the store is cleaner. I live close by so have gone into Home Depot several times always to be disappointed. Sometimes it smells like mouse feces near the bird food. And most of the time I am greeted abruptly by the employees. Today I went in to get a propane refil for the grill and tulip bulbs. I brought my two year old and three year old with me. Upon entering the store the customer service employee said I couldnt bring the cart I was using to carry the heavy propane tank into the store. I didnt understand this because I have used the flat cart many times prior in this store. Next I was off to get tulip bulbs and trying to keep two toddlers close by. Two of the employees pushing carts of flowers told me I had to get out of their way. At this point I was ready to dump anything i was holding and leave the store Finally I check out and am told to wait outside a few minutes for the new propane. After five frustrating minutes of waiting I flag down an employee who takes her time grabbing another employee to walk over. I asked if he had the key for the gas. He keeps walking by and all I heard him say was "no" as he went inside. He came back with the key but when I explained my frustration with my experience he brushed me off stating that he had been there for 17 years and was never rude to anyone. Stongly recommend you find a better store. There are many that will provide the same service with better treatment.

Ordered a refrigerator from Home Depot. When they showed up, they announced that because the ice make was hooked up with copper tubing, they couldnt uninstall the old refrigerator or connect the new one. Despite telling me that this policy was written on the order, it was not. My policy is to NEVER AGAIN order from these incompetent clowns.
