I generally like to go to Target over Wal-Mart, however I had an unpleasant experience here - which I never had at any Wal-mart and Target always tries to put themselves above that store.. I entered the store. 5 minutes later they announced that the store is closing and everybody has to check out, meanwhile I was still walking to the other end to get what I came for. About 10 different employees chased after me and told me that the sore is closing and I have to leave, some were really rude - and this was 5 minutes after I walked in. If they didnt want people to shop before closing why couldnt they just lock the door. I have no idea when Target closes, so I didnt know it was right at that time. Another problem they seem to have is stocking issues. Theyre always out of stock for my fav. things I come here for: 8 Oclock coffee columbian blend, Welchs Fruit Snacks mixed fruit, Rittersport dark chocolate. I keep looking week after week and theyre always out - that spot is always empty. I understand that some of these things could be popular, but cant they just order more since theres a demand for it? Im really avoiding this Target whenever I can, coz of the bad experience and item outage.

The nicest place in Piscataway place to shop, prices are comparable to the sprawl-mart down the street and prices are within a few dollars of the other place. However; the reason I go here instead of Walmart is that the place is well organized, well stocked, clean, and well-lit along with a staff that’s available when needed. Starting from the parking lot itself, this place is clean and not littered with shopping carts, you’ll find a few fast food bags on occasion but it’s rare. Step into the store, the entrance is wide and uncluttered, the shopping carts are always stocked and clean working condition. The bargain isles are right up front on both entrances so if you are looking for something like the dollar store, it’s right there. They also have a “seasonal” section in the back where they have the usual Christmas, Easter, summer, back to school and fall items in one large area. The staff is friendly and helpful and is usually easily accessible which makes it a no-brainer to shop at this place.

Older lady at customer services needs to be avoided if you have a price issue. I thought a bed set was 10 bucks cheaper where I grabbed it. No big deal. Went to ask if there can be something done about the price. She takes her time walking back there even though she could have called the two employees from back there. Comes back tells me it was 79.99. I tell her again that I grabbed it wear it said 69.99. She told me no, you grabbed it where it says 79.99. I was like ok whatever ill just get it. I told her again that I grabbed it in the 69.99 spot before I bought it, but she has the nerve to tell me that I definitely did not. So rude. I left. Went to kohls only to end up wanting to thank that woman at target because I end up with a bed set with a thread count 525 compared to 300 at a sale price of 59.99. Thank you short grumpy lady at target customer service for allowing me to get a better product for cheaper somewhere else! Ill surely take my business else where!!!

Horrible Staff... My Wife is pregnant and we completed baby registry based on the one of the sales representative. Its been more than one month, every week or other they call us to collect Hoodie Bag but when we reach the customer care, they simply tell us nothing came in. The lady at customer care at the customer care is like very rude, i never seen such a treatment for a pregnant lady. I told my wife just to give up on this. Somehow i feel the staff in this particular store is very bad. I will try to avoid this store and move on to stores like Walmart etc. Sorry i was unable to pick less rating, if there is a possibility i would have choose -ve rating.

nice open layout, bright, clean looking store. btw the "limit 6" thing is an existing store policy, all the targets ive gone to (at least in jersey) have that. it sucks but it is in the fine print of their ads. other than that ive had mostly good shopping experiences with this store. their employees are a mixed bag- some ive talked to are helpful, others seem to make it a point to avoid eye contact at all costs.

Terrible experience. Drove 25 minutes to the store for the specific item , that was not there. The online inventory shows stock, but store does not have the item . The salesperson looked like she was from another planet. Had not idea where the product is, and gave some weird explanation about online inventory control. Total waste of time. Soon Targets will follow the way of Kmarts :(

I like this Target location, but I dont love it because I think the overall organization of the store is not as good as other locations. Some of the choices of where to place items left me scratching my head. That said, the store is clean and they always have what I need. The staff is friendly and helpful.

I love shopping here! The store is very clean and the associates very friendly. Managers pay attention to open more check out counters when there are lines so you dont have to wait long to pay. My only complaint is that sometimes the shelves are poorly stocked esp Milk and the produce section.

How can you give a Target anything less than 5 stars? South Plainfield Target is always super friendly and well stocked. The only negative thing I have to say is that I always end up spending more than I planned on before I went in...lol

Nice and quiet. The staff treats their employees like they care, unlike Walmart a few blocks away. Nice and convienient that there is a Starbucks and a place to get a quick snack like a hot dog or a pretzel. They even have ICEEs!

We got there 5 minutes before closing and the staff was very welcoming. No one rushed us. By the time we ran to get what we were looking for and back to register... it was 8 minutes. We were the last ones out the door I think

The store layout is open and nice. I seem to be able to find what I look for every time. I like the apparel items here better than Walmart. I enjoy the 5% discount when I pay with Target card. Great weekly flyer specials.

Their inventory control system is lacking and inaccurate. Call the store first for inventory, but be warned, that might take a while for them to even search their warehouse which doesnt sound so orderly.

A huge store but the category and signs are clear. The environment is good and clear.The price here is a little bit expensive compared to other stores but the shopping feeling may be the best.

I can do some grocery shopping and also pick up a inexpensive T.shirt and get my child a cycling helmet....But it was made in china ..So ill keep looking for that item...
