This store is awesome. I first stopped in shortly after the grand opening after hearing about the store from a friend. As an avid gamer and collector of games I was excited to hear that a store catering specifically to retro gaming was opening in central Jersey as previously the closest store was over an hour away from where I live. When I entered the owner greeted me personally and asked me if I had any questions. I am glad to say that since that day I have become somewhat of a regular at the store. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about all things retro gaming and are more than happy to answer and dumb (or not so dumb) questions you may have. The selection is great and they are always acquiring new stock. I have even managed to find many hard to find games such as Earthbound and Tengen Tetris there for a reasonable price. The staff knowledgeable about the price of games and will always give you a fair price on games and consoles. They will even let you test out any of their games before buying if you are unsure. The only downsides are that the store is a bit cluttered and occasionally becomes a bit crowded on busy days. Otherwise it is a great place to shop that I highly recommend to all fans of retro gaming.

This is the best video game store I have been to in the NYC-NJ-Eastern PA region. They had an excellent selection of games and systems from every era and every price range- from ultra high-end stuff like Little Samson to completely obscure imports for a few bucks. Sports games and other filler titles were kept to a minimum. Games were in better physical condition than their competition- which is not to say that they are pristine, but rather acceptable overall. Staff and store were a bit disorganized, but the overall experience was good. Pricing was high, but fair for this type of store. You wont get a deal, but you wont be gouged either. They also do repairs and had a lot of other kids of merchandise related to gaming (strategy guides, controllers, magazines, memorabilia items, etc.) If you are a retro gamer and you live within hour of Somerville, you owe it to yourself to check this place out.

I visit the store frequently and I must say its incredible how the owner remembers every customer and their tastes. I was looking for a SNES R-Type III cartridge, and he didnt have it at the moment (That game is normally sold above $40), knowing I have Gameboy advance, a couple days later Paul called me giving me the good news of an R-Type III for gameboy advance (same game in a different platform) but the cost was HALF THE PRICE the SNES version. Thats what I call creative and good customer service that goes WAY above and beyond any expectations because I didnt imagine that game was available in another system and it was thoughtful of him to remember exactly what I wanted. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to buy both mainstream and cult retro games.

Searching for that lost colecovision system you once had, but mom threw out? still have the urge to pop in a Nintendo Nes super Mario bros. Just to see if you can find the princess? Look no further...These guys have it all, AND THEN SOME. Very fair prices, large inventory, courteous staff, and theyll even take trades for cash, or credit! Not only do they stock games, and consoles, They have an assortment of New controllers, and console hook ups for just about any system. Upon first stepping into the store you might feel a bit overwhelmed by the amount of items on display, Dont let that fool you, the owner and workers are very knowledgeable in all aspects of video gaming.

Reasonably nice people, otherwise I would give this store two stars. Decent selection as well, but please, DO NOT ever sell anything to them, you are doing yourself a complete disservice -- you will be lucky to receive 1/3 of the fair market value. I understand they have overhead expenses (salaries, taxes and rent), but my recommendation is to put in a little more effort and sell on eBay or Craigslist. Out of curiosity, I asked them how much I could get for Panzer Dragoon Saga (which I eventually sold for $450 on eBay net of, or after, fees and shipping charges), and I was quoted $150. Come on. The hygiene of the employees also leaves a little bit to be desired.

Hate to be the one to give a negitve review since they havent had one in 11 months. In fact the reviews is what sent me to the store. First off the store has an old smell like a basement with standing water. On top of that the store is pretty dirty. Then the prices are a bit high compared to going online. Lastly they have a sign that says no returns we test everything. I bought a nes game for 5 dollars, and it didnt work. So figured at least I could exchange it. I was told its just a five dollar game sorry no exchanges. Just bad customer service. Stay away from this place.

The collection of classic and vintage gaming in this store is fantastic to see. Games and memorabilia that every gamer can appreciate. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and personable, and his prices are fair. He has always made my friends and I welcome in his store. I have made several purchases here and have never been disappointed. If you like classic games of any kind, this is the place for you. Would definitely recommend this store.

hard to sort through especially with the lights they keep off. The prices for anything behind the counter are to high. They wont give you much for trade ins. It might be that Im used to getting store credit which most stores boost a little compared to cash as insentive to buy but I get the impression that its a cash system. The guy there was nice but had to call a manager for every trade in which made the line longer.

This place is amazing. It has all games from different eras. The owner, Paul, is very knowledgeable and very friendly. He knows what you want and he is the most knowledable person I know about video games. The service and prices are great and I honestly will never go to any other store for video games. Brings back memories when I buy a retro game which are hard to come by now a days but this place will blow your mind.

Feeling nostalgic about retro classic games? Store name says it all, and has it all! Prices are respectfully set depending on the quality and demand of the endless products they have to offer. Very helpful, laid back, and humorous staff! If any of these features this store has to offer fit your category, you wont regret visiting here! Worth every mile driven! Definitely will be going back for a long time to come.
