Im surprised at the negative reviews about Doggie Dog World Rescue (aka Close to Home Animal Sanctuary). I adopted a puppy from them last March and could not have had a better experience. Lisa was a pleasure to communicate with and my puppy (beagle/coonhound mix) was exactly as she described. Shes now just over a year old and brings me so much happiness each day. Im sorry to those who had negative experiences but mine was absolutely fine.

Not very professional. Employees sit on the counters with friends. Not a good selesction, especially for lizards. Premium dog food is over priced. They were out of crickets for 3 days straight. Only reason it gets 2 stars over one is because its right next to the gym I go to

They lied about the dog I adopted, they would NOT take her back without a 30 day notice, regardless of the fact that the dog was hurting my children!! They were NASTY and do not care about their animals, just the money they are going to receive!!
