DO NOT COME HERE. This place should be shut down just like the other puppy shop across the street. To start the puppies are overpriced and most likely will come home with some sort of problem. We bought a golden retriever here (who is the best dog ever) but he came back with not one but two bad knees. The surgery cost almost 2,000 dollars. Although the new NJ state law against the puppies coming from puppy mills is in action Im sure this place still gets puppies from them despite what the owner says. The place smells very bad and I think anyone can tell when u walk in. Ive read the other reviews (most negative) and there is never a time when the owner Kevin doesnt respond. If the review is bad he always makes excuses and quite often brings up that hes been in buisness 22 years and has gotten the best puppy shop award apparently. This information changes nothing. His place is still dirty and uncared for. Ive met Kevin in the store before and he did not want us to take out the puppy as if we were not serious about taking it home. I have showed up multiple times because I have been looking for the right puppy for a while but everytime I go I have a bad experience. Kevin also is constantly on his phone last time I went I saw him look up about 3 times but go right back to texting or being on a call. If you have costomers pay attention to them, help them, and make them feel wanted because they r the people giving you buisness. The no pictures policy is plain bs. The owner clearly needs help with the store because there should never be only one worker when ur taking care of live animals that need not only attention but care. The puppies seem honestly very unhappy and almost unhealthy and any sign of attention makes them perk up. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Please please please DONT COME HERE. I cant wait for the owner to write back to me so I can hear whatever excuses he has to make. The truth is there is no excuse and this place should close!!!!!

Terrible, terrible business. Upon entering the store, I asked an employee if I could pet a dog (he was eagerly jumping, just wanting to be loved). I was told no because they did not want to "spread germs". When I offered to wash my hands, the story changed, I couldnt pet the dog because that would get him too excited and he would start barking. These people wont allow their puppies to be socialized or exercised because of the resulting noise!! Im sorry but you own a pet store, what do you expect?? As I continued on, I asked if I could play with a pup that I was interested in adopting- once again the answer was no. The employee told me there was no need to excite the dog unless I was positive Id be taking him home. I then asked if I could send a picture to my mom, as shed ultimately have the final say in the adoption and lives out of area- surprise, surprise, the answer was no again. Apparently the "breeders just said so, its just policy". No further explanation was offered. Finally, before I left, I asked if the puppies ever went outside or got socialized. The very short and rude employee told me that theyre let out to play while their cages are being cleaned, but not allowed out outside because of the heat. When I asked where they were let out then, he told me outside, so clearly something wasnt adding up. As I pushed further, the staff become more rude and disrespectful. Id only condone shopping here to get the puppies out of this situation! I cant get over how sad the dogs must be. All they want is a little love and attention.

Alright so about 3 months ago I came in looking for a pure sihtzu for my other dog. When I came in a asked this very young employee if they had any and he said no we do not. I then went to search around the store to see if anything would be an eye spotter. My child went to go look over a railing on my soldier and then this older man decided to yell at me and my child because we were leaning over. When I asked to see the puppy they declined which is unfortunate because the other store I went to allowed me to cuddle my puppy at the time in my arms. I also wanted to take a quick photo to my wife to show and I was still being yelled out not to take pictures (said it was a store policy) I then FaceTimed my wife and she told me to leave upon how the man acted. These puppies look really sad and depressed and I can see they did not have any attention and comes to the conclusion that the store may be accepting puppy mill puppies. I wouldnt trust this store as if they do do business with puppy mills it would be a shame. I certainly will not be coming back and I was proud to head over to the puppy barn down the road and purchase a puppy there. If only I could rate this 0 stars.

Purchased my puppy here almost a year ago, it has been the best puppy and healthiest I ever had. That does not mean every puppy purchased here will be also because all situations are different, and any puppy can come down with a illness . That is why you have the New Jersey protection laws. And if your puppy gets sick you bring it to a vet ,get a receipt and get reimbursed up to a certain amount. When I visited this store they informed me of the rules and I followed them . This is for protection of the puppies! Puppy stores are not petting zoos! I found the puppys to be extremely happy and healthy looking ,and very clean . Kevin and other personnel were constantly cleaning the cages during my 2 visits before I purchased. Papers were given to me and explained at the time of purchase. Some people really need to grow a brain! Do not take everything so personal, and if you cannot commit to taking proper care of your puppy and training them too , DO NOT PURCHASE ONE! I will be purchasing all my puppys here in the future.

I have never walked into a more sketchy and dismal puppy store. The puppies in the Puppy Palace look so tormented and sad, it is clear they are not well taken care of. The employee working there yelled at me for looking at (not even touching) a puppy for too long that I thought I might have a connection with. He then proceeded to continuously stare at me while I walked around, verbally reminding me not to touch any of the puppies (still hadnt even touched any). I couldnt even consider purchasing any of the puppies because I felt so disrespected and uncomfortable. To add to all of this, I caught the employee violently shoving some of the puppies out of the way with his scooper tool while cleaning out one of the cages. If that is how he treats the puppies in front of the customers I cannot imagine how they are treated when no one is there to see. I am very sad for these puppies and will never go back to the Puppy Palace ever again.
