Hello, I purchased a VW convertible for my wife from VW of Salem County and January of 2012. First the good, the price was fair and it was easy to negotiate with them. The bad, when we purchased the car there were items on the "we owe" list, this included a new top of a different color and removal of a satellite radio. To make a long story short, the car was promised on 3 different days for delivery, each day I had cleared time from my schedule and work and each time after I already left work I received a call it was not ready. When they FINALLY did deliver the car it was dirty, chipped windshield, the radio that was to be removed was still in it. My mistake was NOT driving the 1.5 hours to get the car even after all their errors, this is because they offered to deliver it to me. When I asked about the windshield, the dirty car and the radio work I was give poor answers. I am about 15 minutes from Thompson VW/AAudi in Doylestown Pa, I had to take it to them for state inspection so I asked VWSC to have Thompson do the work. They refused. I was given an opportunity to write to VW corporate and explained the problems, VW corp agreed with me on the situation but said they are only in an advisory position and are not able to compel them to take action though it has been noted in there record. I have bought 20+ cars personally, this is by far the worst. VW corp asked if I had received a "vehicle condition report" I told them I had not, A month later, I received a back dated report with my name on it but with a date weeks before I ever came to the dealer. The faked the paperwork to cover themselves. I have to put in a new windshield at $400, had to get the car detailed as they never cleaned it, pay for the inspection and have the radio removed. There is more to the story but doubt many will read this much of the rant. The up side is that it was a good deal, not sure they even made any money on it (not my problem ,they are big boys). I would have walked away except that I knew I would be taking the VW to Thompson VW/Audi in Doylestoen/Warminster PA, I have and still own Audi and love their servive, hard to believe but BETTER then when it was Holberts and I loved there service as well! MY suggestion, buy the car on price, dont expect any more as far as service or follow up, they are poor business people.

from the start , the sale went great! Tara and everyone was a phone call away, fast to respond any of my questions, but once i got my car and found problems, that all changed. on their site, their car-fax, everything was showing the car at 35k mileage, i was assuming and led to believe i will get this car at that mileage on the engine so im thinking i had a great deal , once i got my car it was at 39k, i still dont understand how it get so high within the week of the contact date.. so the valve of the car would of been alot cheaper, cost and making me over paid my car by almost 2 grand, they did not tell me anything about the mileage was different from what their webpage and car fax stated, then my tags and registration is not even done, the temp tag have expire almost three week while i am typing this, there was issue with the brakes and rotor being rusted and rough when braking they did not address while it was at their shop. me and my girlfriend got another audi last weekend at audi dealer ship and they got us to call Audi care about this issue and they will get with their corp manger involved with this whole ordeal. my recommendation is to stay away unless you buying a new car, if you getting a used car make sure they give you the real mileage of the car , do not believe what their site states,

Service department is a joke to say the least. They sold me a defective brand new vehicle that has been leaking water in the roof. It was there three times and still the "service manager" claims the vehicle is leak free and fixed when I can feel the water coming in every time it rains. He told me in order to have VW send a representative down they would need a visible sign of a leak but I guess showing him my wet fingers wasnt a good enough sign for him. If the proper diagnosis was done you would have been able to tell the headliner was wet and there would be no denying that it is leaking. Then they tell me they cannot help me with my vehicle and if I do not pick it up and return the courtesy car Ed threatened to call the cops and report it stolen. No sense of customer service or caring in this service department. Tried to get in contact with owner of dealership but was unsuccessful in my attempts to just speak with them. Then again it does take them hours to return a simple phone call because no updates were being given on my vehicle and I was getting curious. Took my car to another dealership whom I did not purchase it from and they were happy to help me. Definitely would not recommend VW of Salem County to anyone due to the lack of caring and horrible customer service.

Buyer beware, I would not buy a vehicle from these people I contacted VW of Salem NJ, Kevin Sullivan the sales manager and explained I was interested in a used vehicle they had advertised, and would be coming from out of state. I asked him “is there anything wrong with said vehicle?" He said it had been checked over thoroughly and there was nothing wrong. I also asked was there anything involved in this sale that would make me regret this purchase? He said absolutely not! We agreed on a price that was actually above NADA retail- because he said this was in perfect condition. Upon arrival, I looked it over; test drove it, paid, and dove 350 miles to get home. I took it to get State inspection. I was told all 4 tires are severely dry rot and needed to be replaced. Also a major concern they said they were unsafe to drive on any type of road trip (I just drove 350 miles on freeways). Is VW of Salem NJ obliged to sell a safe vehicle and are they obliged to stand by their word? VW of Salem chose to do nothing. If I was Volkswagen, I would not have somebody of this caliber representing my brand

I would like to recommend the dealership and the sells person for the professionalism that they presented and the honesty that Ron Kincaid presented when I called from Princeton VW parking lot as my son was sleeping in the car and the sells person wasnt happy about coming out outside to speak with me about purchasing the car. Days prior to that I called 8 dealerships and visit 4 of them and Salem County had what I was looking for and the service was exceptional, i was honest with Ron that if he made me offer without back-and-forth negotiation that I will drive and buy a car which I did. When I asked about details and the car and I was promised call back within 10-15 min - which he did , not like most dealerships when they over promised to get you in the showroom and when you get there they have no idea what they selling and dont know about any offers or interest rates until they look at the papers. It felt like they didnt study at all about new product or inventory at the locations. I will highly recommend Salem county Volkswagen and specially Ron Kincaid as a sales person. Thank You.
