This is for PetSmart Howell NJ I attempted to get information on two training collars so I could decide and purchase one of them on my visit. The first employee flat out told me she didnt approve of the training collars and recommended training instead. Though I appreciate her interest in my dogs training, I advised her I would still like to talk with someone about the training collars. The second employee (Store Manager April), looked as though I was bothering her, advised me training was recommended before the collars. I explained weve worked with her a bit but further correction was needed. When I asked if one of the collars was vibration only or shock and vibration, she explained it was "Basically the same". When I told her vibration is not the same as static shock, she replied with "its basically the same" again (with a look of disapproval that I was interested in a training collar). She then proceeded to explain again training classes should be done first since the training collars could create an aggressive dog. After practically begging to purchase this training collar and repeatedly being told training classes were recommended first, I gave up and left made to feel like a horrible human for even attempting to purchase this product. All I wanted was information so I could decide between Vibration or Spray so I could purchase it! I called the store after leaving to share my horrible experience with the store manager, only to talk with April and get the response "Im sorry I made you feel that way but training is recommended before trying a collar". I will note that I feed 6 animals Blue Buffalo and spend thousands of dollars a year in food, accessories, small animals, and fish from your stores. After todays experience I will no longer be a patron of PetSmart, as well as share my horrible experience with all my animal loving friends that shop there.

I went to PetSmart to buy a few fishes for my new aquarium. The employee there, Jessica, was VERY RUDE. It was New Years Eve and she acted like something terrible just happened to her or something. She repeatedly told me the same useless information that I kept telling her I knew, and refused to sell me fishes. It sound more like she just didnt want to get to work. She finally got the fishes for me after I repeatedly told her I will not return any fishes. I would not had gotten fishes that day if it wasnt getting late and I was going away the next day. She did not know how to get fishes out of the tanks, and I seriously thought she was going to kill/hurt most of the fishes with the way she was treating them. She also splashed aquarium water all over me, and did not apologize or anything. It also took her forever because she had no clue what she was doing. In the end, she gave me fishes of very different sizes and some with broken fins. She also did not count them right. I kindly asked her if she can change out one fish that was significantly smaller than the other fish of the same type, and of course the one she replaced really isnt the similar in size to the other fishes of the same type. Seeing how she was treating the fishes, I got worried if I asked her for anything else she would kill/hurt the fishes, so I just left it. The cashier at checkout was nicer, but clueless. Some of the fishes died by the time I got home. I do not recommend this place at all. Prices might be right, but you get dead fishes and fishes with broken fins, so its not worth it at all. If you have to come here, and make sure Jessica is not the one helping you get pets. She will hurt the poor things.

Walked around for 10 mintues looking for help and unable to find any. Contacted cashier who told me someone would be with me. Watched as he sat there no call or radio or anything and after another 5 minutes walked out Walked right by him and he didnt even acknowledge me. Went up the street to Petco and had zero issues.
