I walked into this store one day on a whim with my (at the time) girlfriend just to get an idea of what type of ring she wanted. We met Eric who helped answer some questions and let us go on our way, without any pressure. I emailed him a few days later with an inquiry and he helped me begin the process of looking for a ring. My girlfriend wanted a vintage, emerald cut ring which I was having trouble find. After coming up empty on our search, Eric helped me to design a ring that would be exactly what she wanted. Him and I sent dozens of emails back and forth (as I was in Manhattan so coming in to the store all the time was not an option). I had a ton of questions and switched my ideas a few times and Eric was more than accommodating. He gave me great advice and tips to help steer me in the right direction. After getting a few stones in to choose from and helping me pick out a band, I ended up with the perfect ring. My fiancé absolutely loves it and she gets compliments on it all the time. Eric was very patient and helpful throughout the entire process. It took a little while for us to find the right ring, but once we did, he had it in the store very quickly and in time for the proposal. I could not be happier with my decision to get a ring from here. I had no idea what I was doing at first, but with Erics help, I got the perfect ring at a very fair price.

This was the best most personal jewelry store I have ever been to! I purchased my finances engagement ring with Eric. He walked me through the entire process and we designed the most beautiful and perfect ring for her. The entire time Eric was very meticulous to get me exactly what I wanted and staying within my price range. My fiancé and myself are very picky and Eric gave me a wide range of options to get the perfect ring design. All of the staff here were always very welcoming and courteous. Always asking me if I wanted coffee or water when I walked in. If there is any guy out there looking to buy an engagement ring and is a little nervous about what to get Walter Baumans is the place to go! I received a great price and what was most important a very personal experience. I also traded in some old jewelry and got the best price for it here after taking it to several other Jewelers. I highly recommend Walter Baumans in Clifton. Eric and the entire staff were amazing!!! We will be going back for our wedding bands.

Above and Beyond extremely fantastic customer service. I came in with a ring to have the diamond set back in for me. Eric the manager not only saved me a trip to West Orange but was able to have it back for me sooner than expected!! Marina who is a saleswoman at the store there with him kindly professionally cleaned a necklace and was able to restore its beauty again along with a silver bangle and was not charged for any of this. ( I was told by other Jewelers that is was impossible to restore it to what it once was~ a gift that was given in the past from a friend and they charged me for not only a service not provided but a very unsatisfied attempt of service ). I have recommended friends to this Jewelry store and they were beyond satisfied with the great service that they received !!! They are always my first and last stop for purchases !!! I had a great experience shopping at Walter Bauman Jewelers. Eric is a very patient, kind, personable person and is not one to steer you in the wrong direction just to make a sale. I had initially gone there to search for wedding bands but in the process I was also looking to upgrade my engagement ring (with the approval of my now husband). I must have sent Eric a million e-mails of ideas of what I wanted the ring to look like until we were finally able to narrow it down to one that I loved. One of the issues we ran into was trying to locate a diamond that would look great with the ring but at the same time not going to break the bank. Eric definitely came through for us as the diamond was beautiful, the size I wanted and fit perfectly with the design chosen. I highly recommend purchasing from Walter Bauman Jewelers as the experience is like no other and they are fair with their pricing. Thank you for your help!

I recently purchased my engagement ring here and the experience, from the customer service aspect to the selection of rings, was perfect. Eric personally addressed each request and concern I had until the perfect ring was found. The store has multiple locations, so if a select item you describe is unavailable at the Clifton branch, Eric will ensure it is transferred as quick as can be and will reach out to confirm with you. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and will go to great lengths to educate on diamonds and bands, which gave me the confidence I needed to make a purchase. There was no pressure or games, just fair deals when compared to other jewelers. I highlight recommend this store for your jewelry needs, specifically engagement given my experience.

My fiancé worked with Eric to create my custom engagement ring, and it is absolutely perfect! Eric helped source an amazing diamond, and worked closely with his designer and my fiancé to create a custom setting, based off just one photo I shared, and ensured it looked amazing from every angle! It took a little while, but it was worth the wait, I wouldnt change a thing! They let me know Im welcome to stop in as often as Id like to have it cleaned free of charge. I also misjudged my ring size and Eric scheduled an appointment for me to visit their west orange location to get it resized right in front of me while I waited, also free of charge. Would recommend them to anyone looking for the ring of their dreams!

My experience working with Eric to design the ring my fiance wanted was fantastic. I knew what I wanted and Eric worked very hard to get me exactly what I wanted and stayed within my price range. Eric texted me updates and communicated on a daily basis to keep me informed on what was going on. My fiance loves her ring and it looks perfect on her finger. I owe it all to Eric and the staff at Walter Baumans. If you are looking to buy an engagement ring, Walter Baumans is the place to go! I got what I wanted! Got it at a great price! Phenomenal customer service from Eric (the manager). I needed an engagement ring on very short notice around the holidays. He went above and beyond to make sure that the ring not only made it in time , but that it was exactly what I was looking for. We went through the whole process of choosing/ordering a stone, setting, etc and I was very satisfied with the service, the price, and the quality. No problem staying within my price range either (as in no high pressure sales tactics, which I appreciate) and a very large selection available. I highly recommend them and I would return in the future.
