So most of the other reviews are good so I dont know if I had a one off experience or if its starting to go downhill but heres my story. I had one of the worst experiences in a dealership I have ever had and I have been in many dealerships. If it werent for the fact that I drove so far and they had the exact car I was looking for in excellent shape I wouldve walked out at numerous points in the process. The salesman Dave was useless. He hung over my shoulder while I was checking out the car and tried to help me with everything I was doing. I had to ask him to stop multiple times before he finally stopped "helping" me while I checked out the car. All the answers he gave me were either complete BS or just plain wrong. Instead of saying Im not sure or telling me what he did know he tried to pretend he knew everything and make up some answer and it was completely evident he didnt know anything. This continued into the buying process. I had questions on the forms I was signing and again he knew nothing so every question he had to go to the manager Greg. I felt bad for Dave because I could hear Greg yelling at him every time. I questioned why one of the parts was replaced from the carfax report and even though the service was done AT THEIR DEALERSHIP Gregs response to Dave was "how the hell am I supposed to know?". It was something that was done under warranty so it didnt concern me too much but the level of disrespect to his employees and the lack of caring of answering my question was concerning. Multiple times throughout the process Dave cut me off while I was talking and this irritates to no end but at this point Im like I dont care lets just get this over with. One thing that really bothered me is that I was expected to sign blank forms like limited power of attorneys and DMV forms. After multiple questions to Dave and him getting reamed out by Greg, Greg finally came out to talk to me. The reason I was filling out blank forms was because the guy that does that is not in and nobody knows how to fill them out but I needed to sign them to get the car. I didnt like it but I had no other choice but to fill out the forms. Papers were all over the place and he wasnt sure which ones needed to be copied and how many copies so I wasnt surprised when I found out that there was an issue submitting paperwork to my bank. This took awhile to resolve. The bank blamed the dealership and the dealership blamed the bank so I dont know what happened but it finally got resolved. The issue is that I only heard about it 2 weeks later when I called to check on the status because I didnt like driving with a temporary tag on my car. Dave gave me his expected canned BS answer that hes sure everythings fine but I insisted he check with whoever is doing the process and call me back. On one of the phone calls Dave cuts me off again while Im talking and at this point Ive had enough so I just hang up on him. Sure enough I got a call a few days later that there was an issue. Everything finally got resolved and the cars great but I had to express my terrible experience.

After 2 months worth of car searching and dealing with dishonest, sneaky salesman, it was a breath of fresh air once I went to Burke. I did all my research, knew the car i was purchasing inside out, and knew the price point of which we we looking for. I went there solely for the 2014 Buick Enclave that I saw on a website. Communication began via email and i was in contact with Ned Hood as well as Greg Southward the manager. They provided me information on the vehicle and we set up a time for me to go and see it. I live in Mount Royal so it was risky to drive all the way to Cape May, but I felt it was worth it to see this car. Ned greeted me and we didnt waste any time, we headed out for a test drive. Afterwards, we discussed trade-in and price of the car. "The haggling" was essentially non-existent. It was almost as if i was just discussing the price of the car with a regular ol joe, rather than a car salesman that was trying all his tactics to get us to pay top dollar. He was flexible in meeting my needs for the vehicle price. The entire process of: test-drive to car price and deal was about an 1hr. Pretty much a record based on previous experiences. Being a female you expect to be looked down upon or looked at as if you dont know what youre doing. It was not this way at all. I felt respected and treated well. I felt ZERO pressure and comfortable. Ned was WONDERFULlto do business with and i HIGHLY recommend him. Greg, the manager, wasnt stiff and uptight. He was laid back and didnt try any gimmicks. There was no back and forth 50 times but rather right to the point. It was the best car buying experience Ive had and i have already told everyone i know that when they are in the market for a new car to go see Ned Hood at Burke Motor Group. You wont be disappointed!

This is a most unfortunate and unusual situation for which our dealership apologizes. It is our understanding that until very recently, GM did not offer or endorse an OEM pre-fabricated brake line kit for this customer’s heavy duty vehicle. In order to provide the customary warranties provided from GM and this dealership, it was necessary for us to purchase hydraulic line stock and custom bend each line to fit the particular application of the vehicle. This was very labor intensive, although it produced a level of quality and reliability that justified full parts and labor coverage’s. This was not the case for lesser priced non-OEM aftermarket “kits”. As you might imagine, the dealership had justifiable concerns about offering lesser grade brake products to customers although we understood the competitive price disadvantage of the situation if GM OEM warranties were not preferred. The customer did not repair the vehicle at our dealership. Our knowledge of the resolution of this issue is imperfect since we do not know what the final cost was to the customer or the source of parts and warranties employed. However, as a result of our investigation into this matter we are now aware that GM is offering pre-fabricated OEM lines for the customer’s product. Had we been aware of that recent development, this unfortunate matter would not have occurred. In conclusion, we share this customer’s distress in this case but emphatically disagree with his assessment concerning our dealerships character which we believe is vindicated by hundreds of thousands of loyal and satisfied customers over our 100 years in business. Sincerely, R.M. Burke III President

I live in Massachusetts but saw that Burke had a used make/model car with the options that I wanted, so I reached out to them. They made a video tour of the car and sent it to me so that I could see it in more detail since I wasnt able to visit in person right way. I had vacation plans in southern NJ a few weeks later and looked at the car in detail then. I was a little disappointed to find the car dirty and the low gas warning light was on when I went for a test drive (considering that they knew I was coming that day), and I found a few smaller details that needed to be taken care of ... but they wound up quickly fixing those and they detailed the car nicely before final pick-up. Id also recommend shopping around for financing before committing to any rate offered by a dealer (not just at Burke ... do it with any dealer). I ultimately financed through Burke, but only after shopping around first and finding lower rates, and then Burke ultimately found me an even lower rate based on that. Overall, the experience was positive - they were friendly and attentive during the shopping / buying process - and I feel that I got my used car for a fair market price given its condition. They even helped to make sure that I had everything I needed to easily register my car back in my home state when I returned - any help making a trip to the DMV/RMV easier is appreciated. Id certainly recommend looking into Burke if youre in the market for a vehicle, but be a smart buyer and do your homework regardless of what dealer you choose. Ive only had the car for a few weeks now, but so far Im enjoying it a lot.
