Its unfortunate that zero stars isnt an option, because one star is far too charitable. Ever seen a depiction on a television sitcom of a sleazy car salesman? Elite Nissan of Bergenfield is where those tv writers go to get their source material. Really, if they werent trying to scam people out of their hard-earned money, it would be comical. But there was nothing funny about my experience with these shysters, and specifically pushy "senior salesman" Mario, apathetic and dishonest "Internet sales manager" Alex, greasy-haired glorified falafel vendor/sales manager Amir Bahreini, and the vulgar senior manager, whose name escapes me but looks and talks like a Soprano. These men will say anything to get you into the dealership, they will say anything to get you to remain in the dealership, and they will say anything to get you to take a car from the dealership. Only everything they say is a lie, and the deal youre offered at first is never the deal youre offered in the end. Complain that they werent honest with you and theyll blame you -- angrily -- for the confusion. And that was just MY experience. In one of many stomach-churning episodes I witnessed at Elite, I listened as a very nice family at the desk next to Marios attempted to purchase a used car for cash. You could tell that these people, who didnt speak English well, were people of limited means and that the $9,000 theyd saved for a car was a significant sum for them. The salesman, whose name I didnt catch, told them, "Im not going to sell you the car for cash because someone else will just come and finance it." The family was obviously disappointed." "Come on," pushed the salesman, "Why dont you just finance it? The interest is low, and youll build credit! Youll have excellent credit by the end! Is your son going to go to college? The credit will help him a lot!" In other words: "Im not going to let you have this car unless you finance it, which means more money for me and less for you, even if it means tricking you." Im begging you, heed this warning and the other warnings on this site and all over the Internet. There are so many reputable car dealers in New Jersey. Dont give your hard-earned money to these people; they dont deserve it. Avoid "Elite" Nissan of Bergenfield as youd avoid the Zika virus. Go to a large, reputable Nissan dealer with good customer service and a reputation to protect. P.S. After this experience, I bought a Honda from a large, high-volume dealership that gave me a great price and treated me with respect. Im a retiree in my 70s and Im not going to let myself get robbed even if these dealers like Elite Nissan think Im an "easy target."

The people at Elite Nissan are totally unprofessional and will lie to your face. Really wish I read the yelp reviews before I decided to get a car from Elite Nissan of Bergenfield. I agree with Mike P. & Kean C on yelp. They are totally unprofessional and will lie to your face. I leased a Nissan Rogue and sold my Prius and was supposed to get $3000+ back from Nissan Bergenfield. Two months later, I still do not have full payment. I even called Nissan Financial and told them my situation. They said the dealership should have paid me in full a week or two after the transaction and tells me to check with the dealership - which I have! MANY TIMES!!! These past two months, I have called Elite Nissan of Bergenfield numerous times - every time the reps (sales guy, manager and the finance guy) would say theyd check and call me back, which they never do. Since Im getting nowhere over the phone, I have gone to the dealership four times asking where my check is. Every time, they say they dont have the check, because "the boss isnt here to sign it" and "will work on it and call you back." There is NO WAY the owner hasnt been there in two months to sign checks. I guess its easier to blame the owner who is supposedly MIA all the time than themselves. Theres only so much dicking around and lies I can take before I lose my patience. Its been almost two months and last friday I was in there asking for my check yet again. They finally gave me a partial check and said Id have the rest on Monday and will call me when its ready. As usual they lied and didnt call me back on Monday, so I went in again today (tues) and now theyre telling me Wednesday because "the owner hasnt been around." Im sure you get the picture how they are dicking me around. Seriously, how many phone calls and visits do I have to make to get paid for my car??? This is just beyond ridiculous. If I knew they were going to be such a nightmare to deal with, I never would have dealt with them. Ive been dealing with their B.S. for two months now. Its been nothing but frustrating and the transaction is still not done. Supposedly, theyll "have it tomorrow" but Ill believe it when I see it. Ive heard that line many times before from them and theyve all been lies. Also, the day I signed the deal almost two months ago, my sales guy and the manager asked me to give them all tens (perfect review) on the Nissan Corporate Survey, and specifically told me to not write they had asked me to do that. Yes, they actually had the audacity to ask me that. Save yourself the frustration and nightmare experience. If you want a Nissan, go to a different Nissan dealership.

I wish I read the ratings before I went to this dealership. Literally sat at this place for 2 hours and was at the end of making a deal till they increased the price in the end. I contacted this store based on a truecar estimate which they verbally over the phone said they would honor. Original interaction with the manager, sales representative was great until it came down to deal time. The value of selling price increased by 1000 at the very end. Sales person came with a final price, We agreed based on truecar estimate. We were interested in 0% financing, nowhere during this was the additional $1000 mentioned. Sales rep offered the negotiated rate with 0% finance. The very end of the deal literally doing the math with the sales person, we were ready to sign. (Side note: Sales rep was rushing the entire time and kept asking for check, and wanted his down payment. We didnt meet with a the finance manager, he kept telling me it was simple math and he can show you how its done) Until he meet with two of his managers who you literally heard screaming at him in their office because sales rep never mentioned the additional $1000. Which means the sales rep and I were on the same page. The managers were all on a different page. The manager showed up at our desk and said this is not the value and adds $1000 and says he can only sell us the car for the additional $1000 value. Mind you, the sales rep on the contract wrote the total selling price with tax, registeration fee with the original agreed cost. Manager kept saying the original value doesnt say 0% finance and then we showed him what the sales rep wrote on the side of the contract, "$$$$$ with 0% financing for 60 months" and he says he cant accept this deal. Manager was proven wrong but felt as if he had the right to call it off just cause he could. I wouldnt recommend their business with all of my friends, family or even enemies. Only cause this place seemed disorganized, rude and unqualified to run a business where they dont stick to their word. If the price increase was mentioned before a contract was written up, I would have settled but literally they came to the very end where I had a down payment amount written for them said btw theres a slight increase in the price. Very unprofessional.
