This review is to inform people of the situation that has still as of 4/8/13 not been resolved. I mailed the following to Honda of Nauet on January 28, 2013 and received promises things would be resolved... they havent. Since owning this vehicle the temperary paint they used to touch up rust marks in order to sell has begun coming off leaving the vehile looking terrible! I have also not received the reimbursment for registering my car through them! 4 months after they said the check was already in the mail! Liars! I would not recommend this dealer to anyone! This letter is to demand two items from your office. First, a letter stating that I do not owe nor ever did owe your office any money. Second, a letter of apology from your office for advising your collection office to harass and insult me. I make these requests to defend myself in the future should this false collection claim remain on my credit history. Since your office falsified the claim that I owed $500, your word that this matter is resolved is meaningless. I purchased a 2003 Honda Accord from your business. I left a cash down payment of $500 on December 24, 2012. I paid the remaining balance in cash when I took ownership of the car on December 29, 2012. On January 15, 2013 I was contacted by your collection agency that I still owed $500. The agent was confrontational and insulting. Your agent stated I never paid the $500 cash deposit, I advised your agent I would provide documents to prove the amount was paid in full. After I faxed the document to your agent, she insisted I wrote on the document to falsify that the deposit was paid on December 24, 2012. Since your collection agent refused to accept the documents were accurate, I had to make several calls to the car salesman and the sales manager before the agent accepted the issue was mistakenly reported to her office. Although I understand this issue is resolved, I have no confidence in your office. Since you passed this to a collection agent, I expect this mistake will erroneously appear on my credit history. To help me defend myself in the future, I demand the two documents. A letter stating that I do not owe your office any money nor did I and a letter of apology for passing this issue to your collection office without contacting me first. My first conversation on this matter was an issue from your collection agent, interesting response two weeks after a sale. I will give your office until February 15, 2013 to return the requested letters or I will take appropriate action.

FRAUD ALERT Went here years ago when I went to purchase a Honda and didnt get a good vibe so walked out. After I recently went here to get my check engine light "fixed", Im glad I did walk out as the service center is run by borderline crooks. Went here because the repair shop I trust couldnt perform the diagnostics so had to bring it here. Diagnostics, basically them to look at it, costs $125. They waive it if you decide to get repairs. They told me they have to replace 2 parts for emissions. The repair shop told me if they wanted more than $350 to take it somewhere else. This was $450 and I needed it fixed right away so I said go fix it. I pick it up same day, but 2 days later the same check engine light comes on. I call the same person I dealt with, he never picks up my 7 calls and after 5 VMs, only one of which was returned, I was sick of waiting so I just brought it in without an appointment. After they looked at it they told me that spiders (yes, actual Arachnids) had crawled into the charcoal canister not once (originally) but twice (just over the weekend!). I was skeptical but have heard stranger things and gave them the benefit of the doubt. They also told me I needed $2000 in extra repairs, 2 of which the brakes and bushings ($1100) had to be replaced immediately. Brought it to my repair shop, they said NOTHING was wrong with my car and that the brakes might have to be replaced in a month or 2 (at over $200 less). They laughed when I mentioned the spiders and said that my charcoal canister, which HN claimed they replaced twice, hadnt even been changed (this repair shop charged me nothing, btw). Thought about calling them up and reading them the riot act but what would that accomplish save for making my blood pressure rise. Ended up paying $550 for those 2 parts including $375 for labor for 2 parts that I was later told took a few minutes to to replace. Lesson learned. Borderline crooks, very untrustworthy and not competent to boot. EDIT 7/11/13: My check engine light went on again approximately 2 weeks ago. Gonna bring it to mechanics I trust and who arent CROOKS. Oh wait, I guess its the "spiders" again. The guys at Honda of Nanuet are unbelievable.

I had an EXCELLENT experience with Honda of Nanuet from the beginning to the end. Car shopping is something that I do not like to do because I always feel under pressure by a pushy salesperson. The experience I had yesterday was the complete opposite of what I expected my shopping experience to be. Everyone was very helpful and I did not feel under pressure AT ALL. I walked in yesterday and leased a 2013 Honda Civic LX and it was sitting pretty in my driveway by 5:30 pm yesterday afternoon! Everyone I talk to cant believe that I went there yesterday late morning, and came home with it the same day. My experience started with a very nice girl, Melissa Rivera in the internet department who got me in touch with the sales manager, Jay Milich who was a very pleasant, helpful man who listened to and answered all my questions. He gave me a quote over the phone which I liked since other dealerships said I wanted a quote I really needed to come in. I then came in to the dealer to test drive the vehicle and get more specific with numbers. Jay introduced me to a nice salesman, Robert Dessau He was very helpful in getting me the right fit for what I was looking for. It was very nice talking with him through the experience. When I went to take a test drive, he handed me the keys and let me go on my own. Other dealerships did not let me drive the vehicle without the salesperson riding along which bothered me. I love to be able to test drive a car as if it were mine and it doesnt feel the same having test drive it with a stranger sitting next to you. Robert helped me work on some figures as he then introduced me to the business manager, Glenn Reggio. He was wonderful!!! Very nice guy. He really worked hard to help me get an affordable lease agreement. I believe he truly went the extra mile. Everyone who helped me with my experience at Honda of Nanuet went the extra mile! I highly recommend each person who contributed to my great experience. I LOVE my new car and I deserve it! I love how it handles and how it looks. Blue tooth is standard and is very clear. The rear view camera works great. I am very satisfied with it and it is a great feeling!

My family went to purchase a pre-owned vehicle at Honda of Nanuet. After the purchase, the salesman (Jerry) informed us that it will take a few days to prep/repair the car before delivery. This was on a Monday. We communicated with Jerry everyday of the week through Thursday, and everyday he stated the car would be ready on Friday. On Thursday of that week, we sold our old car before we picked up our newer car the following day. When we arrived at the dealership, Jerry informed us that the car we purchased was no longer offered as they could not repair the car. My simple question is, why didnt he call to inform us that on Thursday before we sold our old one? Now we are here at this dealership without a car, and one simple phone call telling us the car was no longer offered would have made life easier. After complaining to the sales manager, Jerry said he would have the car fixed no matter what. The following Monday Jerry calls us and tells us he has great news, he says he just received a trade in of a Honda CRV and they are willing to give it to us at the same price as our previously purchased car. He told us this car would be ready on Friday as well. We communicated with Jerry throughout that week as well, every time we talked we were assured that the CRVs price was the same exact price as the previous car. On Thursday of the second week we call Jerry to confirm that everything is ready for the pick of our car. On Thursday afternoon, Jerry informs us that he will not be able to sell the CRV for the same price, and that it would be $1000.00 more. So this is two weeks we have been jerked around by this dealership, two weeks without a car. All they do is lie to customers. I would never recommend this dealership or and Penske dealership for that matter.
