Just about the only retailer in NW Nevada that actually sells food grown or manufactured here in the state. Sadly, despite the license plate, we dont grow that much here, but if we do, you can probably find it here. Im passionate about local food and so I make the trip to Reno to shop here almost weekly. Theres a good selection of either local, or organic food. My only complaint is that I wish they would get off the anti-GMO band-wagon, considering what GMOs have done for small farmers. That said, the staff here are passionate and always friendly, and the quality of the products and the information provided about the products is great. They try to do a lot in a small space and I think they do it well.

Excellent produce, meat, and dairy selection. It is a little on the expensive side but so worth it. Also there Co Op made food is quite yummy! The fact that almost all of their offerings are local is reason enough to shop here. They generally care about their community and welfare of the members. They have recently been accepted into the National Grocers Association which has granted them price breaks and coupons making them a much more affordable option. This is the place to go for organic local produce, you cant beat the flavour you get from home grown goodness.

Wonderful service! On the way back to my place, the bag handles broke, so I brought it back. My jar of Organic™ traditional marinara had broken and splattered all over the rest of the contents! They gave my Organic™ produce a luxurious Organic™ hand bath while I waited, and allowed me to pickup a new replacement jar for free. I was halfway expecting them to require me to buy the new jar, but to my surprise this was not the case. I then bought a bottle of Organic™ Crispin to celebrate the return of good old fashion Organic™ customer service. *hic* Organic™

I completely agree with Manny, know your food and know your water. I get my water through the grocery stores, I refill my 2 gal. jugs and I tested the water, its only 14 ppm compared to the water from the faucet, when I tested it, it had 294 ppm. Everyone needs to know their water, its really bad in Reno. Unfortunately Social Security doesnt give me enough to live on and therefore, I am unable to afford the food as its too expensive for me to buy. But those of you that can afford it I think its wonderful especially if you have children.

Friendly local Coop....has great stuff no big corporation feeling...support your local businesses!!!!! Wish they were all Vegan and no murdered tortured animals and stolen milk fluids from murdered babies...and chicken periods....but there are some vegan options at least. Would like to see more info there on how plant based diet eliminate ALL the major diseases and some movie posters and info like Cowspiracy, Get Veducated, What the Health and Plant Pure Nation....more educational tools in general like the coops of yesteryear

Good selection of groceries in a great spot. When I come back to town to visit my family nearby Im always able to get what I need here. Their rotating local beer selection as also provides me with a good taste of whats around since Ive been gone. Always at least a few interesting beers. Theyve also got a great local selection as far as groceries go. Theyve got all the local staples from my childhood in Reno. And, Id rather give my money to a cooperative than a corporation if I can.

Reno is lucky to have such an awesome little co-op! Their selection is amazing, the staff are incredibly friendly (and we were the last people in for the night!), and the overall vibe is spot-on! Not only do they have local options but everything I saw was organic and even their pre-prepared food was all organic, vegan, and made in house! We will definitely be back next time we are near Reno! Down with whole foods!! Support your local (conscious) businesses!

Ive been here twice now and both times Ive seen people tasting the soup straight out of the ladle and then dropping it back in, which is a shame because the soup smells amazing, ha. If youre looking for some quick natural food they have great pre-made meals you can pick up and the rest of their selection is filled to brim with great organic selections. I just cant reccommend the soup =p

went to the co op for the first time about a week ago.... absolutely love how many local vendors they support including meats, produce and so many other things. I became a member-owner my first time there and within the first week signed up to be a volunteer to help any way I can support such an amazing concept that has been around for over a century!!! On my way traveling through the desert, this food oasis helped me with a box of fresh produce, bulk snacks, and deliciously hearty hot soup, all reasonably priced and a helpful staff that obviously had far deeper reasons to provide outstanding customer service than the mere need for a paycheck.

The co-op is a key ingredient in making downtown Reno a totally walkable place to live, providing carefully selected food with a future. The new location carries a wide enough selection to be our primary source for groceries. This is one of the reasons I choose to live in Reno.

The food coop is small, but clean with great selection and good pricing on organic and local produce. They encourage you to bring your own bag but also carry recyclable paper bags for those who dont. Customer service is great and the employee are very helpful and friendly.

They have fair prices, organics in every department - even wine - locally sourced foods and friendly staff. Plenty of options for vegans too. And if you become a member you get 10% of one order each month. I love this place!

Food is always worth the price. I support both my wife and I and we only shop here. So long as you buy the seasonal foods and have a membership the price isnt something to worry about. Wouldnt shop anywhere else!

Great selection throughout the store, delicious prepared foods made with almost 100% organic ingredients, and wicked awesome staff. Cheers to having such a well curated wellness department, too!

Great place. You can really feel the way the owners and employees care about the food. Most of it is pricey, but its well worth it in my opinion. Its all organic, sustainable, and healthy food.

If you need some organic food or offbeat groceries and dont want to break the bank at Whole Foods give this place a try. The selection is modest but the service is very friendly.

I love the Co Op but it is terribly expensive. My first choice for fruits and vegetables and my daughter loves their gummy bears! #biggestlittlecity #thisisreno #livelocal

Great produce and a fairly large bulk section. Prices are a bit high, but the quality can usually match. Staff are friendly and usually helpful.

Very nice selection and the prices are pretty reasonable. Very nice place. They usually have a few beer singles for sale too.
