Bassett Furnitures custom furniture is horrible. We custom ordered a dining room table and chairs, paying close to $4000. About 3 months later we are sitting at the table and hear a crack. One of the legs of a chair just snapped in half. We brought into to the store and they quickly rushed us out telling us to leave the chair in the car (so no one would see the shotty workmanship). After 4 weeks we get a call that the replacement was ready and instead of being able to give us or schedule an actual delivery window we were told that we had to be home all day and that the night before the delivery service would call with a time window. After taking the day of work, the chair was delivered and it already had several nicks in the finish and there was a crack in the leg!! WHen my husband said we would not accept that chair the delivery guy became hostile and rude and literally stomped out of the house like a toddler throwing a temper tantrum. Today I get another call that the second replacement is ready and again I am told that I have to sit around all day and wait for the delivery. They just cant seem to give me a 4 hr window in advance. I was told that I just have to wait and see if they can deliver it during the time I am home and if not, I have to keep waiting around to see if I get lucky and have the delivery driver show up on a day that I am home. This is unacceptable customer service and when I complained to the woman on the phone she pretty much laughed and said there was nothing she could do. Whatever you do, DO NOT EVER try and buy furniture from Bassett. It is overpriced and the supposedly durable custom made furniture is of very poor quality.

I bought a bedroom set from Bassett - it was beautiful. However, within 2 month the mattress began sagging. I contacted Bassett and did not get a response for THREE MONTHS. Finally they replaced the mattress supports - 2 months later it started sagging again. Over the course of the next few months they replaced the rails, the mattress slats, their supports... NOTHING worked for more than 2 months. Then the warranty expired and I never heard from them again. I finally just replaced the whole damn thing. If you want furniture that looks good but doesnt last, this is the store for you.

I never went into the store, I purchased the furniture online during a flash sale (sofa, love seat, and 2-chairs) got a very, very, good deal. I watched the video on how the furniture was made, and was sold. So far Im very happy with my purchase. The deliver guys were also amazing, had me set-up in less than 1/2 hour.
