I called Ashley Furniture to check availability on a specific item. Spoke to a very friendly and informative sales person. So, my husband and I went to this store on a recommendation of a friend for a couple of glider/recliners with hopes of finding other pieces to furnish our new home. I asked for the specific sales person that I dealt with via phone. We were impressed by our sales persons friendliness, "no pressure" attitude, and knowledge of the products sold in the store. Luckily, we went during one of their big sales (Labor Day) and we found furniture to furnish our bedroom, formal dining room, kitchen, and living room for a great price including a "one time" delivery fee and warranty. We were excited!!! We scheduled the delivery for right after we got the keys to our new house. I even went back to Ashley 2-3 days after the 1st purchase to buy additional pieces in fear that some of the coordinating pieces may be discontinued. And so it began...the HORROR!!! The customer service department called to confirm delivery, then called to reschedule because some pieces were on backorder indefinitely. I have to say that the Ashley customer service department and store managers for this location are "TERRIBLE"!!! I cant tell you how many phone calls were made or how many times I cursed at them for the "run around" that I was given. The delivery guys are great!!! They are cautious, courteous, and have a keen eye for details. My first set of delivery guys pointed out a flaw in one piece and set up an appointment for the furniture tech to come evaluate and repair the flaw. Another delivery of furniture was made weeks later after several irate phone calls made by me. Upon delivery of one of my tables, when the protective packaging was removed it left markings. I pointed this out to the delivery guy and he made note and I also called to make note and to schedule it to be evaluated/fixed. When the tech came out to the house, he told my husband that he didnt want to apply anything to it, but that it would wear off over time and cleaning. When my husband told me this, I was PEEVED!!! I called customer service and told them that this evaluation was unacceptable. I spent a great deal of money on several pieces to hear that it would wear off over time/cleaning. Scheduled a tech to come out again. In the meantime, after nearly 3 months, my final delivery of furniture was made. I called to add some items to be addressed by the furniture tech and they had NO record of a call/appointment for evaluation being made. MORE CURSING from me. I got an appointment for after the New Years holiday. This tech that came out to our house, was fast, friendly, informative, and knowledgeable. I even pointed out a leg on my sofa table that had cracked after settling. He ordered a new leg that he quoted would be delivered in two weeks. I got it in one week. He fixed my pub table in seconds. I was SO peeved and happy at the same time to see how simple of a fix it was and how mad I was at the inexperienced tech from a previous visit. Overall, the buying experience , delivery guys, and the "one" repairman were GREAT!!! If I hadnt fallen in love the pieces I bought from Ashley, I would have returned it all. I wish I had read the Google reviews before I went to Ashley Furniture. If youre willing have promises made not met, not in a hurry to receive purchases, or appreciate rude and horrible customer service then Ashley Furniture is the place for you to shop. Otherwise, Id buy furniture elsewhere.

Bought a couch and it was delivered with a scuff mark on a piece of it. I have had the couch for 6 months and I am still waiting for them to fix it. Called right after the delivery they said they could schedule someone to come out a month later. He came out and failed to fix it properly. Had to send pictures to corporate and then they decided to send someone out again...another month later. Finally they decided to reupholster it. Had to wait another 2 months for the fabric and schedule the guy to come out again yet another month later and it still has yet to be fixed. They have 2 guys for 3 states so if you ever have a problem you better not have a rush for it to be fixed because its not going to happen. UPDATE TO MY 12 MAR 10 REVIEW. I bought the $1500 sectional on 3 Sep 2010 and its almost 1 Nov 2011 and the item still has yet to be fixed. I asked them to replace the item the day they delivered it and they said they had to try and fix it before they would take it back. So far they have tried to melt the leather to cover the scuff mark (that their delivery people damaged) which of course looked like ***t. They have ordered two replacement parts which the color doesnt match and mine may no longer be made. This has been going on way too long with over 25 phone calls, numerous hours waiting on hold, and having to send them pictures and emails before they would even send out a person (which they still have only 2 maintenance people for three states, so minimum wait for them to come out has been a month). Im a military guy and I will probably be onto my next duty station before they get the item fixed. Dont waste your time or money like I have.

Seriously the best experience I have ever had buying anything. Just moved to Vegas from out of state and an apartment of 550 sq ft to a 2300 sq ft house and wanted new furniture and a new bed. I wanted a tempurpedic but wasnt sure which one. Really took the time to show us all of them, different foundations, pillows, covers, etc. I went with the King size breeze 2.0 that had the firmness and cooling feeling that we desired. We had found items on the website that we wanted for a long time but Paula A and her Managers Marcella and Alex were even able to beat those deals. So not only did we buy the bed and mattress but we ended up with living room furniture and additional bedroom items. In regards to Paula A, there was no hassle, no hard selling, just extreme professionalism and a sincere desire to help. She made the entire process quick, easy, and stress free. She explained all of the products, warranties, and options that we had. She was so patient with out redundant questions and we left feeling valued and happy with our purchase. My only recommendation is go to this store no matter where you live. We had a great experience in Portland, OR when we were just shopping prior to our move. Paula A we appreciate you and all your help. We will see you again when we are ready to furnish other rooms.

LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE: Let the buyer beware! If you’re planning of buying from Ashely Home Furniture, please make sure you know exactly what you’re getting into. I am both upset and dumbfounded at Ashley Home Furniture. First issue: A few months ago I bought a television stand and dining room table and chairs from Ashley Home Furniture in Fort Worth, Texas. The television stand was broken when the furniture was delivered. I called and was told that they would replace it. Two weeks later, the second television stand was delivered, but this time was missing parts. Upset, I called and they said they would replace the television stand for the third time. Second issue: The finish of the dining room table that I bought is of such horrible quality that anything I place on leaves a mark. I called and the manager said that heat damage is not covered by that warranty, and it was not a manufacturing fault. I disagree with the manager because failure to properly finish a wooden product is a fault in the manufacturing. The finish was not properly applied. So, in a nutshell, the furniture was not quality made, the store does not honor its warranties, and the manager was essentially rude. For better quality furniture, go to Big Lots or Wal-Mart.
