Its a Hy-Vee, and thier company standards are consistently high. This location is THE high end grocery in town. I want to give special kudos to the meat department, who not only serve hordes of people all the time, but also do excellent custom butchery when asked. I got a fantastic standing rib roast from them, and some custom cut steaks that were amazing. The bakery cupcakes are to die for, as are their various fancy bread loaves. The floral shop does great arrangements, and have also done some very nice custom arrangements for me. Overall, a really, really, nice grocery store, whos only drawback is its popularity, meaning sometimes it is REALLY crowded, even for such a big store.

Hy-Vee is fantastic. I lived in Frisco, TX for years and got spoiled with Market Street, Tom Thumb and Whole Foods, and other grocery stores. Hy-Vee is a wonderful midwest version of the best parts of these. It has amazingly fresh meat and seafood (yes, seafood! in Nebraska!), fruit and vegetables, has a well stocked liquor store if thats your thing, and a really fantastic Market Grill restaurant which we love for sushi (yes, very good sushi in Nebraska!! I spent a year and a half in Seattle so I feel I have a good frame of reference). Add to all that simply top-notch customer service, and I dont bother doing my major grocery shopping elsewhere.

Amazing! This review is specifically for the catering dept. Trish is outstanding! Not only did we have a wonderful meal for our wedding, which almost everyone had commented telling us how great it tasted, she helped keep me calm due to an unfortunate attendant at the venue the evening before when setting up. I can honestly say Trish was by far the greatest person we dealt with throughout our entire set of vendors for our wedding. I have since had other meals HyVee has catered and they are at the same level as our wedding meal. People if you are looking for a caterer- Hyvee should be your #1 choice!

My husband and I shopped here while staying in Kearney for a few days. We were very impressed with their selection of organics. They have a whole section devoted to it, plus there are plenty of choices in produce as well. We also noticed they have an amazing array of fresh-prepared take out food. It was a nice place to shop--very friendly and the prices were reasonable as well. We will definitely be back next time we stay in town.

Big, clean store with a wide variety of selections. The restaurant and deli food is delicious, but can be a bit pricey. Worth it in my opinion. Sometimes it can be a bit busy, but not usually a problem. They offer fuel saver options, free samples occasionally, and great customer service. One of my favourite places to go.

Might put some local options out of business...its a supermarket with fresh produce, seafood, meats, a deli and a few proses food options. A liquor store and a restaurant are connected with indoor access to the grocery store. Its even rumored to have dry cleaning.

I absolutely love hy- vee. The organic/health food section is big enough to be its own store. The cheese island is incredible. Plus they have an amazing deli, a bakery, meat market, and many hot food restaurants inside. Great store!

This is a great addition to Kearney. They have high quality food in the deli and bakery as well as a well organized and always clean store. They also have grab and go food and a full service restaurant with great food.

Excellent selection here! Large store with a fantastic spirits/wine area, and the deli offers pretty much anything you can think of. We stopped here while traveling and wanted to stay longer just to look around.
