I love whole foods in general. This review is solely for this location. My boyfriend and I live in Austin and recently went on vacation in San Antonio. We are frequent shoppers at all of the Austin locations and have always been treated with respect and always have had great service. While at this location getting snacks for our trip we noticed that we were being looked at a little different than usual, no big deal over all. We left and decided on our way back home to stop by and do our regular grocery shopping before heading home. Again for some reason we got very strange looks from the staff like we did not belong in their store. We were followed our entire time shopping, which was about an hour. I am not sure if they thought that we were stealing or what their deal was. We even had an older women comment on how many times they asked if we needed help. She told us that she had been there 3 times that week and never once was asked if she needed help. I love being asked if we need help but when it is over 12 times in one hour it is a little annoying. We ended up leaving with about 1/3 of what we normally buy because of how uncomfortable they made us feel. I guess we are just used to shopping at places that embrace their younger shoppers and not places that treat them like thieves.

I am a frequent Whole Foods shopper due to several food allergies. I tried this location today with the hopes of getting a sandwich or something from the deli. It is a small store so they have a very limitied selection to begin with. Their hot food bar is tiny! When I ordered a sandwich on gluten free bread, the lady changed her gloves (which was a great start!) but, then she laid the bread down directly on the counter instead of the sandwich paper so it was instantly contaiminated. There was no option to toast the bread, and gluten free bread falls apart easily without being toasted. Then she used the same knife to cut the sandwich as the other bread. Usually there is an extra knife for GF bread or they will at least wash/wipe off their current knife. I know they are not a GF kitchen but, just little things like this can be changed and make a HUGE difference! The overall friendliness of the staff in no way compares to other stores Ive been in, especially Austin! Ill go back to this store only for items I cant get anywhere else.

Extremely disappointed in the quality of food we received at the pizza/sandwich shoppe. We purchased a slice of pizza, a turkey on wheat and a tuna salad. We also purchased a bag of store made bbq chips. The pizza was terrible and tasted like a dog biscuit. It was bought for my two year old who refused to eat it (how many toddlers refuse pizza?). The bread for my sandwich was stale and hard and the bbq chips were stale and soft. The meal cost us $26.00 and was terrible. I think people are fooled into thinking theyre getting better quality and healthier items here just because theyre over priced. Im was thoroughly un-impressed and left hungry. I was equally un-impressed by the over priced $4.00 bag of marshmallows that were bought for my daughter. Stale and not as tasty as Jet Puff marshmallows. It was fun watching all the customers who felt like they were living healthier lives as they pushed their over priced groceries out of the store.

Dont shop here all too often but when we do its usually at their other location on 1604. Came to this one and were pleasantly greeted. Found a deal in a few meals for the little one and spent a long time looking for falafel. In the UK it comes ready made and in boxes. I thought it would be the same here. Staff were not quite sure what I was searching fir but after asking supervisers and taking time to go through the store we eventually found what I wanted so as far as customer service goes a big thumbs up (I was ready to give up but the staff persevered!!). Not quite happy it comes in powder form and you have to make it yourself but hey ho. Bakery was good and enjoyed the breads (kindly informed without prompting we could take half loafs so allowed us to taste different loaves).

I have never shopped here before, I thought it would be too pricey for a single person on a tight budget, however, I recently started a "real" food diet and needed to find some high omega 3 eggs and grass fed beef. My local sprouts store quit selling the eggs I liked soI found them on line at Whole Foods and decided to give them a try. They had everything I needed, my eggs, some excellent London broil for my beef jerky, produce and fruit. The folks there were very helpful and the entire experience was excellent. I might add that I drove an extra ten minutes to get there and passed at least 8 other grocery stores, would not consider going anywhere else.

Every time they get an employee who actually knows about the products they are selling, they leave or get fired or whatever is happening. Not sure why this is because for their prices, I expect every employee there to be a 5+ year veteran who knows where everything comes from and how to order it for me. Quit letting good employees get away and maybe youd be more successful at this location. So far, its just an expensive grocery store that no one knows how to shop at bc the employees are changed out so often.

I work in the area so I end up going in and grabbing some chicken from the premade food area. Decent chicken, but the Mac and cheese can have more cheese. It was like MAC! ...and cheese... Oh and the staff is super nice. They all have tattoos and I wonder if thats a requirement to work there? Maybe I should ask. But thats not a complaint, I like to ask them about theirs and then they ask about mine and then we laugh and high five while screaming "gluten is sin!" Good times

A smaller selection of produce than at many other stores but consistently high quality. The bulk spice section is tiny and there arent any loose teas at this location. The cafe food is usually very good and many of the other areas from meat and fish to wine are exactly what you would expect from a Whole Foods. On several occasions the lines at checkout have been a dozen customers with only 2-3 lanes open which is, needless to say, frustrating.

Unisex Restrooms, delicious, healthy food, cafe, kombucha, a reliably positive environment, these are a few of my favorite things, and you can find them all right here. I enjoy visiting the cafe. When I just dont know what I want to eat, whole foods always provides me with a healthy choice. Bulk items and veggies to take home are available from the best sources. Whole foods is a food paradise.

The reason for 3 stars is because Whole Foods at the Quarry does not carry Natural Flea Products for PETS. I discontinued "Frontline" Flea Products because of Toxicity. Please provide us with Natural Flea Products because Shipping these or other Products is very expensive, Otherwise, I do shop at the Quarry Whole Foods & Central Market & the Staff always gives EXCELLENT SERVICE!!!
