Where to start...it is not a pawnshop I will visit again and I encourage anyone to stay away. Terrible customer service. Owner ignored me when I tried to talk to him as he went by me then later denied it when I confronted him. Yes ... Confronted him! It was that bad. The young man behind the counter continually turned and spit tobacco in a garbage can while I was talking to him. I have bought and sold a lot of items in pawnshops over the years but have only encountered this asinine rudeness in Helena pawnshops. This owner and helpers behavior is what makes people not want to buy local. I left the store after factually confronting the owner and helper about their rude behavior and unbelievable lack of knowledge. The owner started apologizing when I caught him in some untrue statements. Too late for that! I believe the previous lady whose son-in-law got treated poorly. I went up Cedar Street to the Alias Smith one on corner of Montana. They are worse. OMG! I took the ladies advice and went to Daves Pawn on the Gulch. Great service! Great experience, and the owner, Matt, was friendly, informative, and knowledgeable. He treated the item I was pawning as something worth money (which it is) while the guy at Alias Smith and Jones threw it on the counter and basically said was crap. Lol. Anyway, I highly encourage you to avoid both of those places. They were smug and rude from the minute I walked in.

Take your business elsewhere. Seriously, ANYWHERE but here. Fraudulent and yes the manager is a weasel. Not the cute young one, the older one with the beady eyes. Eventually, he will piss off the wrong person. They tried to keep a family heirloom and say I didnt pay when I most certainly did. He intentionally didnt tell me information when paying the monthly interest. Two weeks after my payment, they drop item. They are dam lucky they still had it when I went back in. Had to pay 3 interest pmts plus principal to get it back when I paid every month on time. Only a liar and a thief would do this to return customers. Never again! Go to Daves pawn where you will be respected and treated with dignity. They also wont sell your stuff if you call and tell them youll be in ASAP. If you are a careless crackhead, Capital Pawn is your place! To the owner: Karma will get you.

My Son in Law pawned his I-Pod to these guys....he is in the military and was called out to do annual training...when he gets back he will get paid...my daughter and son in law both called to ask if they could hold it one more day so he can come in and get it back...not only were they treated very rudely but this store would not let them talk to a manager nor would they extend to the next MORNING when they are going to put out anyway so what really would they be losing? They obviously do not respect the men that fight for us....also have absolutely no customer service skills or compassion for people that are in this position....My advise to anyone reading this...GO TO DAVES PAWN OR ALIAS THEY KNOW HOW TO TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS WITH RESPECT AND DIGNITY! YOU GUYS TRULY ARE A**HOLES!!!

Lots of inventory. Fair prices most of the time (except on video games at times). Blu-Rays they take in could be in better condition. The older guy gives out Tootsie Rolls when you walk in (kinda nice/kinda weird). Didnt appreciate the constant barrage of cursing from the guy in the hat that works there the last couple of times our family went in. Unprofessional.

The owner is a weapons grade cheat, a weasel of the highest order and both his faces will deny it with a smile. Customer service? You must be joking, its at their convenience plain and simple, but be thankful because if you were to ask a flat tire a question about the British Pound, you would find yourself more informed and with better manners.

Great pawnshop, tons of inventory, and always will to deal. Picked up many tools and ice fishing gear way cheaper than new prices. Huge sale every December where the blow everything out the door. A real gem, I stop whenever Im in town.
