I was in this location just tonight, July 24th 2014 at 1am. The girlfriend was there to purchase a set of kitchen knives. Browsing in the movies I find The Big Lebowski amongst the $5 movie bin (confimed purchase) and now here is my problem with this location. At night this specific location has ONLY the "self check out" lanes open which in itself has caused problems in the past with wanting to buy cigarettes and waiting for a woman who has a full cart in the "self check out" with only 3 of these machines on and ready but, I digress the main problem was upon scanning the movie it says "age restricted must be 17 check ID please wait" this person whom I think should be standing behind the "cigarette and alcohol" cash register so people can conveniently wait in line to purchase cigarettes and make transactions much faster. Walks over says nothing to us and inputs her code into the computer, reaches into OUR shopping bags grabs the movie and turns around and says begrudgingly "got your ID" my girlfriend looks in her purse says "no" knowing I keep my wallet in my car (we took hers) say "no I dont have mine either" this old woman then offers no resolution to us as to what is going on. Whilst never making eye contact with us turns and walks away with DvD in hand and says "sorry" leaving my girlfriend and I standing in astonishment as to what just happened. I then say to the woman "what just happened?" She replies "you dont have your ID" So my retort to this is "sooooo... I cant buy the movie???" by this time she is in conversation with another customer who is also having a problem with these "self check out" machines. I then say out loud upset that she just flat out ignored question "so I cant buy this movie because Im so clearly 16?" I myself being 6 foot 4 inches tall, a thick 280 pounds, just as hairy and oh so visually and physically not under 18 but, a 26 year old male. So I ignored it began walking out whilst my girlfriend and I recall the many issues we have had every time weve shopped at this Walmart together and separately I say to her "no Im getting a manager" she walks to and waits in her car. I walk back in and ask a separate employee to point me to a manager I find him. I present to him the same scenario as stated above. This time I reiterate the fact that I work at a gas station were I understand the "we card under 40" policy and ask him "do I look 16?" He says "no" I ask him "do I look under 18?" He says "we card under 40" I then say "you look under 40 but, over 21 am I right?" He says "yes" I respond "I wouldnt need to card you for alcohol. You must be able to see that I am clearly not under 18 can I please buy my movie and go home?" He says "sorry sir we gotta follow policy" I say "dude are you serious? Ive bought cigarettes in many other Walmarts from a person standing behind the register at the cigarette and alcohol line and have never been carded because the person running the register can see that I am not under 18 in anyway. I say "if it is that big of a deal Ill leave it alone and go home" he says "sorry sir we gotta follow policy" I then say "seriously?" and walk away so I guess lesson learned. When buying movies at Walmart always bring your ID if you want the self check out line. You gotta be f***ing kidding people. Put someone behind the cigarette and alcohol line like EVERY OTHER WALMART Ive been to. So we the customers can conveniently make our purchases late at night without the hassle of some haggard old woman who can barely make it over to the machine without holding on to something stable so she doesnt lose her balance. I will be turning this into a formal complaint. Thank you for your inconvenience.

I was sold 6 bags of compost and when I drove to loading area, the store had none in stock. They told me to go to service desk to get my money back which I did. 3 days later I was in South County and stopped at that Walmart to purchase the compost and a bag of peat moss. After paying for the items, I drove my car to loading area and they had no peat moss. Again I was sold an item Walmart did not have and was told to go to service desk to get a refund. This time I had an appointment to get to so I decided to take my receipt after returning home to the St Peters store and get the peat moss there. After speaking to 1 clerk and 3 people identifying themselves as managers, I was told I could not get the peat moss at St Peters because it was not part of their inventory. I asked to speak to the store manager and was told he was gone and I could call him or the retail sales manager on the numbers posted. I tried the store manager first only to be routed to the main number of the store and knowing that manager was not on duty, I tried the number for the retail manager. That phone number ringed endlessly with no answer and no voice messaging. Walmart will return items that were purchased at other stores, but would not refund the money from the South County store nor just give me the bag of peat moss purchased at the South County store. Their answer was to drive back to South County store to get a refund and that manager added that I should have went to the store clerk in the garden shop to get my refund, as though the fault was my own for not getting my refund from the garden center clerk. That manager new that at both stores the garden center clerks told me I had to go to the customer service desk to get my money back. My next step is to write an executive complaint at the corporate level. To date I have not been given the money paid or the item I paid for.

The worst walmart Ive ever been to! (customer service wise) got told at the pharmacy my called in medication was in filling and that it would be a few minutes. I walked around with my 2 year old for 5 minutes came back and they had closed for lunch. Went to check out and no one cared. Came back a few days later (to pick up my medication and a few other items) when i went to the front check out two of the pairs of sandals i had put in my cart apparently didnt have a bar code. was told that I NEEDED to go and get another pair so he could scan them ( he said this to me when my three children under 3 are with me) I told him I couldnt go get another pair so he put them back and finished checking me out. I called the store manager to complain, he told me not to call him again that if i wanted something done, that he wasnt the person to call. Very disrespectful, very rude.. I now never want to shop at walmart again. If you wanted to be treated like dirt, this is the place for you,.
