I took my escape in for a leaking half shaft seal. Something happened during the project that severely messed up my steering wheel alignment. Drove two blocks, turned around, and took it back to align. They put it on the rack and tried to get it aligned but gave up working on it before all measurements were within tolerance. They refused to give me the print out from the alignment computer. Took it for another test drive and this time the steering wheel alignment was out in the other direction so I went back AGAIN. By this time the service manager had "left for the day." Was told to check back the next day. The next morning I went in to get the issue taken care of and the "manager" said it is my word against his and that he says they did nothing to affect my alignment. He refused to look at it again and forced me out the door. This is really unfortunate. Ive been taking both my Ford vehicles here regularly for service the last several years with nothing but the best care and service. I have no idea what is going on here but this is no longer "Friendly Ford." They screwed up a project and didnt make it right. Patronize with care. Update: Right after being told by the service manager that the front alignment was in spec, (without measurements on paper to prove it) and that the rear was so far out of alignment that I would need new hardware to fix it, I drove up the street to the wonderful folks at Mitchem Tire and paid them to do a complete four wheel alignment. As suspected, the front alignment was out of spec (the rear alignment was perfect.). They got me fixed up and out the door within 20 min. No big deal. I then took the alignment paperwork back over to Friendly Ford hoping to speak with the GM. The GM was out of the office so I explained my problem to a fantastic sales guy, David, who really listened, understood the problem, and promised to speak with the GM on my behalf to hopefully make things right and save a customer. I now know that theres at least one guy there to which customer service/satisfaction is vitally important! Thank you, David! Final resolution to follow..... Update: Went back in to speak with the GM and his immediate response was that he had already heard all he needed to hear from his service manager and "didnt care." After an attempt at a conversation about a lack of customer service he finally agreed to reimburse for the cost of the alignment and instructed me to "get out of his office and dont bring in another car." Not to worry, sir. I wont be back. With this kind of leadership at the top it is obvious why customer service in the service department is also a problem.

Horrible service writers still from Un-friendly still there, cheap labor and gouging customers is the game here with service and sales( No different than their Dodge store in springfield , and $119.00 minimum per item checked out is the new Corwin out of town ownership policy. This is truly how to keep the ROI up , cheap labor service writers, hammer the customers for $119 for every problem they want checked out on their car. Who needs professional service writers? Not Corwin. Best part of Corwin buying the 2 worst family owned dealerships in springfield ( that truly are gold mines) is they have collected the worst of the worst sales, finance managers, sales managers , general sales managers, general managers, that work for the least amount of money that Corwin wants to pay. The real reason they bought, these store ,because they know that lessser talented people who cant make it at real dealerships in this area will work for pennies on the dollar in this market, just for a business card ( which Corwin charges them for). Its unfortunate only for the customers, hopefully they (Corwin) will lose market share to Don Vance in Marshfield, and Jimmy Michel in Aurora for all their Ford needs. Hopefully when Corwin gets sold to a real company, eventually it will, the next company will hire people who work in service and sales that are at least professional and paid ,so that customers dont have to drive to Aurora or Marshfield to get Ford sales and service. Im sure they ( Corwin) thought it would be easy to make a big bunch of front ,back end profit and service dept making big money, in this market but again they didnt know that when you hire the worst of the worst because its the cheapest, you get the worst per copy so better increase that pack, and spend more on the wasted ads with zero message. Welcome to Springfield!

My review is more on the service side of this dealership and no Im not talking about sales people here. I bought a 2014 Ford Escape from San Antonio TX I love it and so does my family plenty of room and blah blah not what this about so any ways anytime my car had to be services in TX it was taken car of and so was I they made sure if it was going to be while that i had a car and it was always the same Make that I had so I never had something too small and the work was done in timely mannor. So taking my car in to "FRIENDLY" Ford I had no reason to think it would be any different, I was wrong. Dropped my car off for an oil change recalls and the fact my car was not running right it was not shifting right and shaking badly as it would sit running. Ford said it had something to do with my O2 intake and i needed to come and run the gas out so i did. Turn it back in with an almost emty tank and they said they changed it got my car back a few days later and they told me they thought it was just some bad gas. So i started paying attention to the gas we where getting and it didnt help now to mention my car had an extra 1000 miles on it some how and they returned it still with no gas would have been nice to have enough gas in the tank to get to a gas station atleast. So the issues where still there and i would call many times leave a message and NO ONE would call me back so finally Republic Ford could get me in within an hour i got the info i needed my Transmition had a bad part we are talking about 3 week long fix and surprise Jordan Ford had entered the same code when i turnes it in than why was it "Bad Gas" needless to say "Friendly" will be getting a call from me today and ill sure someone hears about this bull crap

Now its been 3 weeks so wanted to write a review. First if your going to buy a car or truck wait till the last minute and u will get a really better deal. I bought a maxed out Excape and was really took to the cleaners because of not listening to my own mind. Part of it was trusting and listen to their financial person. Wow, did I not get it. I have over easy a 800 credit score and could only get 4.9%. I should have got up and walked then and there. It seems, the dealer ADDS percentage to the loan by using a underwriter not secured loan at the time of the deal. People, ALWAYS get you own loan before u buy. This will end up costing me a extra 3000! Now, I did go and get a new loan but running your credit report twice can hurt u a little so close together. Next shop, shop and shop! Walk and get a apple for apple price before you buy and again, dont buy that new year as they roll off the line. Later they will for sure be cheaper. Like, they are taking another 500.00 off for Black Friday this year! See it pays to wait them out. I sure wish we had and would have done so much better. Again, never trust the guy behind the desk pushing the pencil until you have looked and returned and checked out your options. I could have done better just under 30 miles away. Friendly is not Friendly as far as we now think! I guess we helped pay for that new building. Its a learning curve and waiting pays off on a new car and truck. Good Luck out there and buy very late you will for sure get a better deal somewhere. Happy thanksgiving!!
