Late review but i bought a Nissan Xterra from here about a year ago. At first everything appeared to be perfect.... until the salesman came out he was pushy and rude to my mom who had come with me. I had a terrible experience with him but the car "seemed" to be to good to pass up. Once i bought the car he said he was going to send it to his shop to fix the couple things i had issues with and it should be out in a day. A week and a half later i went to the shop and just asked that i take my car to someone i know and trust where they proceeded to be rude to me there and told me to quit bitching it would get done. After that I was furious and demanded my keys which they eventually gave to me. Once I got my car out of the shop i looked at it compared to the pictures i had taken of it previous to it going to the shop. Only to find out it looks like they had switched out some of the exterior parts with damaged parts. I would not suggest going to them as they are incredibly shady and i would not trust them with any of my vehicle purchases again!

Bought a truck a couple of years back that needed work 2 weeks after purchasing it. Put over $4000 in it and the motor still blew up. Went to John about buying it back. He said he couldnt buy it back but he could sell me new car with warranty that would cover everything to make good on truck. He had new car inspected and passed by Hickmans. However, when I got inspected by different mechanic it failed. Hickmans fixed it but was rude. Took car for diagnostic after inspection and it was rigged so car actually needs over $2500 worth of work that warranty wont cover. Auto shack continues to tell me to take it to their mechanic so he can get more money for stuff he said was not broke originally. They are not willing to help. Screwed me a single mom out of all my savings and I still dont have a decent vehicle. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THESE SCAMMERS!

Some of the cars that they get in they might not even bother to detail. Ask them, they will tell you. I saved money and NADA proved it by detailing myself. They allowed me to check the car thoroughly. I also got a good trade in and the price was negotiable. I had been looking for a Corvette for quite some time and to this day, I still got a good deal. There are more a couple of main guys there and you will know which one is the better one to deal with in the first 5 minute, just personality. People just need to use common sense, some of the higher priced cars are detailed out and are ready to go, others are ready for auction. They do not hide this but you can get a good deal if you catch one before it is sold, they have a pretty quick turn over. No problems with paperwork, etc..

I had found a listing of theirs through Craiglist and between the listing description (great condition, etc) and talking with one of the owners (no smoking in vehicle) I decided to test drive the car. The car was filthy dirty, there was trash inside the car- newspapers, fast food boxes, multiple cups, you name it. And the smoke-free car? Well, that was a joke, it smelled like smoke and there were multiple cigarette packages in the center console. Unfortunately, the car smelled so bad of smoke I had a headache simply after a test drive. Overall, it was a poor experience and I am still shocked that they didnt even make the effort to clean the car. If how they maintain the vehicle represents at all how they do business I would stay away, far far away.

bought 2007 bmw x3 from doug and john..3 days before xmas... trailered it home to iowa.. would not start so bought a new battery... Drove it around town first day maybe 10 miles.. Parked it and gave it as an xmas present.. Day after xmas we went to Marryville mo 35 miles away, put it in reverse to get gas, lost reverse...$3000 to fix @ bmw for the trans, brake pads were shot, so we replaced them @ same time, along with windshield washer pump ... Contacted Doug, zero help.... His answer was "are we supposed to loose money? didnt offer to pay for anything.. Nice guys, that have zero ethics when it comes to business..I would highly recommend staying away from this place...

Went to purchase a car that was for sale $3000 above kbb value. When offered to pay $1000 less than asking price, the salesman took an approach that included insulting me and bringing up prices of other cars that he was planning on selling above kbb prices. Which was inappropriate and irrelevant to the car in question. He then went to go as far as saying "well do you work for free" and that was the point I took my business elsewhere. I would advise you to do the same.

sold my parents a lemon. It was under warranty. Took car to shop had it for several days got it back still running like crap. Supposedly replaced the head or head gasket but they didnt. Soon as warranty was up motor locked up. They refused to make it right. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THEM. Crooks is what they are. Their word aint worth a wet noodle.

Waited a couple months to post a review, just to make sure my toyota had no major problems. Very happy with my purchase, got the fluids (transmission and oil) changed shortly after I bought it just to be sure everything was running smoothly. Love my car and Todd was a great guy. Glad we overlooked some of the bad reviews and got this car.

Before buying this business 2 years ago, I purchased a couple different trucks from these guys and also used them to help me sell a truck. They were helpful and knowledgeable. I have heard horror stories about this place, but I can assure you I have eliminated those concerns after I purchased the business. I am proud to call it mine!

My wife and I just purchased a van recently. The owner was honest and there was no pressure to buy. It was a really good experience and the next time we buy a car we will come back to Auto Shack. I would recommend them to anyone in need of a used car. Thanks Todd!

I have shopped at Auto Shack for years! The new owners seem more helpful and far more patient. Any time I have called with questions or needed assistance they have been very prompt and very willing to help me. Also, when I bought my truck they filled my gas tank!
