I recently purchased a new 2015 Mazda CX-5 for myself and helped my daughter purchase a certified pre-owned 2014 CX-5, both from Mazda of Ridgeland. And my daughter and I could not have been treated better. I had carefully and thoroughly researched the CX-5 so I knew the vehicles and their prices well; I know I got great deals on both. The general manager (Tim Tanner) and my salesman (Chris Carr) provided us with a choice of vehicles at very fair prices. I was very impressed with the selection of vehicles they had in stock including all-wheel-drive models, which I always purchase for added safety. They didn’t pressure us at all, but they were very concerned that we were completely satisfied with our vehicle choices. We financed both vehicles directly through Mazda Capital Services and got excellent rates and terms. The Finance Manager (Jeremy Kent) was very accommodating. Although I was not pressured at all to do so, since I am a risk-adverse person and although Mazda CX-5s have an excellent reliability history (See Consumer Reports), we purchased extended warranties on both vehicles. Mr. Kent and Mr. Tanner gave us significant discounts on these warranties. Customer Service Manager Ross Smith also carefully and competently reviewed with me how to operate the features on my new vehicle. He also personally topped-off the gas tank before I drove off. Even though my new CX-5 has one of the best backup cameras on the market, for an additional level of protection against backing into various objects, I had back-up sensors added to my 2015 CX-5 as an option. Chris Carr coordinated installation of these sensors with his Service Manger (Jimmy Patterson) and his assistant (Susan Glass). Although the installation of these sensors is quite involved, the installation was quickly and professionally done, at a very fair price, with no signs of nicks or other damage. I highly recommend any potential car buyers research Mazda’s Skyactive vehicles as they are class-leaders in value, features, fuel economy, safety, performance, etc. – in my opinion. As a retired engineering manager, I consider myself a good vehicle selector and shopper; I am very satisfied with my selection of the vehicle and even more satisfied with my selection of Mazda of Ridgeland as my dealer. Finally, as you will see, the vast majority of the Google reviews for Mazda of Ridgeland are very positive. However, I know there are a couple of negative reviews also. I don’t put much stock in these negative reviews. I would advise any potential Mazda shoppers to drop by Mazda of Ridgeland and talk with general manager Tim Tanner before selecting another dealership.

STAFF IS A++! Kyle - Sales - Very easy going guy with a no-pressure sales experience. Jeremy - Finance Mgr - Thorough and knowledgeable. Ross - Customer Service Mgr - Extremely nice. Spent a great deal of time walking thru features of my new Mazda 6. Followed up afterwards. Sarah - Service Dept - Friendly and informative. I brought my new Mazda6 in to have a duplicate key made, and she informed me that my car was also supposed to have a spoiler included in the package. Glad she let me know! Jimmy - Service Mgr - Super nice! While I was waiting to have key made and spoiler added, I was asking about places within walking distance (I had already walked around but found nothing open to pass the time). Jimmy insisted on driving me to local store so I could have coffee and a snack while waiting. Thanks!! Another Sales guy - not sure of his name - was very friendly during my wait and also held the door open like a true Southern gentleman. Always appreciated! Did I mention I got a great deal on a 2014 Mazda6? Loving my new car. The only thing that hasnt been fantastic is the process for getting my registration and title. Ive had to handle all of that on my own and it has been quite a hassle. (Although a very nice female on Mazda staff helped me track down info from my lender which was very helpful...I believe her name was Gina?). I live in Louisiana but leased from MS; not sure if that has something to do with why it wasnt done for me and why I am having so much trouble with it. Either way, buying from this dealership was a great experience and I highly recommend them. Emily

We recently helped my mom search for the first car she has ever picked out on her own. After shopping all around Jackson, she chose Mazda. Mazda of Ridgeland made her feel so at ease throughout the whole process. There were no games, everything from the price of the car to the value of her trade was transparent and easy to understand. They didnt use any high-pressure sales tactics and everyone we came into contact with was friendly to a fault. Lawrence, the salesperson was helpful and knowledgeable without being pushy. Kyle, the sales manager made everything easy to understand. Sarah, the technology representative explained all the bells and whistles and made my mom feel comfortable operating the vehicle. They actually made the car buying experience fun - which is no easy task. My mom is thrilled with her Mazda 3 and cant stop talking about how much fun it is to drive. We will definitely make Mazda of Ridgeland our first stop next time we shop for an auto.

I had a very pleasant experience buying a new vehicle from Mazda of Ridgeland and trading my older one in. I told the dealership what model and what features I was interested in and they only offered me cars that were close to my criteria and did not try convincing me to buy another model I was not interested in. There were a a few minor problems (the dealership is staffed with humans after all, not with machines) such as a typo in documents or an accessory I wanted to add had to be ordered and installed later as it was not in stock. However, the dealership resolved those promptly and went beyond what I had expected from them. I had a chance to use their repair shop for minor modifications I wanted and the service was very good. I left a very satisfied customer. I would recommend this dealership to other people for both car buying and car repairs/maintenance as I would continue using their repair shop to service my vehicle..

Do not waste your time nor you money with this company. My wife and I purchased a vehicle from this dealership last year. They were very helpful when it comes to you buying something from them, a little to helpful. My wife just took the car in to have the tires rotated and the oil changed. No big deal, $70. They informer her while she was waiting that we need new tires on the back (I checked the tires last week and they have 60% - 70% tread left) and that they wouldnt touch the old tires unless we bought new ones. How much for two new tires? $568. Also, she needed an alignment and the air filter was completely stopped up (I also checked this while inspecting the vehicle, it was not stopped up) so our grand total for this $70 trip would be $748. This is every time we go in the store but this visit was the straw on the camels back. I will never use this dealership for purchasing a vehicle, servicing a vehicle, absolutely nothing.

I had my Mazda Tribute for 12 years, absolutely LOVED it and did NOT want to get rid of it. However, after 250,000 miles, it was time. Danielle Kom helped me with the process of getting the CX-5 Grand Touring and totally understood my emotional craziness (she even moved my Tribute to the back so when I left in my new CX-5 I wouldnt see it and cry my eyes out!!). Ross Smith was also absolutely wonderful about teaching me all the modern things in my new vehicle. I had already been going to them since their opening for service of my Tribute, so I knew the Service Department was wonderful. Now, I know that the front office is just as wonderful. The entire place is such a wonderful family feeling place and they truly want to do the best that they can do for you. I would definitely recommend them! I expect to be seeing them (well, the Service Department at least!) for the next 12 years as well!
