My kids are getting older and more involved in sports. This place is close to my house so I have been there over a dozen times. One time I had a very helpful young lady who helped get skates for my son. Another time a nice knowledgeable young man helped us with a hockey helmet. The other ten times were not as good. The staff was busy talking to each other or doing something behind the counter, and were put off that I need help. Twice I brought it gear to sell and the price offered was (I believe) excessively low. I figured out that I would be better off donating the gear for a tax deduction. I do still go here, but only in a pinch. I have been to other Play It Again Sports and the prices on gear and trade in ‘s were allot better, as well as the service.

Grossly under trained staff at this location. I went last weekend to buy a pair of hockey goalie leg pads, and needed some help with sizing. The first employee told me that he had no idea about them at all. The second employee -- who was supposed to know more -- told me to put them on the incorrect legs. Apparently there was a manager who was a hockey goalkeeper, but he never assisted. I dont ask a lot of retail employees, but you would think that the employees at a specialty retail store would at least know how sizing works on the products that they sell.

One time, at band camp, an employee from the Roseville store brought hula hoops and dodge balls for us to throw at each other. It was hard to hit someone with a hula hoop, at least accurately, but the dodge balls....Man, that employee, I think Caleb, man could he hit anyone he wanted. Right in the face, too. Then once they were on the ground, he would give them a coupon for skate sharpening. These guys know how to market!!

I love Play It Again, and have been taking my family there for years. In my experience, the staff had been very friendly and helpful. They are very knowledgeable, which is great since I dont know a lot about sports equipment. The store is very clean and organized, and it had a great selection. Overall Im usually pretty satisfied with the prices. Of all the sporting good stores Ive been to, this one is definitely my favorite.

The Manager KONG ZANG is VERY RACIST!!! It was my turn to be served ( I am a black dude) but he served a white customer before me who came 3 minutes after me. HE REALLY DESERVED TO BE FIRED!!!!! He is a BIG LIABILITY TO THE COMPANY!!!! ATTENTION CUSTOMERS: DO NOT EVER BUY OR SELL THERE!!! WE SHOULD NOT ENCOURAGE RACISM!!! KONG: YOU WILL PAY THE PRICE FOR BEING RACIST!!!!

What a great selction of used and new sports equipment! The space is two levels with various sports on the bottom floor and a whole upper level dedicated to just hockey equipment. Prices are responsible and staff is extremely knowledge and friendly. If you are in need of any type of sporting equipment stop here first.

Worth checking here first if you need an item, as you might get something cheap and in acceptable quality. I think their pucks were $1, too (unlike the $2 at Dicks and Sports Authority). Certain things just arent worth buying used, though. Adult sized hockey skates and helmets are usually too...used.

The selection is good, but the staff consists of mainly high school kids who dont seam to care much about what they are doing. I also have young kids and they do not have a restroom in the store, which is a necessity. Their used skates are also overpriced.

I was on the hunt for used ski boots and this location had a very large selection to choose from. I was impressed. Everything was organized well and easy to find.

I love it for getting used catchers gloves for baseball. they will usually have nice gloves that are already broken in.
