I bought four sets of skis from Play It Again Sports this year before the first snow. My wife and I and our 7 year old son and 4 year old daughter. Our kids were going to learn to ski this year. We were able to do this relatively cheaply and conveniently finding everything we needed between the Roseville and Blaine locations. Salespeople were friendly. The equipment was rough, we had to be picky, they obviously get lots skis which were previously used as rental skis, but whatever, buyer beware. I had all four sets of bindings "adjusted" by the ski tech which is located at the Blaine store. My understanding is that any of the Play it Agains ship the skis to Blaine to be adjusted by the "ski tech" there. A month into the season my son fell down and twisted his right leg pretty good, the right ski did not pop off. Neither had popped off all month while he fell numerous times each day. I checked the bindings when we got home: the front and rear binding of the left ski was 2.5 (which was at the high edge of reasonable). The right ski rear binding was set at 2.5 but the right ski toe binding was set at 3.75? It was obvious to me that this toe binding was completely overlooked by the "ski tech". My sons knee still works, I set the DIN myself at 2.0 and we continued on with our season. Two months in, my four year old daughter is getting on the chair lift with us; we have all gotten on the chair lift repeatedly. You can imagine she is on tiny little skis, 80cm, with her DIN set at 0.5 all the way around. They still had never fallen off all season, but she had been fine every time she fell. This time, getting on the chair lift, her ski got jammed between the chair and the ground somehow, the rear binding on her right ski just ripped right out of the ski (she had a harness on with a handle I was holding onto, it all happened very quickly) it just about tore her leg out of its socket. WTF? Why didnt this ski pop off? It was supposed to pop off. That ended the day, she was hurt significantly but was able to walk on it within a day and there is no permanent damage. I replaced her skis with another pair of 80cm skis from Craigslist that are nicer, newer and less expensive. SO.... I almost drove straight to the Blaine store to tell off whomever was unlucky enough to be working there that day. After taking some time I realized it would not accomplish anything. I got myself in control. I called and left a message with the kid working there (it was Sunday, the manage/ski tech was not in). I left a detailed message highlighting my experience. I told him the manager could call me or not when he received the message as he saw appropriate. I told him I was pretty sure they couldnt do anything about it, I just wanted them to know that two out of the four skis I had set up at their "ski shop" were faulty. The guy assured me he would give my message to the manager. I never did get a call back from Play it Again Sports. I guess they didnt care and wanted to pretend I had never called. I gave them the last month to call me back. Today I felt like leaving this review. Both of my children could have been permanently injured using equipment from Play it Again Sports because they either failed in inspection or because they were set up wrong. You pay them $35 a pair of skis. Im glad Im only out the $70 and the cost of the pair of 80cm skis. I will never go there again. Honestly, Ill never trust my ski set ups to anyone else again. Some guy at Play it Again Sports is not a "professional ski tech". Evidenced by the poor results and the lack of response. Simon Bruce

I returned a pair of brand new cleats. Instead of cash back (since I paid with cash), I was issued a check. This is apparently their policy so that they dont have too much cash in their registers. I deposited the check and then promptly shredded it since it went through. A week later, I received a letter from my bank stating I would need to re-deposit the check because it didnt go through. After 2 and a half months of attempting to get this resolved with the store, I was told they would only reissue a check to me if I paid the stop payment fee on the previous check. Mind you, the check total was $48.15. This has been extremely frustrating. The managers did not handle this well, as I had to call several times and talk to 5 different managers before I finally even got a call back. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Was at the Blaine store on Saturday, August 24, 2013. Had an absolutely terrible customer service experience with the weekend manager. So bad that my wife and 11 year old son walked out the door while I paid the bill. I told the manager his customer service skills were terrible. The following Monday I called the store manager to explain my experience and was left utterly flat and actually more exasperated than when I left the store on Saturday. Absolutely pathetic. My recommendation would be to shop elsewhere.

I missed the return/exchange deadline due to a car accident. I called and spoke to Paul on Saturday and he told me when I came in Sunday to talk to Jeff and they would help me out. They exchanged my skis and boots for full credit and found me a set that was easier for me to deal with (a little more $, but well worth it). Thanks guys! Now, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! I will be back!

These Jerkwads Buy and sell Stolen or otherwise claimed property. Im speaking specifically of Disc Golf Discs. they will buy a disc even if it has a name and phone number on the disc. I had my disc bag stolen out of my car, and I found several of my discs at their shop. I complained, They didnt care at all! they wouldnt even give me a discount on buying back my stolen discs. DO NOT GO THERE EVER!

You can expect a very broad array of equipment and desired materials, and when combined with superior customer service and a quality staff, this has become my first choice for sporting goods. Strongly recommend; no hesitations.

They actually talked us out of replacing our soccer cleats, saying they are good and just need to broken into. Who does that now? The guy sat down with us and showed us the right way to size our shoes. Awesome service!

Employees were very helpful. Managers refused to take my shoes for store credit due to slight rips. I went to look at their shoes of the same size and I found 2 PAIRS that were ripped for $10.

I frequently go here, great place for a treadmill or new rollerblade wheels. some of their used equipment can be a little expensive, but Ive never stopped going here.
