Included among my top ten least favorite places to go (like the dentist, the in-laws house, and "third times a charm" weddings), is Menards. Not only have they under-invested in researching how to lay out their store and where to put things so that we all can instinctively know where to look, but it seems like they go out of their way to hire ONLY the people whos sole goal for the day is to NOT help anyone. 1. I can never find what Im looking for. 2. I can never find someone to help me find what Im looking for. 3. And if I finally find someone to help me find what Im looking for, their body language says "I really dont want to help you...Im just here because I have to be....and because Home Depot wouldnt hire me." I would much rather give my business to a locally or regionally owned store over the big box stores — but this is where Ill gladly make the exception and swing on over to Home Depot or Lowes. The owners and regional management need to get their heads in the game and improve things, because going to Menards is a chore, one that Ill avoid at great lengths.

Doesnt even deserve a star(but the website makes a person put something in). I grew up with Menards( a place to get what you need) but this place is sub par to say the least. Dirty, unfriendly employees and worst of all employees that really do not care. Sorry, as a customer, I am inconveniencing you by asking where something is, even though that is your job. Seems their motto is "I think its over in that section." Funny when I was about to check out I say a large pipe cleaner. Made me remind I need to get some, when to the plumbing department (because that is where they "think" more are). The guy in the plumbing department said we dont even carry pipe cleaners. Weird, I just saw some at the cash register. Lousy place. Home Depot or Lowes is the way to go.

Ive been going to this Nards since the 80s. This store has grown and expanded a few times. Its a cool old store, with character and personality. it has everything you need and at great prices. The staff is as helpful as anywhere even the more expensive versions. If you want sanitized and perfect decor in your hardware store you dont know what a hardware store is supposed to be like. The OLD Ace that was in the ex cat house / hotel in New Brighton was a mans hardware store. This Menards is one of the last around that has any charm. boys and fancy ladies might not feel comfortable there. Men will love it.

Vary upset at what happened today when my 3 year old son and husband went to this store. My son got sick and threw up and all the staff just kept staring at them like the world was ending. He tried to ask for help and all the staff were to busy staring at the puke like people dont get sick needless to say he never got what he went there for and I am no were near happy with the staff there. My son came and and felt so ashamed of himself. I had to explain to him that what happened wasnt his fault. Hoping I can get ahold of management tomorrow morning seeing as no one wants to pick up the phone tonight.

The most un knowledgeable staff I have ever ran across at a home improvement store. I was looking for a simple item I asked an employee and he just mumbled and pointed to the other side of the store.. Okay I proceeded to walk to the other side of the store asked another employee they redirected me to the opposite side of the store. I decided to walk over to building materials usually they have a better grasp on items, not at this store they were rude and didnt have a clue. If youre in need of Home Improvement items I would suggest the Home Depot just north on Highway 65 half a mile.

Today I went there to some advice about my kitchen sink. I waited for almost for 20 minutes after they announced for assistance in the department. while waiting I watched the workers gossip and stock the shelves. Once he they were done they came over to help me but with negative attitude. You shouldnt greet customers with "What do you want?". If I didnt have my kids with me it would have been a different story. I thought maybe it was just that department plumbing but as I went over the cleaning supply I was greeted the same way. So I took my kids and went to Lowes.

I love Menards but this one sucks. You ask someone where something is and they say “I think….it’s over in... ummm..... If they say it is in the S building then you know for sure that it is really in the North building. Back and forth, back and forth. Mr Menards was too cheap to re-route a gas line that runs between the buildings so that you could build a real Menards store in this location. The lady with the high pitch voice was very rude to me! I’ll go to another Menards or HD/Lowes instead.

I shop Menards alot, and I must say I love it. I have been going to this particular one for at least 10 years. Have a great selection of products and better prices. I do think some employees could be better trained. I have been to the Blaine location and yes their employees are very knowledgeable and want to help customers. All in all, I have had great service at fridley location also. All depends on the knowledge of the employees in the different departments. I will always shop Fridley Menards.

Note, theres two different buildings here. The south one is appliances, trim, doors, etc. The north one is everything else, with gardening between them. Theres a huge selection with decent prices. I would be wary of their delivery service though. We had a dryer delivered but they ruined the floor. After talking with the manager for an hour we final proved to him that it was done by the delivery (in a new home). Well have to now get it replaced right after moving in.

We had a list of items to find on the USA sale. Bill asked if we were able to find everything - he walked us around the whole store to find all the items on our list. Not only was he professional, but he was super friendly chatting with us about our weekend plans while he shopped with us. We have always traveled out of our way to go to this location because of the great customer service. Thank you Bill for making our trip a great one!
