The customer service is poor. This is my local store and there is never anyone in the departments especially plumbing to help. Everything is put up so high that you cant reach it. My most recent visit 4/13/12, after selecting my items, I went to the cashier to check out. The same cashier was working the line I was in as well as the return line. A gentleman walked up to return something she turned to me and said "I will be with you in just a moment", now keep in mind that I had already been in line and at the counter when the gentleman walked up. I spoke up and said I was here first, she acted as if she could not decide who she was going to wait on first. If the gentleman had not spoken up saying that he did not mind that he had just gotten there she had planned on making me wait. I am "Black" and both the cashier and the gentleman were white. This is not the first time that this has happened to me at this store (Fridley). There are very few if any "Black" employees at this store. I am also sending this same message to your corporate office. I would much rather shop at this location because it is close to my home, but I will not put up with being treated this way!!!

I love to do my shopping in this store! This store is one of those where you go and find on the right shelve the right product (perfectly organized store)! Most of the Home DepotS have products messed up on shelves, this one in fridley dont (especially these days they updating signs on lines, those which show what product on which line)! As a recommendation for any handy person like me, use pro- desk to do shopping. Courtney cashier will be very helpful and very friendly to you! Even though you stay at cashier only few min (she is doing her job fast!!!), shell raise your mood for the rest of the day! I am a pro-customer, I know the difference in between the Home DepotS, this one is the best! Even though the store lines are ALWAYS have loaded carts from online orders, the floor is clean and perfectly taken care of! Yes, there are some problem like difficulties with help to load your car at 6am, or difficulties with assistance at 6am...but!!! Courtney will solve it for you anyway, she is probably the most knowledgeable cashier in the store 6 stars from 5 to her. Thank you the Home Depot Fridley, Im having good experience with you!

Its still better than Menards. More parking than they know what to do with, and a plentiful selection of home improvement goods. Getting help is a mixed bag — when its good, its generally really good. People are eager to help or answer questions, and that can help make a difference between it being a one or two visit home improvement job or a four- or five-visit job. But every now and then when theyre not staffed as adequately or even when the store is dead, Ill sometimes find it hard to flag down a free team member to either ask a question or get assistance with something. And then Ill easily blow five to ten minutes trying to track down anyone willing to help — and theyre usually not as quick to help because theyre preoccupied with whatever else they think they have to get done before they can help me. But its Home Depot — I dont expect them to be perfect. As long as they continue to be better than Menards, theyll have my business.

Met on of the rudest lady who shouldnt even be given a job with customer service. I bought a 2x5 right across her register, and i notice that the lumber was crack in the middle ready to fall apart. Instead of letting me exchange for a new one, she to take the broken to customer service and notify them, them come back grab the new one, go back and show to customer service, and then bring everything back to her to verify. I did however just grab the new one and went to CS, they then just told me to just new one and no is needed. As I walk out side pass the door she worked at, she left the customer she was ringing and ran out stop me and said she need to see my receipt and the item number on the lumber. I told her that its fine but shell have to walk back with me to CS with her manager and well get to the bottom of this situation. She then quickly say its ok I trust you and went back inside.

Frank is consistently the worst customer service rep I have ever dealt with. Most of the time he is doing returns, but sometimes they let him out to be a real cashier. Either way he is extremely rude and lazy. When I have a return there are rarely other options, but when I see him at a register I will find someone else to ring me up. This store has some of the worst employees of every Home Depot I have visited. There are a few gems, but the old retired guys are terrible to deal with. You would think being as close as they are to Menards they would want to step it up, but that is just wishful thinking. I would highly recommend Menards on Central over the Fridley Home Depot. Dont waste more money with people who would rather not see customers. Frank will ruin any good experience you might have at Home Depot.

Leaf bags. Someone help me understand why you would put a lovely display of non - compliant plastic "leaf bags" next to the sign that says "we are out of paper leaf bags". I take full responsibility in not reading the box of plastic leaf bags that I was purchasing. Although the box clearly says they are "leaf bags" they are not biodegradable or compostable. I missed that part in my haste. It feels sneaky. It feels like you were trying to get rid of old stock and knew people like me would grab and go. Now, weve been tagged by the city with non compliant trash and have to transfer all our bags of leaves into new, compliant, bags. Not happy with myself or with you. : /

This store was very helpful. The manager back in doors and windows Kris Masterson was really Very helpful in solving my problem. I needed to find a replacement storm door handle for my door that broke and he took the time in the busy store to research and find the correct part even though it was not something they stocked. I have now changed this location to my favorite store. It wan not easy to find or order so he was able to find an old door in back and get the piece for me while I was there so I didnt have to wait to secure my front door. Thanks Kris for all your help

This home Depot has always been hit or miss. The last few times I have been there, I was unable to get any help from the staff. And when I was finally able to track them down, I received some rude treatment. It always rubs me the wrong way when a store doesnt honor prices on mislabeled items... And this home Depot excels at it. Last week they had torches on sale and they forgot to take the sign down. The manager refused to budge on the higher price.
